Was the only one there at lunchtime today. Looks like a poor turnout. To be fair nearly didn't vote. Half of the candidates in the ward will get elected anyway. Assuming people vote along similar lines as always it's just a matter of shuffling the deck a little bit for the big parties. Voted independent. No idea what they stand for but weary of the mainstream parties these days. It's only taken me two decades but I'm now non-political haha, used to believe in it all too. I can't even get annoyed about it now.

Went as a neutral. Raith had a short period of about 5 mins second half that had celtic raising their eyebrow slightly. Apart from that well, well beaten. Thought Raith were far too respectful first half and should have got more in Celtic's faces. I know celtic are a good team but they sat off too much too deep. No7 and no9 we're particularly terrible. Fair play to the Raith support though, decent numbers and were heard. Could have been doing with an early booking to get the game spiced up a bit.

Yeah that's really poor. Ironically if he really was a peado would they feel ok joking about it? Doubtful. So its ok then to jump on a bandwagon slandering someone as a wee joke.. poor taste for an official channel as you say. This isn't a WhatsApp group. Hamilton lad got jottered for talking about a jobby, this is a way worse. -

If true I hope he gets his jotters. That's appalling. Not one for dragging people out of jobs but it's not an issue to joke about on official channels, is it. Calling a guy a peado basically when it's been investigated and put to bed long ago. It's the worst you can call someone. Wouldn't be something to joke about even if the facts merited it. Also 18 pound!!? Shambles. Coyb -
This thread doesn't matter as the UK govt have decided it's irrelevant what the target is or any of your opinion. Let that settle in before typing paragraphs about pros, cons and targets. Your opinion doesn't matter. That goes for Oakshelf and it goes for pro-Independents. The liberty to change your mind with arguments good or bad is of no relevance. Doesn't matter what 2, 3, 4, 5 million citizens of Scotland think on the matter, it's upto one person in 10 downing street or a Labour MP for an English constituency maneuvering. Is that right? You decide but if we ever get the chance and I don't expect it anytime soon, i'll be voting Yes.

Assuming we can afford the deal then it's a gamble worth taking til the end of the season. Don't know our finances or budget but can only imagine the management team and board have offered something which is in budget. We're still a midfielder short though. We'll need more than Griffiths.

it was a pretty awful decision so I can see why people are still holding them to account. I agree though the apology seems profound and they ultimately have done the right thing. If McDermid's story about the CEO lying to her face is true though, I think that position is untenable. -

agree, stupid second comment and an unnecessary distraction from the point at hand. Two male directors and countless male fans clearly making a stand. -

Don't disagree with all of this but yes absolutely a line is being drawn at Rape. Different crimes are considered differently by society and justice. I don't understand the point. It's not assault. It's not burglary or breach of the peace. It's rape. Although I wish him well, personally I don't think Martindale should have been given his prominent role either. Rehabilitation yes, as a front line premiership manager, no. -

totally right, was sickened by the amount of this. maybe it's just my perception but there seems to be a new thing now amongst lads in particular that because some social justice campaigners can be righteous arseholes online, it's escalated to real social issues being dismissed as "woke" without any thought. can see it even on this thread. not a good place to be. to be fair, the backlash is massive here. Maybe the rovers fans can make their feelings heard. -

if he'd shown genuine remorse there could, maybe, possibly be a case for rehabilitation. that's a more difficult question and whether rehabilitation should include being able to enjoy a career in professional football is another thing. Not for me. Never happened, just a smug rapist. Feel for the victim today above all. No winners in this. Well said Val McDermid today. -

he's never shown remorse or done his time either. even that argument doesn't hold. appalling. -
Aye sounds like we deserved to win but it's another two points dropped. I just can't imagine Sheerin as manager in the championship. Hate seeing folk lose their job but I don't see it working out in the short or medium term so what's the point in delaying the inevitable? Dropped points next week and I imagine he'll be away.

Ach you might be right. They'll be judged on how Holt and Sheering get on and will need to make the hard decision at some point. I would like to have heard more hard hitting questions (like the crunchie initiative issues and more on the NBG) in the Q&A. Some made a few insinuations about too much money in the mgmt, not in the playing staff without using sufficient facts from the accounts.
