  1. I figuratively slapped my forehead when he said that after the Livi game. Couldnae believe what I was hearing. McIntyre is not short on headscratching decisions and statements.
  2. No, nobody thought that, somebody got the wrong end of the stick in this thread. We were all aware that Nelson was injured. I'd say that based on Miller scoring 7 goals from 13 or 14 starts (most of those starts in a diabolically bad team) also proves that he knows where the net is when lining up at the centre circle to start a game as well. Him scoring two 'offside' goals last night with his head were still proof that he has tremendous quality around the goal (despite delivering the worst penalty of his life the other week). I am in no way suggesting that Miller should replace Nelson, but when the Admiral is injured then Kenny should be the OBVIOUS choice for the straight swap. It's just another decision by JM that makes me question whether he is the best long term plan for manager. Having said that it's pretty obvious that a long term plan really isn't what is needed right now, it's simply getting to tenth, and then re-assessing in the summer. And no matter what happens this season we can cross that bridge when we come to it!
  3. Yes I was aware hence why he was not playing(I guess I didn't spell that out). My point was that with an unfit to play Nelson watching from the stands that it was madness to not simply play Kenny Miller in his place.
  4. I agree, but the County fans say he will not be dropped under any circumstances so I'm going to have to be content with maybe just getting him taking less and less freekicks. After the game last week JM said and I'm paraphrasing here ' I let them figure that out on the pitch' when asked if maybe Scott Wright should be taking more of the set pieces I just about blew my stack, wtf?? I bet you half our team including the goalies could deliver a better freekick than Woods. Then this week when Kenny Miller started on the bench with Nelson watching from the stands, again wtf? And no my questioning of McIntyre's decisions do not mean that I'm endorsing McCann. One can agree that NM deserved to be sacked, and that JM makes some real headscratchers in the decision dept. I'm not sold on JM, but just get us to tenth and I'll be happy at this point.
  5. Unfortunately the General just seems to be getting worse as time goes by. It would seem as though JM has no choice but to turn to O'Dea at this point, and then hope Davies is actually good whenever he is fit to play.
  6. I cannae seem to find that thread Bairnardo, but nevertheless I remember reading an ah-dee post a few days ago. Seemed a nice guy, RIP ah-dee. All the best to his family and friends during this terrible time.
  7. There was blame to go around mate, and I should've made that clear in post. But you and I must be watching something different on video, Hadenius #28 clearly vacates the spot for MacKinnon to move into in order to move to move towards our goal mouth when there was no need to do so. Sure I'll agree with you he jogs back instead of races back, but the result is the same he needed to be holding his ground where he was and turning his head round looking for trailers, and that he didn't do. I agree with DigOutYourSoul on his view of Hadenius' part to play in that goal. I also agree that other people contributed to the goal, but that with a little composure Hadenius could've cut that scoring opp out. Whatever the case it was a real kick in the plums.
  8. Yup Hadenius lost his composure. When Andreu got the ball out wide Hadenius simply raced back towards the goal mouth area which we already had well defended with Dieng and 3 other players. Not only did he vacate the space necessary for Mackinnon to walk into Hadenius never even looked back until the pass was made at which time he turned around to see the thug shooting the ball from the place that he had just vacated. Situational awareness lacking, but only his first game so let us hope it doesn't become a trend. Anyways just another garbage goal to concede in a season of shite.
  9. This is my fear as we have better players on the bench watching JM's ex-County guys play. IMHO
  10. Yup, but I fear the County connection lads won't be dropped unless injured.
  11. Abso-feckin-lutely! Utter madness to not have at least one of our two most natural goal scorers on the pitch instead of watching games from the dugout. It'd be as mad as a manager stating publicly numerous times starting in early to mid December (the busiest month on the calender) that he was going to basically bin all of his team in January, and then expecting to get great results from those same players. Oh wait JM did that too. For the record I believe that we do have better players than Scamilton and St Mirren, and that we will finish 10th, but I am thoroughly lukewarm to McIntyre.
