it is a bit of a gamble, I agree on that but IMO its 100% worth taking, 4/5 month deal to get us in the playoff and give ourselfs a chance of promotion - the club laid out how damaging it will be to us to spend another season in this league, the extra money generated from a couple of playoff games would probably cover his wages to the end of the season. Its got the potential to be a fantastic or disaster of a signing, I'm not denying that but I say we roll the dice.

LG would be an unbelievable signing for us IMO, it was only 15 months ago he was part of the Scotland squad that got us to the euros - if he does end up at TFS that's a monumental fall from grace in a very short time period, surely it wont take that much to get him back to somewhere near where he was 15 months ago. Although I'm not totally convinced by MR yet all his signings this window have been upgrades and have all improved the team so I will trust him on this aswell.

Although minority the PG together own the single largest shareholding in the club, other larger shareholders, SA, MR and the Rawlins have all took a step back, ie want nothing to do with running the club. On DGW, without even looking at the morality of the decision - the spilt it will obviously cause within the fanbase should be enough to kibosh the signing, especially at a time everyone need to be pulling together. I'm not convinced today's statement is teeing up the signing as many seem to think.

while I agree with a lot of this, I would make the point that the patrons group have not bought a majority of the shares therefore don't have overall control, its very much based on the "three legged stool" approach. The club still have major shareholders (Rawlins, SA, MR) and because of the %ages have a right to have their interests represented on the board if they so wish - this may be why GW and RB are on the new board, although that is complete speculation by me. Its going to take time for the FSS to build a membership and appoint long term board members - the quickest way to make this happen is for as many of us as possible to sign up. I share your frustration with the Rawlins - first trip to the club and some heat from fans and they decide to take a back seat, not really the leadership I thought/hoping we would get from them. as many have said it will be a massive step in the right direction for Holt and AT to be shown the door swiftly.
