Tbh the trip up here may not be as jeapardous as it may have been now we are safe. Our squad is wafer thin at the moment and can’t imagine any players carrying knocks will be risked. We had 4 substitutes today - at home!!

We’ve got sprinklers but it has pished it down recently so not sure extra water would have helped the pitch. We will need several players given how important the loan players have been for us. The management duo have been excellent since they came in so every reason to be positive that they can do some good business.

Disappointed to concede the late equaliser as I thought we deserved to win but after the ref had his inevitable moment in the limelight it seemed unlikely that we would get 3 points. A draw and safety from the trapdoor makes it a very good day! All the best to Peterhead for the playoffs.

I think those fixtures make it more possible not less possible for us to get caught tbh. If we get a win in the last 3 games we’re safe. I would have taken that in a heartbeat earlier in the season.

That could be a massive point for us given our goal difference. Not safe yet but if Clyde lose in the next 2 games we can’t be caught. Made my shambles of Grand National betting a bit more palatable!

There is absolutely no way that we are safe yet - especially given our horrific goal difference. The wind made it very difficult today but we were well worth a point at least and scored 2 excellent goals so not a disaster. It’s going to be a very nervy end to the season especially given our injuries that just seem to increase each week.

Congratulations Stenny. Easily the best and most consistent team - thoroughly deserved. Please have a full week on the beer and turn up hungover next Saturday!!

Tbf it’s pretty hard to have an attacking game if both defences are dominating

Draw was a fair result I thought. Not the greatest game but 2 very well taken goals. Golding was a huge miss for us and we missed his ability to take the ball and keep it in the final third. Results went our way so not a disaster. Nice to see a good crowd - ladies day helps obviously but the performances are undoubtably bringing a few more in.

This is ridiculous. You don’t think the person who spat at someone in the first place, causing the ensuing reaction is more to blame? This is why these things happen, because there are apologists on the internet absolving horrible actions because they don’t like the inevitable recourse. If you spit at someone expect to get physical retaliation- what you do as a job makes no difference!

That picture means nothing in isolation- anything could have happened. Not saying it isn’t a foul but you can’t tell from that. The excellent Stranraer FC highlights may shed some light ( if they were recording today!). Great 3 points for Elgin - not safe by any stretch but other teams have a lot more worries than us currently!

Leathering someone who spits at you is a perfectly reasonable response. It should be written in law! Disgusting cowardly behaviour!

A great point for Elgin. Our record at Peterhead is pretty grim so really positive that we came away with something. The bottom half of the league is starting to look very jeopardous, and a run of games without points could be very costly for a few teams. We look in good shape to keep getting a few good results so hopefully we will not be the team that is looking anxiously at 10th place.

Very decent game. Little disappointed not to take all 3 points but a draw against the team destined to win the title isn’t a bad result. Points are the main requirement but it really is heartening to see us play some good football. It’s quite a fun and optimistic trip to Borough Briggs these days which is a turnaround I barely thought possible so huge credit to the management team and players.

Nah. No time for fans that spend 90 mins calling everyone a c@nt and giving it the big un then pearl clutching when they get something back. No idea what happened but I’d bet that guy has had some abuse given the reports on fans behaviour pre/post game.

Well that was unexpected. Late goal for Elgin to win away from home seems like the answer to “Things that happen in a leap year” they come around so seldom. Great 3 points and given the Stranraer v Clyde result, a real step up away from the trapdoor!

Great result and the best team performance for quite some time. Really just need to add a few more goals as that game should not have still been in the balance right up to the final whistle- 3/4 - 0 would have been a fair reflection on the balance of play. Gallagher well worth MOTM but there were some excellent performances all across the team. Peterhead getting a late equaliser just tops off a very positive day!

If a defender clatters into the attacker trying an overhead kick in order be in an area that makes the foot dangerous I suspect it would be a penalty more often than a free kick for the defending team.

If the keeper does arrive late and foul Jones there would be no contact.

Great result especially after going a goal down. Stranraer we’re the better team in the first half but Elgin put in a much better performance second half which is very pleasing as we’ll need to grind out some points in a lot a games in a league that could get very tight at the bottom end. Very decent debut from Golding, we desperately need some positivity when attacking and he provided that well today. Agree with comment regarding the strips - suprised the officials did not make a team change colours tbh.

Great result and very pleasing performance. I thought we were very decent all over the pitch. Not quite on the Jones love in but he did put in his best performance and took his goal very well. Great end to a pretty awful 12 months!
