  1. It's not Martin Hardie, it's Martin Harty who is our coach, he's a good lad.
  2. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ thankfully we don't have Instagram 😁
  3. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ we never posted anything about Hemmings, so that's bull.
  4. It's nothing to do with us. Kilmac have the contract for the camperdown car park upgrade with Dundee City Council.
  5. Ruled himself out of Dundee & Kilmarnock. Think he wants another crack in England.
  6. Scott Gardiner is the ICT CEO now. I'm taking that statement from them with a pinch of salt personally.
  7. He can get us up in his first season, keep us up 2nd season then McPake to take it from there (During that time, McPake has a greater role in the first team backroom staff), I'd take that.
  8. McPake taking charge for Saturday apparently https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/derek-adams-john-robertson-and-jim-goodwin-linked-with-dundee-as-jim-mcintyre-exits-1-4925699
  9. I'd take George Burley if he wanted it. Meant to be a good manager (exc. Scotland era), Hartley rated him whilst at Hearts saying his training was first class and has lots of contacts. Goodwin, Wieghorst or Stuart McCall for me. I hope it's not Alan Stubbs, Gary Locke or Kenny Miller.
  10. No vote of confidence in that statement for McIntyre. Thank god for that, he will be away once relegation is confirmed. Youth development takes years and years to get right or you can do a United and take youngsters like Armstrong/GMS/Robertson from lower league clubs but not too young an age and put them in the first team. I'd like to see a bit of both at Dens, the likes of Cammy Kerr, Wighton, McDonald and Robertson who were picked up from Dundee at a very young age and go through the ranks and then also have the route of like, Armstrong, Robertson pinch them for lower league clubs and put them in the first team.
  11. TBH, we should have of taken a punt on Czeslaw Michniewicz, than McIntyre, couldn't have been any worse. The next appointment is crucial, we need to go up at the first time of asking. Do we go left field and appoint someone like; Austin MacPhee or Stephen Kenny? Every appointment is a risk, however, you reduce the risk by doing your homework. I do feel we need a total clear out of backroom staff though, new blood, new voices required.
  12. Agreed. But some fans just want to blame the Americans at every turn. They have made mistakes, however, the person or people advising them are to blame as well, along with the managers/players and current/former directors within the last 2/3 years.
  13. I agree Ludo. Weighorst would be an excellent appointment and would get the excitement back, maybe even push season ticket sales. However, it would be a gamble and probably expensive. However, you could argue that every appointment is a gamble. Hopkin would certainly get us organised and more physical and did a great job with Livingston on a smaller budget than what Dundee would give him. Goodwin is an excellent coach and communicator, but maybe a bit early for him? Hartley was actually decent for Dundee. His third season let him down, his recruitment was poor. He drew a lot of games though as Dundee manager. John Robertson, Stuart McCall and Terry Butcher would actually be okay for us I think if they were able to bring in their own backroom team. They all have had success at their clubs (Inverness, Motherwell, Inverness) and would make us very organised and probably within our budget/wages. They also have a decent recruitment history too, which is critically for us at present. We simply have to stop building new teams every season, it’s cost a fortune. Ideally, you would bring in an Archie Knox, Craig Brown type person to help Nelms run the club. I understand some fans want Nelms out, but the reality he isn’t going anywhere, so we need realistic options to help him.
