  1. Personally I'm not a Miller fan - he's kind of a plonker. And his age and his dressing room disruptions are working against him big time, not to mention his possible wage demands. I will be the first to admit though that right now we are basically praying that Mendy will find some kind of form and that the Finnish Wolf is the real deal because if not we're screwed. We may be left with an attacking strategy that has Elton and Madianga shooting on sight of goal as them twa lads can unleash rockets. I think ultimately McCann is going to sign another FA we've never heard of or a loan striker from England. And none of what I've said above addresses the comedy goals that we give away at the other end. I realize that I'm increasingly in the minority in that I like our manager, his confidence and passion for the club, but I have to admit that he is making some decisions that are alarming and leaves us Dees scratching our heads. How the team responds this weekend after the Ayr debacle will be very telling I think.
  2. And he met his partner up front for the game - one Tunisian mule (that of course scored because it's not proper top flight oppo). The Austrian probably was confused enough understanding our UK born players nevermind having to figure out why a mule was kitted out for a game. On another note: Did we miss a trick with Tony Watt training with Boyle and McPake and oor young lads for a few days whilst an FA only to apparently show no interest and then have that fat grass Wright sign him up a few weeks later? I know Watt has baggage, but holy f*ck how could he not be an improvement on Moussa and Mendy. I will say that the jury is still out on Mendy, and I'm hoping like hell that our Finnish Wolf finds his feet.
  3. I love Dundee as much as anyone Mack, but I've got to say that may be a bridge too far. As far as Rab goes maybe he should be brought back into the fold as a sort of clubhouse enforcer. Players step out of line, players phone it in, players don't listen to and complete the simplest of instructions then ......... they have to deal with Big Rab. Then oor wee man McCann can become the good cop and Rab the bad cop to keep everyone in line. Only half kidding about my Douglas suggestion.
  4. I was pretty pissed off when we loaned out Haber as he's better than our Tunisian mule in about every department except maybe fashion sense I suppose. I for one dinnae care about Haber's ripped jeans and his barnet, but one thing that is becoming an ever growing problem with him is he spends way more time on the trainers table than the pitch. Tell you what, we'll give you a fully fit and raring to go Tunisian lad that oor very own Neil McCann told us 'would get us out of our seats' all season, and you could give us back Haber when he can play again. Deal? I'll do the player swap personally.
  5. Kamara was in a walking boot for two weeks - it wasn't a secret that he was legitimately hurt. It was in all the papers and such. What is a big secret however is the Caulker situation? Nothing but rampant speculation going on with that one.
  6. It probably doesn't help that the interviewers aren't paying attention to what he is saying, and also that they are saying things that are factually incorrect. The woman interviewing asks him if he's met his teammates about 2 minutes after he told them that he had a training session with the team earlier in the day. Then she says will he be in the team facing Queen of the South, Wtf? Then the guy interviewer is talking about the 'Betfred' Cup, how is the Finnish Wolf supposed to know what a Betfred is? I dinnae even ken!
  7. It looks like a loan with a permanent transfer planned once all the parties are settled and happy. Cue NM stapling him to the bench like he did with Scott Allan (injury aside) and/or giving him 10 minute run outs as a sub thusly angering the player, the loaner club and having the whole thing scuttled by January with the player begging to leave. But seriously, and even with the knowledge that youtube highlights for players are just that 'highlights' you can see that this lad has something going on with him. This guys youtube clips blow that Jones poser fae last week right out of the water. Some top drawer finishes that the moose certainly isn't capable of, it's not his fault that he isn't good at football, it's oor fault for signing him. and continuing to play him. Have to say lads this one looks promising!
  8. We need a certified veterinarian to ok such a decision because we are talking about a donkey. According to SPFL rules because the donkey is contracted to one of its member clubs only the manager can make that very tough decision. Unfortunately it seems more likely that a contract extension is more likely than a termination given NM's love for said carthorse. I say all of this with a heavy heart, sorry.
  9. Well you're right probably because that is common in football when a new manager comes in they want to clear out all remnants of the last manager(and sometimes they wield an axe when they only need a pair of scissors to do that) and put their stamp on the team with their own signings, but at some point don't you just have to see what's straight in front of your eyes whether he's your signing or not- Moussa is killing this team, my eyeballs, and my liver. Make it stop McCann, please...
