  1. First competitive game of the season yesterday 21/11/20 which ended: MAUD 1 - 0 CRUDEN BAY This kicked off the season with the Grill League Cup which has a revised regional format this season due to covid19. Only goal of the game being scored by Austin Mclennan (younger brother of Aberdeen FC Connor Mclennan) Hopefully the first of many.
  2. New season, new players, new facebook page and a new website. Will be posting regular updates here on how Maud JFC get on across the coming season. Due to the sad and sudden passing of a long serving committee member, the club has had to start a new website and facebook page due to access/admin issues. www.maudjfc.com
  3. Without being biased as a family member but about time the stenny manager gives young Erskine a chance between the sticks.😕 🤔 *ok maybe a little biased*🤏
  4. Hello all, I am looking into the possibility of becoming a representative for my cousin who is a player to represent him in signing for a club. From what I can see there is no fee for a parent, sibling or spouse. Has any one any experience of doing this in Scotland that could give some advice on costs/ process etc? In 1 place I have read it mentions an initial cost of £500 for registration. Any advice would be welcome. cheers in advance.

  6. It's not been the best of starts to the season for Maud Juniors. With 1 win and 8 losses from 9 league games, there's plenty work to be done to start climbing the table.

  8. Here's the latest table for the North Region Superleague A disappointing start for Maud so far however last season we went into Jan 2nd bottom and finished 6th. There's still time and a lot of football still to be played where we can turn things around.
  9. Keep up to date with Maud Junior Football Club during the 2019/20 season in the North region Superleague.
  10. Thanks very much, Me + the Mrs have 4 nights in Ubud and the rest near Double 6 beach for 6 nights. Think we are breakfast only for the hotels in Bali, how was it price wise for food? My thinking was about £750 GBP for spending, would that be enough to eat + drink to a decent standard or would you recommend taking more? I am keen to try the street food and local dishes etc.. maybe a nice fancy meal 2 of the nights.
  11. Thanks very much, had seen a couple bits online saying it's better to change money over there. Have been told about Raffles before... I'm far too tight for that crap! Zoo and night safari sounds good though. Cheers.
  12. Hello all, Just looking around for some travel advice on Singapore + Bali. Heading there at the end of next month and wondering if there's any tips on what to do with regards to currency and things to do? Thanks in advance.

