  1. Took in Oakley v Peebles today, one goal always going to be decisive and think Peebles just about deserved it. Great to see even in a meaningless game the result mattered to Peebles lads at the end of the game. That’s what it’s all about!
  2. Real up and down game at Tweedmouth yesterday - Though not at their best, Peebles grabbed their opportunities and whilst win flatters them am sure they will gladly take it. it’s unfortunate the Tweedmouth manager thought to resign on back of that performance as his team gave everything. Seen Peebles a good few times and I don’t believe League position is true reflection, can’t help think they might put a spanner in the works of one of the more fancied teams going for top 5.
  3. Just to be clear GordonS, totally agree no blame IMO to the referee at all here.
  4. Was at game and tbh ref didn’t have a hope Peebles full back fouled, then Easthouses guy followed up with fresh air swipe then descended into what can only be described as a scrum. A lot of guilty players on view but Easthouses no 6 stood out, he ran 30 yards threw punches left right and centre even having time to aim one at a fan. No idea if ref caught everything but if he did he’ll still be writing report now. It was a real shame cos game and second half in particular was brilliant end to end game with real quality goals especially Easthouses free kick. Interesting when ref blew for end I’d say it was the actions of a final whistle and pointed to centre circle, there was no waving of arms to indicate abandonment. Outcome will be interesting?
  5. Hoping to see a decent crowd descend on Peebles on Saturday, with absence of senior games great chance to take in local derby v Penicuik, looking at the forecast I predict Stand tickets will be at a premium! Here’s hoping for cracking game as Peebles home form been excellent recently.
  6. Big congrats to all involved, spoke with a few guys from Duni at Peebles and rightly proud of their efforts. Best of luck guys, apologies for nicking the tie on Saturday.
  7. Really pleased for Peebles yesterday - not a bad point away to Dunbar and I know Peebles resources were stretched. Should give guys confidence going forward. Well done Smithy and the lads.
  8. Brilliant work Penicuik- great coverage. Penicuik worthy winners but impressed by young Rovers team, showing great commitment.
  9. Thanks Rigano might pop along tonight, see how the Rovers doing under young Ger.
  10. Heard Peebles were impressive on Saturday and 4-3 result flattered a high flying Heston team as it was 4-1 on 90 mins according to report. Good luck to Peebles tomorrow, should be a decent game, assume pitch all fine?
