I think it's lazy to just put this down to finances. I thought Hibs looked beaten from the off and the defending of Cross balls was atrocious. You would never have thought that was their biggest game of the season!

Nonsense. Are you suggesting sevcos new signing is on treble raskins wage because he cost 3 times as much? Or Cal Roberts was on 3x as much as Ramadini? Age is a factor, the place they are coming from and most importantly their own demands. The former clubs valuation has nothing to do with it.

Why would they pay someone perhaps 10 or 5 times what they were on previous? Nobody wanted him. The fee was ridiculous but that's what United demanded. A player's wages and fee are not interlinked to such a degree you can say it's 1k wages per 100k value. I mean by your logic a player with 6 months left on his contract should get a lower wage than if he was transferred with 2 years left ?
