  1. At present I think the only one that should be kept is Dailly. The gaffers post match interview confirming Darren Whyte has a hamstring tear, so need him. The rest can head back and I’d be happy for Hussain to leave too. Doesn’t look up to it
  2. Totally agree, everyone with pass marks. Matty looked better with Armour and winger to play too. Could have been well out of sight
  3. I’m hopeful that given the update of thanks on the website had no mention of the boards support for Irvine, that the boot maybe coming.
  4. Was having a look and if the board look at stats like this they may keep the faith in Irvine. Appreciate there are obvious factors that affect the stats, like what league we were in etc.
  5. He’s only played once this season for Edinburgh city or whatever they are called now! Think the kelty game is a free hit for Irvine but another home loss on Saturday surely has to be it. 7 wins in 31 (potentially) is too much to bare for a team hoping to challenge, no matter who you are, the good will within or the usual lack of action from board!
  6. Surely one thing we should be better at is defending. Bollan, Weir, Malcolm and now Irvine, all defenders! Maybe we shouldn’t be surprised the footy isn’t always positive but should be better at the other end and surely they can identify good defenders! 7 wins since Boxing Day should be a worry for any club but I’d suggest it’s better having a good option to bring in before you make a change. Who’s out there that could have a positive attacking influence on the team?
  7. Brilliant, found that interesting and had a wee play with it too. I'd prefer them to play this formation, as it allows Slater to drop deep and get on the ball however allows Hutton to protect if he drives forwards but enough in front of him to look for with his great passing. When Whyte is back, the high wide forwards allows his good passing to be used rather than just punted up the middle to a single striker. Just a thought
  8. That’s him, def worth another run out. Also thought Moore looked up for it last night, not saying he’s the saviour but he worked hard and showed some great bits of skill. I’d agree him and slater haven’t really clicked but definitely a better option than Hutton or harkins.
  9. As much as no 8 out a few good balls in, he is similar to what we have and still a lack of creativity. Can’t see where that’s coming from, especially with slater dropping deep to get the ball
  10. Had a look too, suppose could be one of these depending on how strict they are being!
  11. Had a wee look on the pfa site, mark hill listed; thought there was a player in there but not sure part time training/lockdown helped him!
  12. So he is! Can’t see many of the other permanent signings staying. Slater bound to be snapped up, hoped to keep him if we went up. Most of the guys on the bench today won’t want to stick around, especially the lesser spotted Archie Thomas
  13. Totally agree, Sam has looked decent and has a good range of passing. Two leagues might be a jump though. I don’t think brindley did badly at left back it’s just he should never have been there, especially after Luke started improving. Moore looked good on and off and warnock did well in recent weeks. Big issue at this level relying on loan signings!
  14. Not quite sure how slater missed out!! Best player I’ve seen in the league this season!
  15. What had poor Archie done? I’d have him before either. To be fair I’d rather see a youngster try and make some mistakes than watch a 37 year old coach strut about doing hee-haw
  16. Spot on assessment! Can’t see the point in harkins playing!
  17. Not sure about Strachan and wonder who the centre backs will be when all fit? Like Munro’s authority and how vocal he is but possibly the worst of the lot. Loved being back in the ground today!! Mon the loons
  18. I agree, I’m sure many assistants think about giving it a go as managers. The organisation is a huge thing at this level. The contacts he will have can only help us get players in, more ‘fit’ mark hill from Celtic than guys from lowland league. Appreciate it’s not a given either way though.
