Town Crier replied to Bestsinceslicebread's topic in West of Scotland Football League
Shettleston will have an Under20s development team ...dont know whats happened ...the in or outs.....but just been told this -
Looking forward to what will be an interesting league, teams will be getting tipped for winning league but will not buy into that until we see how teams will set up for the season when it happens.....

Town Crier replied to weeto's topic in West of Scotland Football League
Starting watching Pollok with my Grandad from the age of 6/7 for a few years but being from the east end Shettleston always was the team I looked out for...followed Maryhill when they had their success in the late 90s as my cousin played but found myself back at the Town ever since for ma sins.... -

Goalies the best & the worst
Town Crier replied to GNU_Linux's topic in West of Scotland Football League
Seen him a few times in action for Clyde when watching my cousin and was always impressed...a very big presence on the park and a great guy off it...would have loved to have seen him at the Town for longer but work commitments ended a career well short ...could still be playing just now... -
Goalies the best & the worst

hard one this for the Town Stevie Hutchison Bryn Halliwell Gary (Brandy)Keenan Garry Whyte/Current Number 1 Danny McLean not naming a worst as theres been a few.. -
Shettleston 4 Larkhall Thistle 1 1st half the game was over...A blistering start seen the Town 2 up after about 10 mins...going in 4 up at ht Central pairing of Howat and Ndlovu bossing the game from the 1st whistle before being replaced late on...... Defensively sound throughout......and Steffan Graham up top was on fire Larkhall's goal coming from a delightful free kick from Gracie.....
-
Shettleston 1 Kello 0 Kyle Gallagher with the winner after 85 mins, firing in after a great block from the visitors keeper Defensively I thought we were solid ...Game changed in final 20 minutes when we made changes giving us more width and had numerous chances before the winner...
-
Bellshill a much tougher opponent than Larkhall and Wishaw..... The signing of Jordan Logan will give them a major boost for promotion ....guy scores for fun
-
Tomorrows Fixtures Bellshill v Carluke Comfortable home win... Girvan v Perthshire Girvan win to make up ground on their opponents... Lanark v East Kilbride Another comfortable home win...a few goals likely to be scored by Lanark Lesmahagow v Ardrossan Hard to call, two teams I have been impressed with ....The Gow to edge it Royal Albert v Maryhill Away win...1-2 2-3 3-4 4-5 take yer pick Shettleston v Greenock Disappointing showing last weekend from us...Hopefully a few faces return ,Ross Barclay has been a miss due to injury .... Always a tough battle with Greenock, usually decided by a goal either way...1-0 2-1... Wishaw v Larkhall Seen Larkhall the other week but they were depleted and a had a few 21s in squad... Wishaw I haven't seen so hard to call ....score draw
-
Deserved maybe ...but helped by a dubious decision with the penalty..... Both keepers performed today ...the two point blank saves from Halford in the 1st 10 mins were class....the young lad at left back looks like he has a bright future ...for his age he was very composed....the opening goal was a class finish also..
-
I'll change it to a Des O'Conner then....
-
used to be someone on here who had a hard on for harestanes ..
-
Heard the team they put out in the previous game have lodged a complaint that harestanes didnt have corner flags in their game....and have photo proof.....defo made a big arse of themselves....
-
We beat them 1-0 at home...they could have easily won the game
-
I would agree....from the teams we have faced Lesmahagow was the hardest test,Ardrossan we beat easily but seemed to have started to put results together.... Haven't see Port Glasgow or Bellshill yet so cant comment on them...

Very sad to hear of Hugh's passing...condolences to the immediate family and all at Neilston Back in 2014 when Neilston beat us in the play off for promotion I was gutted but had a cheeky smile seeing Hugh sitting with the trophy at the presentation.... also was a big help when I was looking for information on my grandad's time in the juniors.......

VALE OF CLYDE - NEWS FROM FULLARTON PARK, TOLLCROSS
Town Crier replied to coach's topic in Junior Football
could have been reasons behind the selection......but I would have Chissy in my team any day if fit.... His experience at senior and his ability to play anywhere at the back is why........liked him at full back when he was at the Town....was part of a team that could have lit up the junior game....
