  1. Serious question. From the current squad, who would you keep for next season?
  2. Could do worse than appointing Dean Shanks, ex Gala Fairydean Rovers as your next Manager.
  3. He's did well to be fair. Similar to Sean McKirdy in how he plays. Cracking free kick v Gretna.
  4. Agree on both counts, Lennon should have had a shout before big Eck.
  5. Ha, you were the goalie coach. Good times indeed. Hope you're well.
  6. I've watched Sean playing since he was about 10 when he was at Hutchy and my son Tommy was at Tynie. Excellent player with an excellent attitude. Ironically the best game I've saw him play for Gala was his last game against East Stirlingshire where he was the best player on the park. All the best Sean, except when you play the Dean of course.
  7. Good game yesterday, with a share of the spoils deserved for both teams. Shire having more clear cut chances but playing a Gala side that included 17 year old Charlie Green making his first start. Having a strong bench being the difference, with Shire able to make vital substitutions but Gala only having Kieran Ainslie and 16 year old Declan Bell on the Bench, with neither featuring. As I said, good game played in the right spirit.
  8. My Dad was the barman at the Rugby Club in the early 80s and you could go in on a Tuesday night after training and there could be about 5 or 6 internationals in the Bar. Changed days now though. I was at Shire's first game in the LL as my boy was at the Vale at the time, a 2-2 draw with the Vale missing a late Penalty. I remember thinking at the time that it was good for the League having a team the size of ES in it. The League is of a high standard which is improving all the time.
  9. Pretty accurate description of your Club, the only thing you missed out was homeless/ tenants/ ground sharing. Regarding the Rugby, it certainly isn't what it was down here, at least the kids get football at school now.
  10. Egg chasers!!!! Really? 90% of the team are from Edinburgh. Your comment makes me happier that we pumped twice in a fortnight.
  11. Was at both games, Gala were like night and day. The first week they were excellent, the following week they were very poor.
  12. Should be a cracker on Saturday, Gala starting to show a bit of form. Don't expect it to be as easy as the last league encounter.
  13. Think that just about all the teams in the league are capable of beating each other, albeit that the bottom teams would have to be playing out of their skins and the top teams have an off day. My team, Gala, will definitely take some points from the top 6. Great league as you say B.R.A.
  14. Ricky Miller has been Gala's best signing. Was no surprise to me that Gretna beat Gala 2-0 when Ricky was injured.
