    Fine with Vale. Young guy with a point to prove , no obvious injury red flags , hasn't already been passed about half of our rivals . Let's be honest it's only really going to be someone like that or someone who is known but with major red flags . No real record to prove his credentials but that means no proof he's a haddie , amarite ?!

    I always thought a "don't walk under the wings" warning was so that dozy passengers don't wander into the blast of boiling air coming out the back of the big noisy things that hang off the wings.

    That was my take as well , just assuming that the stand will be available to access from the wee Dublin end. This will be my kids' first experience of uncovered terracing so it's bound to be absolutely battering it down.

    Aye my thoughts exactly . Ideally wouldn't want livi getting any wins so that the instant relegation spot is taken completely out the equation but county getting 3 points is by far the worst case scenario there .

    Wish I had all this sh*te to go thru to earn a decent salary. Gets a bit boring grinding out 35 hour 4 day weeks without any of these challenges to negotiate .

    I'm absolutely no expert in physical training and don't want to suggest that we've ploughed loads of money into professionals who are looking at the big picture but missing small details, but does anyone know if at the start of our training sessions the players ,you know, warm up ? Even doing some stretches while Ketts gives them the brief overview of his goals for that days session should give them a good hour/hour and a half to get their muscles in condition .

    If we survive the drop this season then I think we just have to accept that we're doomed to spend the rest of eternity in the top flight. I mean what can be thrown at us next year ,plague of locusts; outbreak of leprosy?!

    I'm actually feeling kinda optimistic with the way the windows gone so far . Really seriously need a good quality forward now and I'd be happy. As much as he's a good big lad a team with Bair as the 1 up front has the cutting edge of a marshmallow.

    Opposite gripe for me . If we have a loaf that's slightly too big for the toaster I put up with having slightly squashed ends but all done in one toasting . She insists on putting it in so that a third of it sticks out the top then turning it upside down to toast the other end which always results in the middle being completely burnt to a crisp. Every. Single . Time.

    I was thinking that when I heard the announcement. Certainly made plenty of noise throughout the game. Tho yer man with the drum needs to take a wee drum key and tune it a bit , the skin sounded slacker than a Mugabi pass. Hope yous had a good wee day out looks like a tidy wee team there , all the best for the rest of the season.

    Fair point tbf. My retort specifically aimed at that guy ( and pals) as was in my ear the whole game with atrocious patter. " Bair's a coo , look is he a Bair or a coo , groundsman won't need to cut the grass coz that coos been eating it all game ...." Etc all game . Booed Halliday coming on ( I know he's a divisive figure but FFS u don't boo your own players coming on ). Just stfu and actually support your team.

    Not the greatest display ever but we are comfortably through to the next round in what must have been many folks picks as the standout cup shock fixture. Very pleased with the look of Montgomery. Loving this version of Gent , do all the attacking stuff without worrying about all that defending stuff. Great to see Miller back , the boy just oozes class. We desperately need someone who can actually be described as a striker. To the person sitting behind me who was telling Spittal to get away from the ball at the free kick coz he never scored his penalty, get it roon ye.

    How 'unfit' is he though. Part of me thinks the statement about him returning from Scotland unfit and sent to train with the kids is sour grapes on their part that things haven't worked out as they would have liked. Unfit by Dutch standards is probably still peak spfl fitness and if he could ragdoll defences with literally one arm tied behind his back I'm sure he'd be able to give us a lift after a few sleepless nights and some missed training sessions.

    Folk getting multiple drinks out of a self service coffee machine. Amplified if they then wait till they have all drinks poured then stand about in front of the machine footering about with sugar and putting all the lids on instead of doing all that stuff to the side to let everyone behind them get on with their day. On a par with the person in front of you at a cash machine deciding that they're doing a full accounts audit.
