  1. Is there any chance you could take Gary Naysmith as well please?
  2. Ah! OK. Fair enough. Now I know. We see things from the opposite sides, that's all. Apologies anyway!
  3. OK. So do City not play at Ainslie Park? Tbh, I'm puzzled what your problem is with me here?
  4. I've actually not been at a Spartans game for two or three years now, and probably only seen 3 in my life, so I don't know where that's come from?
  5. To be fair, there will be plenty of empty seats on Friday for you to choose from!
  6. I don't log in here so much these days as I've lost a lot of interest in the club this last year, but last night's result prompts me to post. The chairman / board / whoever, have made quite a few Bad decisions since the re-start in March, and giving the managers job to Naysmith was the worst of the lot! Right from the start it was obvious Gary Naysmith was clueless about our team, by killing the momentum we had built during James MacDonagh's time in charge! GN inherited a team that probably would have finished second again (No one could match Kelty) and certainly would have made the play-offs comfortably, BUT No, he rips that all to shreds clears everyone out and replaces them with poor standard journeymen and young boys on loan for a bit experience! Hopefully, IF the club do the right thing!.......the new manager can clear half that squad out and get better players In, in January to keep us up in League two!
  7. I believe there's been some changes these last 18 months Tam, and it's now called the vaccinated Arms....
  8. My point is I'd prefer to watch Edinburgh City every saturday. I'm Not sure what you're point is.......
  9. Good for you Cowdenbeath that your team has games every Saturday! Tell you what, if City decide to play the Bo'ness game on the Friday night then you're welcome to have my seat as I won't be bothering! Funnily enough I might go to Cowdenbeath that Saturday if I'm looking for a game as I quite like to watch the odd Civil Service Strollers match!
  10. Have you heard the date for this tie yet anybody? Is it possible we'll get the Saturday afternoon 3pm for this one? OR are we still stuck with the shitey Friday night slot?
  11. Annan are this week's visitors to New Central Park, to play the League Leaders. Kelty had another 1-0 home win last week with an early goal from Nathan Austin the difference against Stranraer. Annan have (had) been playing very well this season and sat in 2nd place before last week's 1-3 loss at home to Edinburgh City. No doubt Athletic will be keen to get back on track here (and probably play better away from home???), however Kelty themselves will want to push on and secure another 3 points towards their title push. This should be a really goood game!
  12. Friday night action at Ainslie park, sees Edinburgh City host the Blue Brazil. City, much improved recently, looking to add another 3 points here, but we do have quite a few injuries so don't know what sort of team we'll have available. Cowdenbeath on the other hand, started the season in decent form, but no been getting the results the last few weeks. Should still be a tight game, maybe 1-0 either way?
  13. THE Big match of the weekend! (Well it is for Annan and Edinburgh city fans) Annan have been in good form this season and play an Edinburgh City team finally finding a way to win games after a slow start. Too close to call for me so I'll predict 1 goal each.
  14. Despite losing at home to Kelty, I still think Stirling Albion will finish in the top two this season! For this game, you'd expect an easy home win, but it's also this type of match you usually get a surprise result! (Especially with a few former players returning).
  15. I've not seen it advertised anywhere, but I believe there's a football match on at Ainslie Park on Friday night! Elgin are always a good team, and provide a tough test to every team in League Two. We all know by now Edinburgh City have not been as good this season. However, it seems there have been a bit more promise the last two weekends that a reasonable team might be developing. I don't see many goals in this one, and so predict 1-0 either way! Enjoy!
  16. We're not playing the down though. We've genuinely signed a poorer team than we had for a few seasons. Anyways luckily for you Kelty are a good team, and your prediction of a goal fest is quite possible!
  17. Yes that, and his released list from the end of the season.
  18. Fair enough big man. I respect your opinion. Just I thought we looked decent in spells against Stenhousemuir. We do have some good players, just not enough. We all know what the biggest problem is though! As soon as that gets sorted I believe we'll start moving back in the right direction.
  19. So Edinburgh City have a short journey over to Kelty this weekend, to play the favourites for the League two title. Kelty have been in good form with wins over Cowden and at Stirling Albion. City have, well,..... not been so good this season as normal so I guess there's only one result here.... Anyway, It's great at least to be able to get in to watch the football these days.
  20. Nah.....while we're not quite good enough, we're also not THAT bad to be in the relegation play-offs surely! I'd currently see us fininshing anywhere between 5th and 8th as there's usually a couple of dross teams become tailed off over the season.
  21. Great Post that big man! Sums up exactly how I see it! We were maybe spoiled the last three years having James McDonagh in charge, and the quality of players we had then. It doesn't look like the current manager or players will be good enough to even get us a place in the payoffs this season.
  22. That's a good, fair summary Cesc. Looked like two average mid-table teams to me. A draw, maybe 2-2 would have been a fair reflection of that game. I don't think either team are good enough to make the play-off, but this is league Two which is pretty shit standard so one might sneak into 4th come the end of the season. Edinburgh City are a work in progress after a horrific summer overhaul of the complete squad! Some encouraging signs we are moving in the right direction last night. Stenhousemuir have enough to be safe midtable but need a bit more quality as well. Good to be back in the stadium, although Friday nights don't work for me, so I’ll be at more away games than home this season.
  23. It's good to see Forfar fans optimistic again after the season you had last year. No doubt you've improved a bit, but being realistic you've beaten two poor teams so far, and now Kelty are a big step up in quality. Just like Stirling Albion last week, I'd expect your optimism to be crushed by the Maroon Machine! 1-3 Kelty win I'd expect.
  24. I'd agree! Apologies to the Stenny fans here to talk about Friday nights match.
  25. There's No doubt if your coming from say Musselburgh or Portobello, anywhere south or west and having a session in the pub is important, then Meadowbank is a great move. If your coming from North Edinburgh, Fife, anywhere North just to watch a football match then this move to "a shite K-Park" is not so attractive! What I'm not having is people saying you get a rubbish view of the game at Ainslie Park. Much better to watch the actual match at AP than it's going to be at Meadowbank with the running track and small three row stand.