  10. Or mine as another season of watching Moussa will take me from almost teetotal to practically drunk before kickoff to mainlining smack with my stalker guy Hearts fan 'Seeping' in some Embra drug hole. NM's blindspot for that stumbling, bumbling moose is going to ruin a potentially very good team. This is what's insanely frustrating is that the gaffer seems to have connections and has found some gems - Sir Elton, Karl, Kamara, Caulker, if Ralph keeps improving he could be fine too, and there are others who look good and/or are showing improvement. I can't believe I'm about to ask a question I asked fairly early on last year, how long is NM going to persist with this Tunisian carthorse??? And why does McCann love the guy so much???
  11. Seems as though I have a new fan in this fella 'Steaming' from Embra. As you'll by my full text I've got bigger concerns than JackHam. I've already stated it's the moose that will send me over the edge if I have to watch another season of his garbage. Can I count on you when I need to get my hands on the smack after another few weeks of watching the Tunisian carthorse? I mean being from Edinburgh and all plus I just the feeling you know where to get the good stuff. I could score a double against Accies by the way. And so could you probably. Moussa not so much.
  12. What would you have had us do? Get a court injunction forcing McCann NOT to play him?
  13. Of course all those statements are drivel. McCann and Dundee were saying all the same shite about Hendry for 3 months after that piano key toothed Rodgers started turning Hendry's head up right until the last couple of days before he left, maybe even the last day in January.
  14. Ayr would immediately back out of the deal if we tried to saddle them with the moose.
  15. I honestly cannae believe that I have to watch another season of that bumbling, stumbling, fumbling clown that is the Moose. Why is McCann doing this to me/us?? Why spend money on a keeper (it wasn't 100k, but there was a fee, nominal as it was) when it wasn't a position of urgency?? As soon as I found out we paid money for JackHam you knew Parish was f*cked, and Parish was better in the pre-season and league cup as well, but up until the blunder I didn't think JackHam was doing to badly, but my word, what a howler. Now NM is in a dilemma because if he benches Jack then he crushes his confidence as he will have to sit with that disaster, but if he doesn't bench him after that then he has effectively killed off Parish as he will know that his Dee career is effectively over unless JackHam gets hurt. I said somewhere up this thread that if Cammy was going to be forced into playing LB that it wouldn't be fair to him or the team or the supporters and that I would probably openly weep. Well the only part of what I said that isn't true is that I did not openly weep, and that's only because I was 6 tins in before kickoff and feeling quite festive surrounded by fellow Dees (and I'm not a drinker btw, but Moussa and NM have left me in this position). Btw what does this all say about Ralph that he was fit enough to make the bench, but that a right footed guy who is awkward as f*ck at LB plays ahead of him??? The real question is if lager will be enough going forward or if I should just graduate straight to smack? Moussa you seem like a nice guy, but GET OUT OF MY TEAM! If Ralph isn't good enough then find someone who is, and we have to sign at least one striker, hopefully two this week. If they have to be loans then so be it, the English window closes this week so lets hope that NM is on that phone knowing that most of the teams down south should be looking to offload a few players before the deadline.
  16. Devil's Advocate here, tbf to Haber have we ever actually seen him take a penalty? I'm willing to give you that one anyways, so we're in agreement here that if we could get two or more penalties a game then we should be fine with Moussa leading the line.
  17. I hope not, I can however get you a great a deal on a big Tunisian that answers to the name 'moose'. He's shown tremendous prowess against league 2 opposition, and I believe with a full solid season at Falkirk he may be able to sort of maybe in some roundabout way be a good addition to your squad. What time would you like him dropped off? We'll just keep the fashion fanny up here with us. This may actually be a safety issue as I believe big Marcus may be in danger if he tries to walk around the mean streets of Falkirk dressed in his particular style.