  12. Sorry to hear about the circumstances Crawford, and I feel the same way. We got my Gramps a brick as a surprise and he enjoyed that greatly, but sadly he went off to the high stand just a few year ago at the age of 85. He attended his first game as a 5 year old in the 30's, and witnessed the ultimate highs and the depths of disaster following the Dee. Even though my family on all sides are Dees he was the main force for instilling it in me, and it would be a real kick in the plums if they didn't try to have those as part of a new stadium design or even worse just brought out the sledgehammers. And before anyone says that'll never happen -Dundee (the city) has a pretty notorious reputation for just destroying old landmarks willy nilly for various reasons - £££'s - without a second thought to historic value. I'll stop there as to not go on a major rant about that!
  13. After reading about Inniss' background I think it's fair to say that if Caulker, Gowser, and this lad ever go out on the town together somebody will wind up in the cells.
  14. Unfortunately his final ball both in shooting and crossing last season were abysmal so far for us so he has simply flattered to deceive. Hoping that when he returns from injury he will come good, but as of now he is simply another one of the frustrating players in our team.
  15. Kenny better no fall out with those fellas or one of them will knock out his pearly white gnashers if he asks that question. Speaking of Miller, is he signing or not? If not I await our double swoop for an Austrian striker from Rapid Vienna's reserves and another French midfielder of African descent with an unpronounceable name that we don't need.
  16. Aye, but the tanman Derek Lyle laughs at King Kenny's lame attempts at tanning and teeth whitening. If Miller joins up he'll still be nowhere near challenging for tannest Scotsman ever to appear in a Dee side. Lyle must have a sunbed in his hoose and a dental hygienist on retainer (no pun intended).
  17. Rod, have you seen our strikeforce?? If Mendy ever gets up to speed it'll take him a full season, and thats a big IF? I never want to see Moussa on our bench again let alone the pitch he's that much of a joke. Wighton seems to be nothing more than a ghost at this particular time. Henvey and Scott seem to have something about them, but NM obviously feels they need another season of reserve or potentially loan time (re: still in talks to send Scott to Brechin). Kallman has something about him though and I think we're going to be pleasantly surprised with him (and Miller could help in his development), and one more thing - if the ball comes to Miller with a couple of minutes left in the St Johnstone game in the middle of the box instead of Moussa at the weekend we leave there with a draw.
  18. Well you lot seem oblivious to a lot things these days. Like signing players that can actually play. Kenny may or may not be the answer, but I definitely know that the answer isnt Mendy and a Tunisian mule nicknamed the Moose. At least Kenny's registration papers should be straightforward.
  19. Let's no prematurely age the man Ludo! He's only 38. Rumoured to be 250k for Wighton. Taxi for Wighton please. I love the guy for the 'goal' and he is a Dee through and through, but really haven't seen much out of him since he came back from injury.
  20. Well personally I'm not that keen on 38 year old football players for this level, however he's kept himself in good condition which is obviously part genetics/part hard work. I admired his determination and commitment when playing for Scotland, hated him with a passion when we played against him, but that's partly to do with my hatred of the Old Firm. Having said all of that if we can have him play a good positional game (right between the posts in the box) without having him run aboot like a daftie then he does know where the net is. Perhaps he'll be a good teacher for Kallman, Mendy, Wighton, Henvey, and Scott to learn from. I hope Miller sees himself as a potential mentor to our younger strikeforce. Also if this move means that I'll be seeing a lot less of that clumsy oaf Moussa this season then I'm all for it!
  21. *you're is the word you want there you illiterate pinhead!
  22. I'm with you my friend. Imagine doing volunteer work twa nights a week for a club that is owned by a family that is worth north of 200m US $s. No wonder the rich take the rest of us for mugs. You get what you pay for. Anyways on to Perth: Parish* Kerr Caulker Meekings Ralph Kamara Curran Madianga Elton Kallman Mendy I'd rather NM try a 352, but I don't think he will so here's with a hope that Parish makes his return. *It'll probably still be JackHam. Hopefully Kamara can break up play nicely defensively, and our forward thinking midfielders can generate some action at the other end. Let's just hope Kallman and Mendy are ready to come flying oot the traps or we're going to need Elton or Madianga to score a zinger if we're to have a chance.