  15. Hermes 1 - 2 Maud North Superleague 14/05/19 A victory in our last league game of the season in a tough away game to Hermes. The 2-1 result means Maud JFC finish the league season in 6th position! Given we were bottom/2nd bottom at christmas, this is a great turnaround from the new management team and all the players involved.
  16. Maud 2 - 1 Hall Russell Utd North Superleague 4th May 2019 MAUD Fyffe, Walker, Thornton, Crisp, Mair, Norris, Lawson, Ritchie, R Thomson, Chicken, Smart Subs, Robertson, Andrews, Lendrum(T), Melville(T) Maud collected all 3 points in a hard fought match in atrocious conditions, Game kicked off with snow and rain coming down with Maud immediately putting Hall Russel under pressure from a through ball by Ritchie onto Smart who failed to capitilise. Again Maud pushed forward and only a good save by the keeper denied Smart getting on the score sheet. Finally in the 18th minute Hall Russell came alive and pushed towards goal and were denied by a superb save by Fyffe in goals to concede a corner which was well defended and cleared. A few minutes later Hall Russells keeper pulled off another great save to deny a thundering in shot from Lawson from centre edge of the 18 yard box. Only a couple of minutes later Maud took the lead when a corner was crossed in and not dealt with by the defence allowing Smart to finish off. Play flowed from end to end until a mistake by Maud in the 32nd allowed Hall Russell to capitilise on and bring the score back to level. In the dying minutes of the first half Maud took the lead again by a deflected in goal only for the assistant ref to chalk off as being offside. 1-1 HT For the first ten minutes of the second half Maud were under pressure as Hall Russell strove to take the lead forcing Fyffe in goals to pull off a few good saves to keep the score level. Pushing forward Maud were awarded a free kick about 22 yards out but was sent flying over the bar by Norris. As play continued from end to end Norris finally got justice when in the 68th minute a powerful shot from him was palmed by the keeper but went in under the crossbar to give Maud the lead again. Maud pressed forwards gaining in confidence but mazy runs by Mair and Chicken didnt deliver the end result. Hall Russell were not lying down and came back at Maud but good defending and goal keeping kept Maud in front. Again in the dying minutes another jinxy run by chicken ended with a good save by the keeper. A hard fought game resulting in another 3 points for Maud pushing them up the league table by another position, final game bringing Mauds season to an end is against Hermes away on tuesday 14th May with a 7.15pm KO At least 8th position is now guaranteed for Maud JFC. A win will see us finish in 6th and a draw 7th.
  17. Unfortunately I have only managed along to one match so far and it wasn't many. The specific game I was at was probably around the 30 mark however I would believe the Aberdeen City based teams would be close to 100 + Due to work etc I haven't managed to get along to as many games as I would like.
  18. Maud 1 - 1 East End FC North Superleague 27th April 2019 A 1-1 draw with East End United along with other results in the league have resulted in Maud Juniors Football Club securing top league status and another season in the North Region McBookie.com Superleague after the summer. After a disappointing start to the season the team have managed to pick up wins at the business end of the season to climb the table. Maud next fixture is on Saturday 04 May @ home v Hall Russell Utd in the McBookie.com Superleague with a 2pm ko. Our final game of the season on 14 May takes us on our travels to take on Hermes in the McBookie.com Superleague with a 7:15pm ko.
  19. Maud 5 - 2 Nairn St Ninian North Superleague 13th April 2019 Maud: Fyfe, Whyte, Crisp, Thornton, Clark, R Thomson, G Thomson, Conway, Ritchie, Mackie, Chicken, Subs: Lawson, Walker, Robertson Maud welcomed Nairn St Nairn in another vital league match played in a glorious sunny afternoon. Nairn started well earning 2 corners in quick succession, but the Maud back line stood firm. Nairn looked like they were about to score until a fantastic piece of defending by Thornton. On 18 mins the away pressure finally told when the Nairn striker MacLeod fired home via a deflection past Fyfe. Maud came into the game more now and were soon on level terms when a ball from Chicken into the path of Conway whose right foot curling shot into the top corner of the net leaving the away keeper helpless. A Conway header was met by Crisp who couldn't keeper his header on target. 35 mins and a Conway corner curled straight in to the top corner of the net. A clearance by Crisp was player long out on the right which Conway ran onto and past the defender and smashing the ball in for his hatrick. HT 3–1 Clark tried a shot from distance but was straight at the visiting keeper. Fyfe did well to punch clear a cross while under pressure. A corner was swung across and after it was half cleared it fell to Mason who had a simple tap in to reduce the lead to one. Maud replied with a fourth goal after a good through ball by Ritchie to Conway who made no mistake with his finish. Conway set up R Thomson who dragged his shot wide. Great work again by Chicken on the wing but the re were no takers in the middle when his cross fizzed along the 6-yard box. Maud made 3 substitutions in quick succession with Walker, Lawson and Robertson on for Thomson, Mackie and Chicken. Just on the 90th minute Robertson scored a fifth goal when he put in at the back post from a Walker cross. This was a fine performance from Maud which was helped by the excellent 4 goals from Zack Conway alongside young Tyler chicken. Maud next fixture is on Saturday 27 April home v East End in the McBookie.com Superleague with a 2pm ko.
  20. Maud JFC have started up a LinkedIn page to increase our marketing and advertising sources and would appreciate any support by ways of a follow or share. www.linkedin.com/company/maud-jfc
  21. Looking over the pitch at full time your not wrong, plenty of divots. Was hoping we could have nicked a point or 3 but wasn't to be unfortunately. Fingers crossed can pick up a few more results and climb the table with our games in hand. Good luck to yourselves as well.
  22. RESULT Maud 0 - 1 Montrose Roselea North Superleague 9th March 2019 Maud: Fyfe, Whyte, Crisp, G Thomson, Mair, Walker, Ritchie, R Thomson, Chicken, Smart, Walker Subs: Norris, Fraser, Kennedy, Mackie, Thornton Maud welcomed Montrose Roselea in a league match and it was played in a very strong wind which didn't help things. First chance fell to Maud when Smart could only shoot straight at McLeod in the away goals. Maud then had a couple of scares when a scramble in the box was eventually cleared then a Rae shot from palmed away by Fyfe. McLeod pulled off a fine stop when a Chicken corner was headed goalwards by Crisp. Maud's next attack saw a Chicken drive going narrowly past the post after some good work by R Thomson HT 0–0 The second half started, and the visitors went ahead when a break down the right by Thomson and his cross was met at the back post by Grieg who lashed home the opening goal. Grieg then missed a good chance to double the away side lead but fired wide from a ball from Rae. The play went from end to end with neither side creating any chances. The home side were soon down to 10 men after Conway was sent off. Maud made changes towards the end but failed to create any further openings for the home side. This was a disappointing result for the home side after winning their last 2 league games. This was always a game where the first goal would win all 3 points. Maud next fixture is on Saturday 16 March away v Dyce Juniors in the McBookie.com Superleague with a 2pm ko.
  23. Maud 2 - 1 Hermes North Superleague 2nd March 2019 Maud: Fyfe, Whyte, Mair, G Thomson, Walker, Ritchie, R Thomson, Cooper, Chicken, Smart, Mackie Subs: Andrews GK, Robertson, Norris, Fraser, Kennedy Maud had Hermes as opponents in a league match with Maud fielding a make shift defence and were soon pinned back by Hermes who had a strong wind behind them. Fyfe did well to punch clear a free kick from Smith. Fyfe then made a good block when McRae was played through on the right. The away side earned a host of corners which were well defended by the Maud defence. A break upfield and Chicken combined with Smart who sent in a dangerous cross which hit Brown and ended up in his own net to give the hosts the lead against the run of play. A Ritchie shot from distance flew high over the bar. Fyfe saved comfortably from a Lee Smith free kick. Just on half time Fyfe made a superb save from a McCrae shot which looked goal bound. HT 1–0 The second half started with the visitors on the attack and after a goal mouth scramble Fyfe gathered. Dawson should have done better when his turn and shot went high over the Bar from 6 yards. A first time shot by Mackie was easily held by Sweeny. Smart wasted a good chance when he received the ball on the right and he rounded the out-rushing Sweeney but his shot was a poor effort and Brown got back to clear of the line. The Maud striker soon made amends when a long ball by Fyfe was ran onto by Smart who cut into the Hermes box and was fouled resulting penalty. The striker got up to send the keeper the wrong way to double the home side lead. From a corner Browns header was deflected wide. Fraser and Kennedy then replaced Smart and. Mackie. Chicken made a long run forward and his cut back fell to Kennedy whose shot was deflected wide. In the last minute the visitors pulled a goal back when a shot from Stevenson was deflected past Fyfe. This was a very gritty performance by Maud and a welcome three points. Maud next fixture is on Saturday 9 March Home v Montrose Roselea in the McBookie.com Superleague with a 2pm ko.
  24. RESULT Ellon 0 - 3 Maud McBookie North Superleague Saturday 16th February After 4 weeks without a game it was great to get back playing and even better to get an away win. Ryan Smart scored 2 (one a rocket apparantly!!) and Greg Mackie the other and hopefully this will give the lads some confidence for the upcoming games.