  18. No such luck Derry Steps as I've never had the honour of donning the Darkblue of Dundee. I'm just a humble Scotsman that spent ten years of his youth in Canada (collecting dual citizenship in the process) although I must say that has absolutely NOT influenced my feelings on this matter. I just happen to be a Dundonian that has Dee blood going back to my Great Great Gramps whom attended his first game sometime in the first decade of the 20th century, and my dear old Gramps who only recently departed for the High Stand in the last few years who attended his first game in 1931. We're a lucky family in that we have been relatively untainted by Arab or Old Firm black sheep infiltrating our ranks. I'm simply a regular lad, but I have been blessed with the power of sight that enables me to see what is happening when I watch Dundee play, and my eagle eyes have told me that Sofien Moussa is a bumbling, stumbling, twa left footed, injury prone lump that tries really hard. Marcus Haber is a posing clown off the pitch that doesn't run around like a chicken with his head cut off whilst on the pitch, but he is however better at football in every aspect than that of the moose. Unless we're playing Cowden or Stirling then we can roll out Sofien. We can even pretend that Haber doesn't even exist and when we do that it doesn't make Moussa any better. All I can say is what I've already said and that is that I hope NM has something up his sleeve because if we're to rely on playing with a big lump up front and that big lump is named Moussa we're screwed. Mendy better get used to trying to make something out of nothing, and if that doesn't work we're going to have a plan where Elton and Madianga (whom for the record I think have great potential) are just going to have to have to shoot on sight of goal. That will literally be the plan if NM doesn't get 2 more strikers in here like pronto. And while we're at it if we roll up to Paisley for our league opener with Cammy trying to play LB I may weep openly as it's not fair to him or us. So get another LB in here Sir Neil!
  19. Moussa seems to have won everyone over because he seems like a nice guy whereas Haber seems like a poser that dresses like a clown. Neither of those two things affect me in the slightest so I don't care about those issues. Frankly I'd rather ship Moussa to Falkirk and keep Haber as he's a better player in almost every way. Moussa was atrocious against the Blue Toon yesterday, laughably bad, and Mendy looked bewildered in the first half trying to figure out where Moussa was going or what he was doing, and that first touch he's got, lol. Mendy looked a lot better when Wighton came on in place of Moussa. They both have injury issues, but what's with Moussa's shot by a sniper, stretchered off routine, and back in business 3 days later like nothing happened? Yes Haber had back surgery a few months ago, but Moussa is no ironman. All I can hope is that Sir Neil has something big lined up in the way of frontmen because if we have to rely on Moussa as a focal point this season we're going to back where we were last season or worse if Caulker and Kamara go. If NM loves Moussa as much as he seems too and is the first name on the team sheet every week I fear for us. If Moussa does play every week I hope something 'clicks' that I just can't see and becomes a real handful for opponents that aren't in League 2. I just don't see it. Prove me wrong Moose, prove me wrong.
  20. For what it's worth the Mirren fans seem unimpressed on social media with the three trialists they rolled out there today vs a Sunderland side that we swatted aside. 'Horrific', 'utterly chronic', and 'one of the worst players' etc., type comments being thrown around here, there, and everywhere about the 3 trialists that played for them today. So having said that I hope Stubbsy quickly signs them up! But seriously as a Dundee fan I'm always worried about at least a half dozen things to do with the club at any given time, but Adil Nabi isn't one of them. I know that I'm swimming upstream on what I'm about to say here, and it kind of appears as though there is no way back for our fashion favourite Haber in McCann's eyes, but I don't think it would be the worst thing in the world if he could work his way back into the side somehow. If we're determined to play a big lump upfront like NM seems to want to do Moussa has a) shown no sustained ability to replicate his League 2 opposition showings against Prem sides, b) Moussa will also not be able to play a full season without going down a couple of times. Haber despite seeming like an utter poser off the pitch has proven he can play at this level and if he regains his form when he first arrived he can play in a pair of ripped breeks and a backwards hat for all I care. Moussa seems to be a more down to earth friendly guy than El Habes, but I don't care about any of that if he starts stumbling and bumbling about the pitch when we are playing teams where we may only get a handful of good chances in a match. Missing sitters against Stirling is fine when you know you'll get about ten more chances to score against them. Anyways I back McCann and if he wants to shift Haber then fine, but I hope that if it doesn't happen he doesn't simply get frozen out as big old Marcus is the only straight replacement we have for the Moose whether thru injury or just for subbie purposes. Anyways my tin hat is on if required.
  21. I'll leave you to enjoy Jake Mulraney a bench player for ICT and Steven MacLean a striker that will require a walking stick to get around the pitch by the time this coming season rolls around. Now off ya pop chum!
