  1. I really don’t think you lads have anything to worry about. We’ve not won 2 games in a row all season and are incredibly shite at home. It’s fantasy stuff to suggest we will all of a sudden start now.
  2. He’s really not a very good footballer and it probably shows how desperate we are because I want to see him get a game. Mainly because he is fast and that is something we are desperately missing up front.
  3. It’s very fucking hard to defend the job he’s doing, as much as I’d like to do so.
  4. That midfield worries me quite a lot. Same one that played against United for most of the match but we really struggled to control the game in the middle of the park and I suspect that will happen again today.
  5. I think it’s only fair if Partick roll over and let us take the three points today. I mean they don’t really need them do they?
  6. Stating the obvious but we have to win today and even then I don’t think it will be enough. I fancy the teams above us to win at least 2 of their remaining games which leaves us needing to win at least 3 and I don’t see that happening.
  7. You’re absolutely right, I was stretching trying to be positive to the absolute limit. If he was decent surely Forfar would be wanting him back or a team up at the top of the table in the highland league would be after him. There is a huge, relegation shaped, caveat to this but I’ll back him until around Christmas next year. I think if he has the money to shape his own squad together we would do quite well.
  8. If you want to try and look at it positively then he didn’t have any choice going to the highland league if he’s up here and wants to play football but aye. It’s fucking ridiculous that we were actually wanting to sign him. I’m still in the Big Dunc camp but things like this are incredibly worrying.
  9. Of course they can change the goals/expectations. I'm not sure they will however considering it is a World Cup qualifying campaign, which is much harder to do. I haven't looked into it but I'm sure only teams that top the group qualify for the World Cup and then it is some second placed teams plus teams that do well in the Nations League that get into the playoffs? It's a tough ask to win the group and I doubt that would be the expectation. The goal will, obviously, be to qualify but I'm sure the expectation from the SFA will be to finish second and give it a good go through the playoffs.
  10. I’m all for letting the foreign teams into this competition. Only for a potential weekend away in fairness but ffs Airdrie we can’t be letting them win the bloody thing.
  11. Just watched the highlights and that’s never a foul before Moults goal imo. Whoever it was needs to be stronger.
  12. He’s class isn’t he. The only reason he is in the championship and not the premiership is because of his injuries.
  13. Yeap. Letting both/either of Carson and Welsh go is looking more horrendous with every passing game. Mainly because we only have one fit central midfielder. I didn’t really have an issue with them leaving as long as we replaced them but we didn’t even do that. The recruitment seems to have been all over the place, just bringing guys in no matter where they played rather than focusing on what we actually needed. I have been critical of Pepple but he was good today. Held the ball up well and ran into the channels and caused problems. Not as effective in the second half as he was knackered. Would actually like to see him and Billy start together.
  14. He was well off it today. Could easily have seen red for a tackle, though I think yellow was probably the right call. He was excellent in the middle of the park against Airdrie but today I thought he was very poor. We needed someone to control the game in that area and he just couldn’t do it. Absolutely not his fault as he just isn’t a central midfielder.
  15. I do feel a bit bad criticising him for it to be honest as I’d have taken a point before the game but with Queens Park winning and Ayr having a game in hand it’s looking like a big gap with so few games to play. Not sure it was lucky but the keeper probably should have done better with the cross. It was our only shot on target in the first half I’m sure though. It was just little things in the last 10 mins or so. Ridgers doing the classic gathering a simple shot in his hands and falling on top of it to waste 20 seconds or so, taking our time to get over to the ball for throws and corners etc. We were more than happy to take the point rather than showing urgency to get the win. Ridgers was bloody brilliant today btw made 3 or 4 top saves. I’ll need to see their goal again, no doubt it was a screamer but it maybe should have been a foul in the middle of the park to us and Ridgers could well have been way too far off his line considering it came from our own goal kick. It’s annoying as it’s only the situation we are in that is making it a bad point. The general performance was good and we did have chances. We were well on top of the game right before they scored and that killed any real momentum that we had.
  16. It’s ridiculous that this is the reason that a game that could well decide the title can’t be shown on tv. Get that rule in the bin.
  17. We played well today but we’ve lost ground on 8th and games are quickly running out. If we could play like we do away form at home I would be confident of getting out of trouble but we don’t and having to rely on winning games away is never a recipe for success. Ridiculous that I think a point away to top of the league has confirmed us in 9th but with every other team capable of picking up wins, and some with games in hand, I don’t see us catching any of the teams above us.
  18. I pretty much feel the same. His reaction at the end of the game today was weird. He seemed to be delighted with the point and I think he was expecting a bigger reaction from the fans. Don’t get me wrong, going away to top of the league and getting a point is a good result but they were there for the taking and we didn’t seem to be playing to win the game. It seemed as though we were settling for the point and if a chance happened to come our way to win it then that would be a bonus, as opposed to actually giving it a proper go. We did have chances in the second half and towards the end of the game but nothing that was a clear cut goalscoring opportunity in my opinion. We aren’t getting out of this by drawing games we need to win and it needs to start with Partick next weekend.
  19. This was a great shout by the way. Thank you!
  20. Nah that’s not the one I was meaning. Will give it a look. Ta.
  21. Where is best to park these days? I always used to go in the car park that is opposite the snug but that is obviously gone now. I just parked on the street for the Dundee game last summer. Not sure if it will be safe to do that again.
  22. The only problem with Adams is that he isn’t a goal scorer and he has missed some proper sitters for us. He will chase after every ball, run the channels all day long and is pretty good at holding the ball up. You don’t really get much credit for all that from fans, probably rightly so when you are there to score goals as well, but I think he’s our best striker.
