  1. This probably doesn't help amateur football although are any am clubs applying/preparing to apply for the seniors next season or juniors?
  2. Could we potentially see something similar to Premiership -> Championship -> SPFL1, SPFL2, SPFL3, Lowland League, LL2, EoS, EoS Conferences/Juniors, Eos Rest of Junior structure with no change Premiership -> Championship -> SPFL1, SPFL2, SPFL3, Lowland League, LL2, West of Scotland League (Junior top league), rest of West Junior Structure Premiership -> Championship -> SPFL1, SPFL2, SPFL3, Lowland League, LL2, South of Scotland League Premiership -> Championship -> SPFL1, SPFL2, SPFL3, Highland League -> Highland Junior structure With East, West & South competing for a place in the LL2? Edit: To keep the OG pyramid, would an option be moving next seasons EoS top league into LL2 and same amount of clubs from SoS into LL2 to get it started? That will then allow the bottom of the conferences to form the new EoS top league next season with the juniors structure unchanged and feeding directly into EoS.
  3. Set OneDrive up on my laptop and PC so that I can continue working on files etc on the go and it seemed ike the easiest 'out the box' solution for me however now all my desktop shortcuts/icons are syncing between the two machines and I have two firefox shortcuts etc. Is there a way I can tell OneDrive not to sync shortcuts? I know I can disable disable syncing altogether however I'd still like files to come over? Edit: Scrap that - it's only .lnk files that are syncing, not desktop shortcuts. Just need to manually change the file type on my main machine and problem solved.
  4. Is there any comparisons between 200 lux and 300 lux? Sorry if I'm being naive but 100 doesn't seem like an awfully big jump for two different bands.
  5. I think having floodlights as a requirement is a good idea however my two main concerns are how many junior clubs currently have them installed Vs the number that don't and how much will it cost the clubs to install them? Could the financial impact destroy some of the clubs?
  6. Is this maybe not one of the issues and/or one of the biggest if not the biggest? Amateur football shouldn't be "I can't play anywhere else so I'll play here", there should be a clear pathway for both Amateur clubs and players to progress in the game. Amateur clubs through a proper regionalised structure under either the SAFA or SFA should be able to gain promotion to the junior leagues in a pyramid system and junior clubs should be able to gain promotion to senior leagues in a pyramid system without losing status (obviously rules still apply like licencing etc and it's more complicated than a simple promotion). The juniors are allegedly joining the senior pyramid next season - why can't regionalised amateur leagues be the lowest tier of Scottish football? I'm not saying all clubs should be entitled to the same benefits however it would allow clubs to aspire to go to the next level without losing identify or status. Amateur players should also have more opportunity to move between clubs and levels. If players see that there is a pathway for them to some day play senior football (who says it won't happen?) by playing with their local amateur team then maybe more players who drop out from club academies or youth teams will be more interested (isn't that the main driver behind players wanting to play in an academy?)
  7. From what I understand the main argument for colt sides is so that the young players have a more competitive league to develop in - surely the best solution would be for these young players to be loaned out to the likes of lowland league clubs, junior clubs etc rather than effectively creating a second first team and branding it colt?
  8. Finally got FM 2019 and want to add the full pyramid or at least the lowland and highland league as playable. Is there a quick way to do this out the workshop? Is there any that adds the juniors into the pyramid system?
  9. What's date and time of kick off? Seems like this would have been a decent TV game next season with BBC Scotland channel rather than Alba. Might give it a watch
  10. No however all Round 3 games are on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/user/ScottishCupOfficial They upload highlights from all games in all rounds. Also some really cool videos.
  11. Probably answered already although hopefully now that a decent bit of money is being invested into the SPFL and the Cups we'll see better marketing from all of the media and the clubs using the extra cash to properly invest in both the squad and off the pitch investments too like decent pitches and maybe my club offering a proper morton tv.
  12. I agree, as long as we comfortably finish at least 6th and were properly competing for play offs I'll be happy this season. However, should JJ still be in charge, the minimum we should be accepting is play offs if the ambition truly is to have Morton in the premiership within three seasons or else we have regressed.
  13. Really hope it's not just old firm away games shown on TV, I think the title race (if we can have a few more in the years to come) should force Sky to show other games although the harsh reality is most only want to see those games.
  14. We can dream of them hiring the now old BT staff and completely revamping how they broadcast and market our game although I doubt it. As much as I am disappointed that Sky have won the rights, money talks and frankly BT couldn't have rated us that highly or genuinely have no money left. Something must be happening with BT Sports due to the amount of rights now lost outwith football - UFC etc. The best part of this entire deal is the more live championship games, I think that could be great for us going forward whether that will mean more free championship games or if we could see (from 2025) even more money pumped into the league with BT/Sky/Premier/Some live streaming service paying more money for these games too. Is there an updated chart showing how our new deal now compares to other leagues around Europe?
  15. Some clubs can't afford grass pitches, majority can't afford GLT - VAR isn't top of the list in my opinion right now.
  16. If The Rangers die again, will they be allowed to re-join League 2 (again) or now that we have a pyramid be forced into either East of Scotland/South of Scotland leagues and work up from there into the Lowland etc?
  17. https://gmfc.net/2018/09/06/jonatan-johansson-appointed-morton-manager/ Jonatan Johansson appointed as manager -- Greenock Morton Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Jonatan Johansson as our new first-team manager on a two-year contract. The former Rangers, Charlton Athletic, Norwich City, Hibernian, and St Johnstone striker takes charge with immediate effect. A Finnish international who won over 100 caps for his country, Johansson began his coaching career at Cappielow as co-development squad manager with David Hopkin in 2012. From here, the 43-year-old moved to Motherwell and took charge of their Under-20s before spells as an assistant manager with both the Finland national team and, most recently, Rangers. Through our previous working relationship with Skelmorlie-based Johansson, we saw potential as a first-team manager and identified him as our primary target to fill the role. Jonatan is a real student of the game and, as well as impressing with his knowledge and ideas during discussions, his aims and ambitions were in line with our own. This was vital. The board of directors recognise that we have a fantastic changing room comprised of a talented group of players and we wanted to ensure that there was a synergy between them and the new manager. We firmly believe that Jonatan’s structured mindset, hunger to succeed, and personable manner will be an ideal fit with our current squad and are thrilled to welcome him to the club. Chairman Crawford Rae said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce Jonatan Johansson as the new manager of Greenock Morton Football Club. “Jonatan has a fantastic CV, both playing and coaching, and has been eager for an opportunity to get into management. We are thrilled about our appointment and we look forward to sharing this new chapter together. “JJ has a fantastic work ethic, a great football brain, and I cannot wait to see him in action as we rekindle Greenock Morton’s long-standing Nordic association of over 50 years.”
  18. Playing league again.. forgot my account and had to create a new one. Does anyone still play this on EU West and want to play? I also have a mission/achievement I need to do on PvB if you don't want to do PvP.
  19. Surely if we concentrate on improving domestic football (including a higher quality player coming into the country) by getting a better TV deal and marketing our product better the quality of Scottish player will improve and in turn our international game will also improve. If all clubs had more money and got some decent talent in the door, the Scottish players around them would also improve (take Celtic for example) and even if the decent Scottish talent left the country, they'd be going to play for better clubs rather than falling into the Championship or below and being stuck in a black hole.
