  1. Agree with the points above about the lad Wilson. Looks to have a good attitude and is willing to learn. Monti and him are showing signs of a cracking partnership. Only thing I thought on Sat Wilson could have done a little better was challenging when the ball was up in the air but to be fair the 2 Meadow centre half’s are man mountains. I was critical of the teams work rate last season and there hunger to work hard but this season so far their seems a real willingness to not concede goals. The back four on Sat were terrific . Long may it continue.
  2. Got to agree, game yesterday benefited no one, with Ardeer hardly getting over the half way line. I look at the group with Talbot, Glens, Ford and Darvel now that is a group containing games which are a great way to begin for the league kicking off. Was thinking why not base it on what league you play in closest to the next team, e.g - Buffs, Largs, Meadow, Troon in one section and Ardeer, Saltcoats, Irvine Vics, Whittlets in another, just a thought. Also can anybody explain to me why Meadow are in the same section as Craigmark.
  3. He might be Lacey but meant to say pacey, ha ha.
  4. Nisbet to Glenafton, Wardrope to Hurlford, Nisbet is Lacey but was in and out the team and was never consistent, Wardrope scored one of the best goals I have ever seen against Beith but is a luxury player who in the end up spent half of last season at Winton with Strain coming to his senses that Buffs could no longer carry a luxury.
  5. His pace is scary but at times his link up play can let him down. Will do well to break up the Wilson/Samson partnership but would not be surprised too see him doing it.
  6. Losing Pettigrew is a loss, big season ahead for Syme and Maitland as the centre half pairing, I felt they struggled at times last season in basic defending, need to up their levels to have any chance of the team being successful. Nisbet and Wardrope not a loss, would like too see a proven striker signed to replace Boylan.
  7. Agree with energyzone, pitch and surrounding areas are coming along nicely. I understand if you don’t wish to answer this question, due to this being a public forum but was wondering if that is us done with signings or if their are more to come.
  8. Very good player, if Kilwinning were lucky enough to sign him I think he would benefit from being the main man and he would enjoy playing with Carlo.
  9. Was wondering how Sloan was going to keep all those strikers happy, especially after signing Boylan from Kilwinning. Think Mclroy works in Kilwinning would love to see him at Kilwinning although he won’t be short of offers.
  10. I see my club has signed, Hanvey, Markey and Tan from yourselves. I know what kind of player Hanvey is, what about the other 2.
  11. Nothing wrong with they rules, seem fair to me. Number 1 is a good one, no more running to the other side and then who me, sub.
  12. Like others so many great memories, 94 team, Dundee Downfield, wee Coby with the winner and the shed packed, Camelon scoring last minute winner then beating them the next year 5-0 with Peline scoring a hat trick, Bobby Dickson what a winger, Sloan and Jardine cracking players, Peline scoring a wonder goal against Meadow in the West, won 4-2 after being 2 down, 99 team were a cracking side but McSherry’s side set the standard with Dickson carrying it on, what a team Dickson’s team were, could play and mix it also, Montgomery and Peline would have been a nightmare to play against, Mark Shanks team were also a right good side, winning the league against Troon I think on a horrible day after being 2 down came back and won 7-2, Cashy scoring the overhead kick also, great place, great footballers and more importantly great people.
  13. Went to watch Kilwinning v Ladeside during the week. Was expecting to see a decent Ladeside team but was disappointed. Buffs played well but there was no passion or fight from Kilbirnie with no tackles being made and they were just happy to let Kilwinning play. Management were so quite as well with hardly any instructions being passed on which I found strange for a side who done well last season and with a experienced manager.
