  1. I seen on twitter that he had a 2nd operation on the ankle only last week, not sure if this was pre planned or due to something unfortunate. By all accounts he is working with our club physio but I have no idea with regards to when/if he will return. Delighted with the appointment of Spence and Latta as co-managers, be interesting to see how the dynamic of co-managers works instead of the usual manager and assistant. Good luck to both!
  2. Not sure regarding your points about Arthurlie but from a Meadow point of view that was a decent win. Thought we played some good stuff at times in the 2nd half, although it was quite scrappy throughout due to the conditions. Also good to see a full 90 mins for McGuire, the first since his injury, and almost a full game from Jones who hasn’t been in the squads the last few weeks, not sure if holiday or injury? Miller also coming off the bench is positive despite his mistake for their 2nd goal at the end. Be interesting to see how the new lad does once he is involved, taking the step from Irvine Victoria to ourselves. last 16 of both cups is positive compared to last season.
  3. Also if that’s your argument, not entirely sure how you would explain why our physio was attacked whilst trying to gain entry to the changing rooms? ..
  4. You really are clutching at straws here ...
  5. Stating that they weren’t faultless is you trying to justify it.
  6. There’s not really any excuse for attacking players coming off the pitch. Using the excuse off they celebrated in front of you to in any way claim that justified it is laughable and you need to have a long hard look at yourself. The players had to deal with some horrendous abuse all throughout the game in particular Spenny any Latta but didn’t see them using that as an excuse to go about attacking fans. Onto the next round and Kello awaits.
  7. Apparently it’s sacrilege to dare to pass judgement on the Bankies pitch as we found out after the meadow game there. Very touchy lot that bunch.
  8. How did young Liam Wells play yesterday?
  9. Doubt you’d be asking that ‘simple question’ if you had won ...
  10. Congrats to Clydebank today, thought first half was pretty even but hard to argue against yous winning the game after the 2nd half. Just seen on the Meadow twitter that Ben has a fractured and dislocated ankle and is going in for surgery tomorrow! Fingers crossed it’s successful and he gets back captaining the team soon!
  11. Tbh I don’t think you can 100% rule out the Astro causing the injury, heard someone say his left studs got caught in the turf as he was kicking the ball with his right leg, dont think it was him landing on it at all, I think his foot was already planted. Who knows?
  12. Find it strange that you can recognise that this Darvel Icon isn’t doing you any favours yet yous all defended The Legend to the hilt when tbh the level of stupid, classless statements are the same ...
  13. Buzzing for this today! Mon the Dow.
  14. Just thrilled to be in a position to have this chance to go to the top if we win, this time last year I’m sure almost everyone thought we would be getting relegated. Going for a tough 2-1 victory tomorrow to Meadow
  15. 4 on the bounce in the league now I think. We just keep grinding out results, some amount of energy in this team. Colin Spence man of the match for me yesterday, always looks like he has so much Time on the ball, such an intelligent player. Two massive games coming up in the league against Pollok and Clydebank.
  16. No argument from me, I don't think anybody expected or even claimed for a penalty. Harry Mitchell certainly didn't. Yep your spot on, looks horrendous but got to imagine it looked completely different from the referees angle. Competitive game yesterday albeit lacking in quality for a lot of the game. Good crowd aswell, hope yous do well this season!
  17. It’s also a horrendous decision to award the penalty.
  18. Looking forward to the trip to play Glencairn on Saturday, I see that they scored a hatful of goals in the Scottish at the weekend so I’m sure they’ll be heading into the game with confidence high.
  19. I agree, think Cumnock are in real danger of going down. This is based off of the game at the tail end of last season and the game this year against meadow so admittedly I may have just witnessed them on two poor occasions but they really seemed to lack any cutting edge. Going by reports from their games aswell they seem to be struggling.
  20. Yeah great last 3 wins on the trot. Thought Saturday was the best of the lot, we really seem to suit that formation and most of our big victories have come when playing that way. Big Neil Slooves also seems that suit that formation best and I thought once again he was tremendous, which was great with gow and miller missing. Hope Jordan is alright, there seemed to be a high level of concern over him for what seemed like a nothing coming together. High amount of players missing at the moment but I’m sure every team feels that way. All the the best to buchanhaven hearts, always a shame to have to forfeit a game, hope they bounce back! Into the 3rd round for Meadow however.
  21. Great back to back wins to get back on track following the defeat to Kilwinning. Thought it was back to the Meadow of last year on Sunday with a real stout defensive showing. Unfortunate with Jordo’s sending off, with an appeal failing and an additional 2 games tacked on it does feel very harsh considering the Beith player was the man at fault. Good display aswell last night against a decent Rossvale team. Though Rossvale knocked the ball about well without threatening too much, Meadow CB’s seemed quite comfortable. Thought the left back and left winger for Rossvale were very decent. On too the Derby tomorrow night, hopefully get a few players back soon as with 6 out injured on Sunday and 5 out injured last night + Jordo’s suspension.
