A lot of people forget coaches like Sheerin will have access to the likes of Wyscout so he’ll have been able to “look” at all the squad before he has arrived and then came to his own conclusions. To think that any manager/coach goes in blind when taking a new job and relying on the current staff for reports etc is plain silly, he’ll 100% know what he has and who he wants/don’t wants.

Dunfermline signed one of the Airdrie players (can’t remember who) and part of the deal was he went back on loan till end of season, with the layoff that didn’t happen, so I assume Turner is purely to compensate Airdrie.

I suspect championship clubs would want a “level playing field” in terms of season ending at same time, player fitness and suspensions. Although not ideal a split looks the best of both worlds, at least champ clubs had the option to sign players in the window, l1 £ l2 clubs were hardly going to do so as they couldn’t immediately furlough them.

As the Scottish has no sponsor this year imo so no financial penalties will be invoked unlike last season if it wasn’t played to an end. It would have been interesting if we had a sponsor for the leagues if any ramifications fir this season, but as Barry Hearn said if you can’t find a league sponsor then the guy that couldn’t find one should be shown the door, but it’s clear Doncaster is only there as a shield for any bullets aimed at the spfl board, those in charge are more than happy for him to take the flak.

With Morrison probably blocking the linesman’s view of the guy in the 6 yarder you “could” see why given as he’s past the full back, but even with the yellow line it’s still marginal and with that var check where his hand made him offside in the palace game a few weeks past, you could argue Morrison’s body is ahead of play. Bloody tight though for me.

That’s why in us sports they call the co comms the colour, he’s there to add something different, the commentator describes the action, the “colour” man adds to the detail. It’s effectively a straight man/funny man comedy duo.

It’ll probably have been the club pays the rent but takes it off at source from his pay, which some clubs do, and for the player all his “bills” are paid so the money he has is his. I don’t see the issue in it personally, I know at one stage the club were looking for landlords to house players.

If Rankine is involved then god help us, he’s been involved in more clubs than Jack Nicklaus and none of them successfully imo. At least Rawlins has history of leaving clubs in a better way than he started.

I’m sure the football trust paid for a few of those stands £2m a club in the then premier league springs to mind.....and the likes of Motherwell trying to subsidise more cost with an old firm debenture scheme if memory serves me right....

A little.....the only great game he had was against Scotland....apart from that v poor if honest.
