  1. Poor, very poor finish to the transfer window for us. Desperately needed another creative player. But Caulker is free should we need another CB!
  2. Does this weaken Morton, sitting joint top at the moment? Surely good news for us.
  3. Like to see a little more creativity added before tomorrow, unless our plan is to win the league by our centre-backs scoring from set pieces.
  4. Benji on twitter hoping for a one way ticket from EDN airport, much to read into. Surely he's not chucked it already?
  5. ‪A “United Way” suggests that we as a club have a footballing philosophy and we are not simply funding one managers ideas on the game. If this is not the case then MM needs to go along with the manager, it is pure negligence. ‬
  6. Last season the squad was questionable but this season there seems to be enough quality there but the message isn’t clear - he has to go but I fear he’ll be given till at least the Patrick game.
  7. I don't recall saying that was my preference or should be the clubs preference my argument is we have brought resources to the club and those resources should be used in the appropriate manner, we can ill afford to have people at our club that do not actively contribute ( David Southern being another example ). The club have stated they are bringing back the United way and I’d question how this translates into our recent signings (other than the 25-mile radius). The players being brought to the club will be given a chance just like every other player but I fail to see the strategy (identity) we are trying to establish and build upon. The club will live and die by its recruitment therefore, it's not narrow-minded that alarm bells should be ringing given its been a monumental failure over recent seasons - I don't think you can argue that's been dreamt.
  8. The basis of the argument is he was brought back to the club to identify players within his skill set (as chief scout of england), There is no false premise: "I am delighted to be back working for my club," he told United's website. "I look forward to working hard and using my knowledge of the English game to bring talent to the club." Of 12 signings there has been no one that fits that nature.
  9. We brought sturrock back to the club because of his knowledge of the English lower leagues, if we are not signing from there then why have we invested in this new ”scouting network”? The inverted commas is because there is none - certainly none in the 12 we have signed. The point being we have invested in a scouting network with no clear strategy or signing policy.
  10. As I've said, all this summers signings undermine the ”newly” appointed scouting network.
  11. As much as MM AND SL seems to be muppets he's being backed by the board in terms of funds and signings. What baffles me is we have no clear long term signing policy or governance around the players being brought in. Ok, Luggy is now there but I cannot see him or Bow rubber stamping some 3rd rate Congolese / Belgium player. The whole point in having this new scouting network was to identify players from the English lower leagues that have a sell on value that Motherwell and Inverness (under butcher & yogi) did successfully in recent times - not one person that I can read has called bullshit on this whole set up and the way its operating.
