  1. Cheers m8
In life you take folk as you meet them and you lads were sound when I first met you and I'm looking for to coming back down just before Xmas to see yourself ,DL and the pie man get the latest chat and a bit of banter before going in the away end and cheering my team on while DL is going bonkers on the other side ( well I hope is anyway cos we are winning lol ).

Nobody from Darvel knew who GOTW was until last season and since meeting Chris face to face I think I can speak on behalf of the Darvel support by not havin a bad word to say against him, he’s the same as we are, passionate about his team.
  2. Haha never went anywhere clown shoe
Our page has sadly died a death , a bit like your patter image wanting a team relegated cos you dislike one of there fans [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

Considering my role last season being involved in candy merch and the social media aspect Andy was indeed my Gaffer so don't know why your getting your frillies in a twist

Darvel are doing great work and hopefully will be two divisions away from you by the time May comes.
Btw I noticed you went missing for a wee while when the “gaffer “ called you out for spouting your pish.  What’s your pet name for the new boss ?

  4. I don't know the ins and outs but by all accounts Gartcairn are trying to get a new stand built and they are a fairly new club so give them time and hopefully they get something decent.

Was at Renfrew on Saturday and that's easily the best stadium I have been to for that type of sports centre set up it was excellent

These clubs should not be allowed in the league look at us and how we run things

  5. Going by the league form we are relegation candidates but the last two cup games have shown they are a better side than there league form suggests tho they need to bring that level of performance and consistency to the table.

Would be nice to see you at JMP with Talbot as you have always been very complimentary of the club [emoji106]

Lets hope the scottish cup result gives the lads some belief that they can begin to pick up league points in the next few weeks.Do the Candy supporters feel they have enough, not to be drawn into a relegation fight, and acheive a mid table finish, or were some expectiing a promotion challenge this year.Going to Renfrew and winning was a fine effort and suggests that on their day St Rochs are a match for most teams in the Championship.Best wishes from Beechwood, and i hope i'll get my visit to JMP in this years cup ties.

  6. That's for me part of the problem people keep telling me they are good players and the managers can't get the best out them .

I actually just think they are not very good and if I'm wrong then it's there attitude and desire that's lacking so either way whoever comes in will need to look at replacing most of the squad there as not even Tommy Sloan could turn this squad around

As for the manager well I think any appointment always has the eminent of a gamble regardless of who comes in so I would have no issue with a young ambitious guy coming in and giving us a fresh outlook and approach rather than going down the road of guys who have failed and been sacked elsewhere as if they are not good enough for xyz why should we accept them bring good enough for the Candy .

Anyway what will be will be and I'm sure the guys behind the scenes have there own idea of how they wish to take the club forward .

  7. I agree with that Tam is coming to the end of his playing career but has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the junior game so if went for the job and got it then I would not be disappointed

Okay, I never knew that..but consider a fresh approach then. Look at the experience in your squad. Tam Hanlon for one.
  8. Chic also attends a lot of candy home games so he knows the club and the players it's a clever appointment to bridge the gap till we get the right manager in

Chic in charge for Saturday then maybe interim manager till club appointment
  9. Yes but at what stage do the players take responsibility for there own performances ?

    OFFICIAL CLUB STATEMENT

Just wanted to give everybody an update on the current situation at the club, both Stevie and Gary have left and I would like to thank them for all their efforts and hard work over the last few years.
For Saturday’s game against Renfrew Chic Charnley will be in the dugout. We will be then looking to appoint an interim manager while we go through the application process, nobody has been offered the job and I will be looking for people to apply.
We are working tirelessly to get the right people in position, but I’m prepared to take my time to make the correct decision.

    Stevie Mullen
