I'm surprised to see greenwood frozen out completely. The only thing i can think is that he doesn't fit the current system we are playing very well being he likes to sit very wide. If we get ourselves sorted out in the middle of the park I'd like to see him come in when we play with width and balls into the box.

Instead of concentrating on all the negativity around the performances and how bad the players are, we should be looking for the positive.... after some digging best I could come up with.... .... who do we think for next summers concert??

McKee on the right would be a shocking decision did he not play on the right of midfield against dundee utd in the play offs? I'm sure I remember Houston playing him there before. He is better at crossing than many of our players.

I suspect we will see Hartley being given the last roll of the dice this week to sign a few players to patch up the squads issues in the same way that houston signed McGhee and Balatoni. Beyond that, no idea how long he'll be given. Personally I'd want a player to replace paton in the holding role and a right back(!), but anticipate a striker and another left back will be incoming.

Its possible that Hartley now considers Robson one for the future and has put him into the reserve/development squad. Be interested to see what happens there. It does make me wonder if Broughs injury is worse than was suggested by Hartley and that he's going to be out up to December.

When was the last time we won a first game of the season? In that period we've finished from 2nd to 8th. Yes there is things to be concerned about like the lack of any cutting edge in the last third, but its game 1 of the season. I'm not a happy clapper, but equally I'm not reaching for the parachute just yet. If the goal had stood from the corner, this place would have been so much more bearable this week!

I was digging around on Irving to see what I could dig up, when I came across this the article from the Edinburgh Evening news.... "The 18-year-old will play with Paul Hartley's Championship side until January 2019, at which point the situation will be reviewed. He can also appear for the Hearts reserve team during his loan spell." I find it bizarre that he might be playing reserve games for hearts as well unless he's not expected to feature much for us?
