  1. Pretty clear that he played on because West Ham were so close to goal, as soon as the shot went wide he called on the medical staff. Four seconds, or less as they'd have to jump up and get to the side of the pitch. https://www.clippituser.tv/c/gkzpqd
  2. Already is: Shame they got put out the two biggest cups but at least it means they can concentrate on the league. Fixtures man has it set up nicely for them welcoming EK on the last day of the season, and a free week the Saturday before due to Selkirk's demise.
  3. Unless they are in an area with lots of Junior clubs around them, surely the EOS is the way to go. I can't see Syngenta or any top LEAFA clubs wanting to join the SJFA. Remember this is Scotland, things don't move quickly - let's get everyone agreed and together at tier 6, then merge the east, and finally integrate the SOS! That's one for the Junior forum - it's been asked many times to define being "Junior" and what makes them unique but we've never got an answer... If you don't have a separate league system, the SFA deals with disciplinary, there's no reinstatement, the fixtures are sorted so the seasons end at the same time, and if there is an SFA non-league cup then you're basically only junior because you're still with the SJFA. If the EOS took in the Tayside clubs I don't think anyone further south than Penicuik would be in the EOS Premier to begin with. Maybe it would need to be regionalised at tier 7 as a second east division would surely include some Tayside and Border clubs. Though it should be contingent on the west doing the same and integrating the SOS, which would then solve the whole issue of where Dalbeattie or Gretna go when relegated. As for LL relegation - the goal should be to work towards two regions at tier 6 each with automatic promotion, and two down from the LL.
  4. Btw how close are you to meeting the entry level SFA licence requirements?
  5. The only saving grace is that (I assume) you will still need a licence to play in the LL. So if this comes in for 19/20, it's unlikely that a current junior club will be a licensed champion, so it might just be a EOS/SOS play-off (if the LL relegation stays at 1), delaying things a bit. Who knows, maybe by 20/21 the SFA might have come to their senses and integrated the east. Or some West Lothian or Fife Superleague clubs get sick of going to Tayside and move over.
  6. According to the match report he was unveiled at lunch time to the fans - and was thought to have scored the winning goal (later corrected to another player) https://www.bonessunited.co.uk/boness-reach-first-senior-cup-final/ His name has been on the suspension list since July, so unless the club thought he was ok to play in the cup games, they've not bothered to check the PDF.
  7. The SFA run the Scottish Cup, all the other competitions are run by the various leagues. The SPFL "punished" Hearts with a two point deduction in their group (though it conveniently allowed them to still win their group on goal difference).
  8. Update after this week's games. Only a draw this week thanks to Rangers, though that still moves us closer to 19th. Red Star Belgrade look increasingly unlikely to get anything so we need two wins to move up a position (still doable). Belarus will probably get another win before the campaign finishes, while Sweden and Norway got a draw in their game against each other. 19 Serbia 5.500 21.750 1 UCL 20 Scotland 5.500 20.875 +0.250 2 UEL 21 Belarus 3.500 20.375 1 UEL 22 Sweden 3.125 19.900 +0.250 1 UEL 23 Norway 4.875 19.700 +0.250 2 UEL 24 Poland 2.250 19.250 0 25 Kazakhstan 3.750 18.750 +0.250 1 UEL https://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method5/crank2019.html
  9. No rush for the SCC as the 5th round is in March. 1st December is a Qualifying Cup/League Cup date - bookmark this link for future reference: https://www.eosfl.com/downloads/eosfl/The-East-of-Scotland-Football-League-Season-2018-19-Fixture-List.pdf
  10. It's on Extra 3 or the red button. And clips being shown on the goals show on BT Sport 1. Because he's French and goalkeepers get away with far too much.
  11. Ok so there is no such thing as a licensed ground, just a ground which meets the entry ground criteria for a licence. Let's not play silly buggers with semantics - if a club gets their licence playing at a ground, it means an unlicensed club which meets all of the non-ground requirements could replace them or groundshare and also get their licence. No - only Carluke, Cumnock, Petershill and Port Glasgow from the west juniors indicated they met the entry licensing criteria.
  12. Only mention of pitch markings in the SFA licensing manual is for Gold-Bronze rated grounds which must be for football only, entry level (SPFL League 1/2) you are able to do both, like Gala.
  13. Problem is the other Cardiff options are a similar home kit, or their white away kit (maybe still a clash?). Best option would've been if someone spotted the clash earlier, and had Cardiff (away) v Glasgow home (black).
  14. Whoops, thanks - got League 1/2 confused...
  15. No way you can groundshare at Gartcairn, you need a licensed ground in the LL.
  16. Indeed, last season they were looking for protection from the officials and it was the other way about there. Just another example of why VAR is urgently required in the Premier League.
  17. The four Irish clubs will know just now whether they will be in the UCL/UEL next year, so presumably their players' contracts will include an option to extend it for a month in Nov 2019 if they make the group stage.
  18. Bohemians lost an FAI Cup semi replay recently, if they'd won they'd be in the final on 4th November - surely just extend the contracts for 2 weeks?
  19. Suppose the only way to stop it would be if the east juniors collapsed completely and was left with just the Tayside clubs! Maybe the EOS would need to approach the 20 clubs south of the Tay and persuade them to join? I'm sure Inverkeithing and Rosyth would like to play each other, and clubs could avoid the Tayside trips if they moved. Apart from Fauldhouse none of them would've been playing in the Superleague this season without the exodus so they should be fine joining at tier 7 or below. Mulraney is chairman at Alloa, with BSC Glasgow as tenants, and his group owns the company that sponsors the LL so you'd hope he would vote the right way... Presumably they'd go to the EOS Premier. But could a EOS team move to the Superleague and vice-versa, or are the teams locked into the same league forever?
  20. Saw this elsewhere, disgraceful from the Kennoway player - apparently he got away with this and his victim got a red card! (in the cup, and can't find a thread for either team to post in):
  21. No - league and Scottish Cup games take precedence. Might end up being 10th November (date for the next round) unless some are played midweek.
  22. Yes the cut-off for being seeded in QR2 this season was 5.000 CC, but the points have changed - Aberdeen got 1.50 for going out in QR2, whereas they only got 1.00 for going out in QR3 previously. So maybe their 5.500 might not be enough, we'll see. The rest are relying on the country minimum (4.125 just now) though another Rangers win would put them up to 5.250 CC.
  23. https://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method5/ccoef2019.html If you remove the UCL bonus points we are still behind three countries, though we go top if you do it by the average points as we have fewer teams (but played more games!). We have an extra opportunity to get a few more points next season as all three of our UEL teams starting from the first qualifying round, but in QR2 and beyond we might not be as lucky with the draw - all three non-Celtic teams would probably still be unseeded.
