  1. Remember him being decent enough at Ayr but been very good a couple of times I’ve seen him this year. Can imagine Dundee getting a good chunk for him if they’ve got him on a decent contract.
  2. Always happy to hear alternative opinions and can confirm I would not have gone on a rant! For me, the diving is only really a small part of the frustration but I think it summarises the issue that I have in that he would rather go to ground than get a decent cross in or beat a man and have a shot. The point that Kevchenko made that when he is poor he's really poor is a good one, and is part of my thinking in that if you had a Sutherland or a Buchanan there instead they would at least offer some pace on the break even if it's not coming off for them individually. He was really good last year and I think we all expected him to push on which may have been halted due to a lack of games or a lack of confidence, but he's just not someone I look at on the team sheet who I would rely on to grab a goal, which I think Sutherland (particularly last few weeks) does. I for one hope he scores every week from now until the end of the season and will be happy to eat humble pie on the way to the championship
  3. Have to say my patience with Quinn Coulson is starting to wear thin. The constant diving, cutting back and back again and again, and the lack of end product mean we just look so much weaker on the left side for me when he’s starting. He isn’t even overly quick to help to stretch teams either. Think our best option is still Sutherland on the wing and O’Donnell at left back, hope Andy plays that next week at Cove in what is the definition of the 6 pointer cliche.
  4. Probably should’ve dropped your goalie after all eh lads!
  5. Think the greatest praise I can give Andy is that at times under our previous few managers the games had felt like a chore, whereas now it’s Sunday morning and I’m already looking forward to the next game. Even if we aren’t winning we are playing much better football and the players are clearly enjoying themselves as well. Long may it continue.
  6. Got mine on 10 despite it taking almost an hour with a different F+F being greyed out every time we tried for some reason, thank god it finally let us all have one and there was enough left!
  7. 850 tickets left, my optimism of getting tickets on 10 points is dwindling.
  8. Has it been announced when the tickets for the Netherlands friendly will go on sale? On 10 points and not sure I’ll get one.
  9. I find Taylor Steven to be a bit frustrating, clearly has ability but the constant cutting onto his left and wayward shooting starts to frustrate pretty quickly. If Buchanan is fit for the weekend I’d go with him on the right, Cawley off the left, Scougall in the middle behind Roy.
  10. Absolute disaster to put it nicely. Would imagine Andy will have a few names ready to replace him in the event this would’ve happened.
  11. New ground for me so pretty pleased with that. Not out of the question to get a result either.
  12. Thought we actually started the game well and if we score when Roberts hit the post just before the goal then it could’ve been a different game. Fair play to the Edinburgh boy it was a peach for the first and well taken for the second as much as it was far too easy from our point of view. Second half we huffed and puffed a bit too much and got a bit desperate rather than trying to be patient and wait for an opening. We played a lot more on the deck today and we saw flashes of good play at times, albeit not enough. Roy seemed to really struggle on his own up there and nothing really came off for him, and Steven isn’t really a winger. Think 3-0 was a bit harsh but overall Edinburgh deserved it, they were a lot better than I expected, will be surprised if they finish 10th this season.
  13. No doubt Scored in his last start and has been dropped for the last 3 games since then which tells the story of how bad he was that day. We're a better team if he's not in it but if he scores a hat-trick tomorrow I will happily take my medicine (until next week!).
  14. The constant asks for Rodden to start continue to baffle me, he's rubbish. It's almost as if people don't remember the performance's he put in to be dropped. Hopefully seeing as Andy has been here for a while he will know that Kevin Cawley is still quite clearly one of our best players and will know he should be playing in behind the striker. Playing Roy up front on his own with Steven and Cawley in behind would be my team (assuming Scougall won't make it).
  15. Andy it is. Can't imagine there'll be anyone out there against that, fingers crossed he's going to be as good as we all hope he will be!
  16. A shock but a good move for all parties IMO. He gets to return to full-time football on more money, we get rid of a manager who was pretty average for us and still have plenty time for a new manager to take us up the table. Good luck to him. Now announce Andy so we can start chasing Falkirk
  17. Looked to me like it was a back 5 first half then he changed it to a 4-5-1 second half. We were a bit more solid second half albeit both teams were happy to settle for 3-0. Feel like a broken record with the back 5 but I just don’t think it suits the players we have and we never look comfortable with it. Wish he would give a 4-2-3-1 a chance for a couple of games.
  18. Think that’s me drifted over to getting rid of the manager. We were an utter shambles today and I don’t see any evidence from any of the games we’ve had this season that that is likely to change any time soon. His signings have basically all been failures and don’t suit the way he’s trying to play, we have no width, no creativity and no defensive shape. Think it’s going to be a long slog till Christmas because I don’t think we’ll get rid any time soon.
  19. Utterly embarrassing. Rice’s stubbornness to keep using a back 5 despite us having never played well with it in 2 years will inevitably (and thankfully) cost him his job. I’ve been on the side of giving him time but today was an utter shambles, was 3 going on 7 or 8 in the first half. Falkirk looked like they’d score from every corner and basically every time they went forward and you could count on one hand how many passes we completed in the first half. Kevin Cawley not playing for us when we’re blatantly crying out for someone to link midfield and attack is ridiculous and the defenders he has signed are far too immobile and don’t win enough in the air. Fair play to Falkirk, they’ve got plenty players who are too good for this level and will comfortably win the league this season. Annoying really because it’s been a good laugh having them down here
  20. Strange thing to say seeing as you’re on telling us so every time we lose. Clown. Played pretty well today, we are miles better going forward when we’re keeping the ball on the deck and have to say Roy is making me eat my words, been very good for the first couple of games. Long may it continue. We are still a shambles at the back and I’m still of the opinion that the back 5 formation should be binned. Don’t even think it’s down to the personnel (the majority of the time) as they are so exposed by the fact we have no midfield to cover them. Felt roberts and hetherington were both good today but there’s only so much 2 players can do when they’re up against 4. Feel like a win might start a run as we’re not far away from being a decent side, would definitely be giving Rice another couple of games at the very minimum. Not that I think the board would be considering getting rid anyway.
  21. Don’t get where all the sympathy for Rodden comes from, looks totally out of his depth whenever he starts a game. Was very lucky to be given a new deal and should have been purely for 5 minutes off the bench at the end of games, nothing more. Roy doesn’t inspire but Wales certainly sounds highly rated so fingers crossed he bangs them in. Interestingly, Wales is only on a deal until January so could be a heartbreaker if he does well for us.
  22. Much more like it. Killie fans wanting him to get game time for them based off what I was reading on Twitter the other day so very promising. Plenty time to get our title push back on track!
  23. As if things weren’t bleak enough. Hardly an inspiring signing but let’s hope he does a job.
