  1. This is true for next weekend, and also for the rest of the season as a whole.
  2. A fair point. To be honest, I don’t think the issue with yesterdays interview was anything about throwing players under the bus. My problem with it was the implication he was giving that he regrets taking the job now, which is taking the piss out of us all as supporters.
  3. He’s talking about not doing the basics right, which I take as insinuating the players aren’t adept. The damage was done after Dundee, though.
  4. The incident happened well outside the stadium. The vast majority of kids at games are extremely well behaved as well. Don’t think that’s a rule that should be imposed, personally.
  5. I always get a laugh at Higgins’ twitter after another car-crash Adams interview. Always the first one waiting in the wings to stick the boot in; and quite right too.
  6. Our current and previous managers consume the top spots with relative ease.
  7. Well I can’t imagine the players are too chuffed at constantly being called out for their ability. Call them out for lack of effort. Fair enough. However if you constantly berate their quality it’s only going to go one one way for you. Also, in Murray’s interview he suggests that not every player is giving 100%. I don’t think every player is behind the manager when you’re not leaving everything on the pitch. ETA: I agree that he can’t be held fully accountable. I believe the players still have a job to do and should be giving their all to their profession. However, I can understand why they may not.
  8. What an absolutely bizarre stance to take on a large group of ganging up on a pair of oblivious looking boys.
  9. He’s come in with an unwarranted arrogance, alienating what looks like the majority of the changing room. He clearly also doesn’t have a Plan B as he “didn’t do enough homework on the job”. Say what you want about MM (I was his greatest critic) but one thing he never did was throw his players under the bus. His interviews were usually a word salad as he regurgitated the same shite weekly and his time was eventually up, but you could tell the players respected him. The same players have zero respect for their current manager and I can completely understand why. Once a manager loses the dressing room, be it a week in or 1 million weeks in, you’re pissing into the wind. I feel as if our club are currently pissing into the wind. Thats just my personal take on the matter. I respect everything Adams has done for the club but I think he’s regressed since we last saw him up here.
  10. I’ve never really been one to get too worked up about football. I don’t live my life by my football team, and whilst my mood is affected by the performance of County and Scotland, it doesn’t bother me long enough for me to really care too much. However, with the amount of my own pocket I invest as a paying punter, I’ve had enough. The club is so far from what it was when I was a kid. Many folk up here, myself included, often complain at the number of kids these days that are Old Firm fans and don’t support their local team. I’ve seen first hand over the last few weeks why kids these days wouldn’t want to support County. Firstly, they’re manhandled by bully security guards for having a bit of craic. Also, there is literally no community involvement to connect these kids to the club anymore. They do token gesture football sessions a couple times a year to pretend they care and throw around free tickets like they’re going out of fashion. I liked Derek Adams in his first two spells here. I thought he really cared about the club, looked like a firm but fair operator and I don’t think he has turned into a bad manager overnight. However, his own egotistical mind will not allow him to be wrong forcing him into this rabbit hole that he keeps digging himself into. If my boss at work consistently told me how bad at my job I was (to be fair, she does but not to the extent of DA), I wouldn’t want anything to do with the person. It’s no surprise therefore to see players coasting through games as they have no motivation to play for him. He is taking the piss out of you and I as fans, and if you can stand by him after his comments then I’m sorry but I think you have your head in the clouds. This may sound slightly uneducated, but this is how I see it from an outsiders perspective. I look at Thistle coming up today. A bigger club than us, yes. Yet, there is still a sense of engagement and togetherness around their club. Players that want to fight for the badge, a manager that has head screwed on and fans that will back both to the hilt. They’ve seen it far harder than us in the past 5 years. Despite it, they’ve turned it all around by listening to their fans concerns and their club are on the up because of it. I envy them. Compare it to us. Completely out of touch with the local community. Fans concerns fall on deaf ears. What’s the point sharing your concerns with our hierarchy as nobody will listen; for they know best. Sorry for the rant type post and fair play if you’re still reading this garbage. I’ve personally got to the point now where I’m completely disillusioned from the club and starting to think whether to just call it a day completely
  11. By the way if anybody seriously thinks this guy will be gone any time soon, think again. There is no way Roy will admit to getting it wrong for his own ego’s sake.
  12. Do you reckon he’ll drop Laidlaw? I wouldn’t be surprised and I think it’ll happen eventually; just not sure he’ll do it so quickly.
  13. What on earth are you talking about? Both clubs have managed to convince numerous quality players to move North since turning full time, achieving far more than the vast majority of “historical” clubs within the pyramid in the mean time. As for the Highland Derby, there is obviously a local hatred between the two but it’s hardly ever been known for its ferocity; players swapping sides or not.
  14. Nice to see the Facebook mob having an absolutely normal one about this. I’ve seen “saved our season” banded about 3 times already; I genuinely wonder what these people watch as it’s not the same games as me.
  15. Does Delboy realise his best mate Butcher is no longer at the club? Samuel is a workhorse but he couldn’t kick a steady arse. Enjoy!
  16. The pitch has been cleared of snow and ploughs are being used to clear the car park and paths around the stadium. Assuming we avoid terrential rain overnight, I think the club are pretty confident this one will be on.
  17. I thought he reeked of Alex Robertson when I saw his general profile. Probably a talented footballer, but will maybe struggle with the physical intensity of the Scottish game? Suppose we will have to wait and see.
  18. It’s hard to say until we see the new signings play; if they’re of a better standard then I’m not going to complain. However, given Adams has talked SUCH a big game about it all and the work the club has put in over the last few years to give a bit of stability to the playing squad with longer contracts, it’s a bit disappointing to see another summer overhaul completely inevitable.
