  1. The problem here is that this hasn’t been decided by the governing bodies, this has been voted for by the clubs. Why would Cove, Thistle, Airdrie etc just agree to that and give up on the chance to win the league and lose 2 playoff places
  2. Probably because playing more games suits everyone that’s not top of the league or second bottom
  3. If you read the statement they have indicated 27 games is not an option. Also the 20 clubs would need to agree. How many do you think would back an 18 game season? 2 or 3 . 22 games is obviously the compromise reached
  4. They can’t be. I thought we were giving him our job that isn’t available. I also though Holt was going to run off to Killie. What we gona do now?
  5. Maybe people think he’ll be a good DoF due to the fact he was very highly regarded in his role with the Norwich academy which is a big part of his role with us. Hes “done nothing since leaving us” except work in the English Championship, take Livi to 9th and 5th in the Premier League and get shortlisted for manager of the year. Meanwhile we...never mind, we all know what we’ve done. Is it “all about opinions” or should we use the facts that are available to us which suggest he doesn’t deserve to be written off before he’s even done a days work. He may well be shit, he might also do ok but to write him off at this stage seems bizarre to me.
  6. He’s never been a DoF before and hasn’t been in the job long enough to actually do anything yet so I’m intrigued to hear what is it you don’t rate? Have you decided he’s not a good DoF based on your opinion of him as a manager? Or do you just not like him so have decided he’s no good at the job based on that? Either way is a bit strange for me.
  7. Why would you drive him there? Why are you so upset by him?
  8. I’m all for your cynicism on this topic but come on to f**k. We have no league for these guys to play in
  9. We're pretty far down to be looking at a manager on the way up. Would put us in the position of taking a risk on someone like Derek Ure or Ricky Waddell. Derek Ure??? This must be a wind up
  10. First of all I’m not convinced M&M are the answer. However the only benefit of the doubt I’m prepared to give them is that they’ve gone through the first third of the season without our main goal threat. Where would we have been at this point last year if you took McManus out the team? Aidan Keena was signed to be this years McManus. Morrison aside, the rest of the recruitment hasn’t been good enough which leaves us in a position where (in my opinion) our whole season (and M&M’s future) now relies on him. If he scores the goals we’ll probably be ok, if he doesn’t we won’t. That’s not a position I’m comfortable with and the next few weeks are huge for us and our management team.
  11. That was as bad a performance as any of the shit served up under McKinnon. Every week Lee Miller talks about “the game plan”. What is this game plan, long aimless punts up the middle? How long can we persevere with the bash brothers up front? Absolutely no football ability between them. Every sub is like for like. Leitch (the most right footed left winger ever) for Todd (the invisible man). Miller for Dowds/Sammon. Telfer for Alston. Miller for Gomis...if it’s not working we maybe need to try something different. Morrisons goals early in the season and Thistles terrible start have papered over the cracks. Teams are now stopping Morrison which stops us, our football is awful, results aren’t good enough... I know I’ve certainly been pinning my hopes on Keena but if he doesn’t hit the ground running we can forget it. The pressure is now on
  12. Agree. It wouldn’t surprise me if Pressley was a candidate and I actually think he might get the gig. Tbh, not sure how I’d feel about it but I’d be willing to give it a chance. He did have relative success in the transfer market and we had more academy players playing during his term than any other (admittedly a lot of it was forced upon him but still). Could the role suit him
  13. Apologies for all the questions but I would also like a bit of clarification on the fan investment part. Could I approach the club and buy say £200 worth of shares or are they looking for people to buy larger amounts? Do you need to be in “the fans group” he referenced? If so any info on who is running the group? Thanks.
  14. I love Sammy McGivern as much as the next guy, I’m more than happy with his biased commentary and he’s a huge upgrade on big Joe. But can we please stop pretending he is Mr Falkirk? The guy hardly knows who any of the players are More importantly get it right up Paul Hartley. Delighted for big Lee tonight
  15. I don’t disagree but the problem just now is that Keena isn’t fit, neither is Alston and Miller & Gomis as a midfield pairing lack creativity. As I said, with a fit Alston playing centrally and Keena up front I think we are a better side but when are we gona see that?
  16. Yesterday’s team vs the team that started our 2nd fixture last year (6-0 at home to Dumbarton). 10 changes in personnel, are we any better . What I would say is that having Connolly playing wide, a fit Alston playing through the middle and Keena upfront certainly improves us massively. My concern is that we could be a third of the way through the season before that happens.
  17. Right, I get all this “it’s a good to win when not playing well” etc etc but surely you are more likely to win if you play well. My question is when did we last actually play well? How many times in the last 3 seasons have we been good to watch? Theres only so many times you can win playing shite. We’ve been shite for 3 years and look where we are. After all the positivity during the week a sense or reality has set in...we need to improve.
  18. I seem to recall the same sort of anticipation after the racism accusations but they always seem to get a pretty easy time of it. Can those involved tonight try and get some answers about what the f**k is going on with Alan Gow and please make this a very uncomfortable evening for those that are holding our club back. Give them hell.
  19. Bantabairn telling everyone with a different opinion to his to go and support another club Gaz makes some great points here and you’ve jumped past them all to the last sentence. If we continue to overlook all the f**k-ups, the f**k-ups will continue to happen...
  20. I’ve no idea. I’m trying to piece this together. I am amazed that we might be about to f**k this up...again
  21. So did we employ him knowing he had his own agenda or did he worm his way in to enhance his takeover bid? Something doesn’t seem right. Why has there been nothing but silence about his role/plans/intentions?
