  1. Oh yes, pleasantly surprised [emoji106] Still need to get experience in the team young fella, it’s a must! Just watch the signings AJ makes in the near future. There will be a bit of experience, I’m sure [emoji12]
  2. Hhmmm, one player at 36 years old is experience in abundance? I don’t think so! As good as Wullie has been last season and hopefully this season we need at least one or two more experienced players, not just on the park but off it as well.
  3. Totally agree with the last paragraph, we need some experience in the team. Really pleased with AJ & SC’s signings so far on a limited budget [emoji106]
  4. Dan Pybus seemingly had a decent game for Dunfermline today. Would like to have seen him still at Palmerston, but tbh a bit injury prone.
  5. Big Aero, the gift that keeps on giving! What has the big fella got against the Queens. 5/2, shoe in after 34 minutes [emoji12][emoji106]
  6. You’d make more money, sticking it on Aero getting booked! 5/2 with McBookie, lump on, its a certainty [emoji106]
  7. Ciaran is highly regarded by the Rangers management team. Could be another good bit of business by AJ and Sandy [emoji106]
  8. 3 year deal is massive in these times, well done Michael [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122] Tomorrow they are 11/8 win or draw at home to a mediocre Stirling Albion side. Big, big price!!
  9. I’m taking this hard having to agree with Reverend IM Jolly but he’s correct. Wullie Gibson was a decent player, but he’s never a defender. We need a couple of loan defenders in ASAP.
  10. Two great posts about the captaincy. Stephen Dobbie is a phenomenal player at Scottish Championship level. I’ve posted before that I don’t think he’s Captain material because over the last few seasons I’ve found that he wants to argue/complain too much at referees ( some poor admittedly) instead of organising/motivating our players. I’ve always been a believer that the Captain should be a defender or midfielder. It’s far better seeing the game from their positions as opposed to Stephen looking back the way. An important few weeks coming up. Not only do we need to get another couple of loan defenders on board but we need some points on board early, into this unpredictable season. Been impressed by the standard of players brought in so far on AJ’s very limited budget [emoji106]
  11. You must be on the sauce SD, you are going number crazy lol. Tbh your facts are quite impressive [emoji106]
  12. If my memory is correct, Billy Hewitson said during his interview from the arena that the emphasis was on youth this season. Well it certainly looks like it. Hope there’s one or two really good youngsters getting on board. Looks like a very interesting season coming up in more ways than one [emoji848]
  13. Never really showed much at the start of last season. Ended up being half decent imo. Comfortable on the ball and can play in midfield or fill in at right back. Nothing flash, just a steady player. Being honest, it would have been nice to have him back at Queens for this season but not too fussed he’s not there. Probably just end up being a squad player at Queens Park [emoji848]
  14. This boy is a talent, already looking forward to see him pulling on the Queens jersey! First noticed him playing against us in December 2018. He ran the midfield that day and I believe some big clubs were already looking at him. Think he eventually left for around £350,000 to Norwich. We managed to sneak a win that day when Sir Stephen scored in the 81st minute then pulled his hammy celebrating and went off injured. We also got away with what looked a stonewall penalty when Mikey Doyle took out Blair Spittal in injury time. The squad is starting to take a bit of a shape, already looks a bit better than what we had last year! Hopefully AJ can get some more half decent players in and we can do a bit better than last season! Don’t think my wife can take much more of me going home like a bear after watching some of the dross we witnessed in the second half of last season! [emoji15]
  15. What height is he? A reckon about 6ft 5ins going by Buchanan’s height? Good to see another local boy in! Well done Tommy [emoji122][emoji122]
  16. Connor Shields scored the third goal against Queens in the 3-3 draw in October 2018. Think it was a back post header if my memory serves me correct? Actually put Alloa 3-0 up after 25mins and I was ready for home! Fortunately for us a Sir Stephen hat trick rescued a point against our bogey team! Connor looked quite decent that day as did Jake Hastie who was on loan to Alloa from Motherwell.
  17. Aidan Fitzpatrick would be a very good signing for Queens. Was very impressed with him when he played against us with Partick at Palmerston. Very busy player with a great engine who gets from box to box. Would be a great addition to any Championship squad [emoji106]
  18. Talented boy Sean. Ayr Utd had high hope’s for him when he was there. Could definitely play at a higher level.....
  19. Some cracking goals right enough. Common denominator was that his best goals were against teams wae “Wee Jobby McCall” in charge! Hence his signing for Partick. Interesting times ahead in the next couple of months for Queens. Hopefully AJ has got some half decent players tapped up!
  20. Dunfermline being busy today. Dom Thomas, Declan McManus and Kevin O’Hara all signed up on permanent deals. Having seen all three perform at Palmerston, I would say that’s pretty good business imo.
  21. Ex Queens player Ian McShane has apparently signed for Darvel Juniors! They have been throwing a bit of money about over the last couple of years. Brownings the bakers are the backers I believe [emoji848] Didn’t realise he was only 27 years old. Maybe he’s not the player he was last time around at Queen’s but he would definitely be an upgrade on what midfield players we had last season. Don’t know wether AJ would have been interested or not? [emoji848]
  22. Gary Harkins has just announced his retirement from football at the grand old age of 35. My best memory of Gary at Queens was his goal against Ayr in the 5-0 rout! He risked his life running in front of the Ayr support rubbing his stomach due to the pelters he was getting from them about his weight! Very talented player who probably didn’t look after himself in the later stages of his career. Shame......
  23. Nick Walsh is the best I’ve seen over the last year or two. Willie Collum has been decent as well and probably gets some uncalled for grief. Got to say I loved Bobby Madden’s story on his car share with Si Ferry. He was 4th official at a game not too long ago and Robbie Neilson was giving him some about the referee who was doing the match “wanting to be all the players friend”. He then said to Bobby “you’ve got to be a p***k to be a good referee”. “You’re a good referee Bobby” An absolute classic from Robbie. How he could get away with calling Bobby a p***k and not be sent up to the stand! [emoji23][emoji106]
