Started last week by the wee Talbot Fuds unfortunately.

For me Darvel controlled the game till the Talbot goal and then hung on for the rest of the game, for the village it’s a great achievement, I’m home telling my two boys about the last Junior Cup Final we were in and how proud their grandpa would be about getting to the final, great to see some old Darvel players there tonight that I’ve not seen for twenty plus years, thats what this cup means to traditional Junior teams.

The non sharing of gate money has been going on since my dad was the treasurer of the club back in the early 80’s, it used to be very prevalent especially when the the smaller Ayrshire teams travelled to Glasgow in the Scottish or the West, you basically got what you got and if you didn’t like it tough.

Is that because if you win the league you could potentially go into the Lowland League? From a Darvel perspective if you had to ask me I’d go with the cup as well.

Including neutrals probably,be interesting to see what tickets Talbot get/ ask for.

I would agree with you that the style of play this year has been an easier watch with the ball getting into forward areas quicker, Micks philosophy is great but at times the ball is passed to death, don’t get me wrong it’s great to watch when there is an end product but I’ve been used to “ Junior “ football and it’s all about getting the ball forward. Talbot are the masters at it.

That’s up to the club to encourage folk to go, it’s not up to fellow supporters to discourage, I don’t go to any away games and I’m probably only at half the home games, can I come to the talbot games?

So you don’t want the people from the village to go and watch the team? Are you for real?

The second leg doon the brae will be a sell-out if the first leg is close, Friday night fitba is great although it will be hard to beat the atmosphere I remember as an 11. And 12 year old at Love Street and Brockville in the 80’s midweek.

I thought Rhubarb was a died in the wool Darvel fan from many years ago the way he goes on but he’s miles out on committee members, you are correct in saying we came on board when JG asked us, the old guard that kept the club afloat were the old boys in Neil McPhersons era. I do think he has some knowledge of what’s going on and he must have a bit of knowledge about our level of football but as I said it’s doubtful he’s a Darvel fan of 20-30 years, he’s been asked questions about teams gone bye and he’s yet to answer. For what it’s worth we have no idea who the guy is and he won’t tell us, I know you think that will be rubbish but It’s not.

When was the last time you were at an agm?

I take it you are not a season ticket holder as I believe if you were you could have went to the agm and asked such questions.

Because he has no filter and doesn’t think to engage his brain before opening his gub.

I believe it was season ticket holders which tbh I think that is a fair way to do it, i heard not all were sent notification of the agm though, whether that is true or not I don’t know.

I believe as of last night there is an outstanding bill still to be paid to Bonnyton, it is still within the agreed timescale of payment though, it was mentioned at the Bonnyton Agm last night.

I wasn’t asked to leave, I left when it became apparent it was Mr Galls way or no way, don’t know why he’s bringing those things back up now as I’ve been barred from the clubs social media for over two years for asking questions, I’m thinking it’s to try and deflect the shitshow that’s happening now.
