Post Split Fixtures

It would be quite funny if Dundee made top six and Rangers ended up getting sent there again, very unlikely I know but the heads gone and statements would be fantastic. -

The Ricksen one was utterly bizarre, died too young from a horrible disease but not connection to our club, I could perhaps have understood it had we been playing Rangers that week but we weren’t. In short, ex player, manager, club worthy, or significant national figure minutes applause or silence before the game, a fan then the end of year roll of honour is the place -

St Mirren have done an end of season remembrance for fans that have passed in the previous 12 months with their names being read out and displayed in the big screen, that should be the best time for this kind of thing.- 106 replies

At least he has gone to a team that is always likely to be above us just now and weakened a team that we are more likely to be competing against. -

I think that game had a ‘ in the box, or outside the box’ VAR penalty decision too. -

The Aberdeen players all worked hard for 90 mins, and then Devlins lazy run combined with Olusanya’s pace and determination turned the game. Devlin is on the side of the 6 yard box and Olusanya was behind the penalty spot when the ball broke. First time coming from behind to win a game this season if not longer? Must also be the longest a team has been in the lead and end up not winning a game. -
I was slightly surprised yesterday, it did look like the players were up for it, loads of petty fouls to break up the game and certainly looked far better than St J that we played the previous week. But then for the winner none of the players took the obvious chances to break up the play with a foul as we streamed forward. First 90 minutes he had them playing ok. Last 3 or 4 back to the old Aberdeen. I suspect he will chuck it before he can do a full Butcher.

St Mirren V St Johnstone 24th February
DumbartonBud replied to The Saintee's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
I haven’t seen the goal back yet but looked very soft at the time, if it had been given I suspect we would have gone on to score a couple more as St J were as poor as I have ever seen them and seemed to have no stomach for the fight. After we scored the atmosphere was great but once it was disallowed it went flat. -

First goal the winner, we’ve not had a game where both teams scored since the start of November. -

Can’t give advice on price or how rare it is but I have the away version which is black with the white stripe and I think it looks great. -

I saw Darryl Duffy play and score for Largs earlier this season against Pollok. He scored more goals in 10 mins in that game than he did his entire St Mirren ‘career’ -

The question is how far will Livi fall……. Falkirk levels or hang about the championship with the odd promotion push. -
Both supports have wee Fannie’s that they are embarrassed by, the sooner they grow up or F off the better. As for the game, all ‘wells chances came from our mistakes and we huffed and puffed all game, glad we have the points on the board already and can’t really see ‘well causing too many teams any problems. We will sink….. but not to their depths.

I was the muppet in the South Stand shouting for a pen when everyone else was shouting for the goal. I think it was only me, the ref and the linesman that missed it, at least I saw the pen, they missed both. -

Double Winning St Johnstone FC Thread

It isn’t a scientific point in anyway but today we had two guys booked, other than a couple of slightly cynical things St J never looked close to getting anyone booked. Very little fight, defence always looked like they had a mistake in them and forwards that never looked like scoring. Said in the match thread the only positive for St J is they look so bad this early they might have time to turn it around, how that happens I don’t know. -
St. Mirren vs St. Johnstone 28/10

The only thing St Johnston have going for them is that they are so bad just now they have a chance to try and turn it around ………. Not sure how they do it but they have a chance.
