  1. Any Hyundai Tucson experts here… Had the car for about 10 months, 2019 plate and the past few days the gear stick has started to get stuck when trying to take the car out of reverse gear. Anybody know what could be causing this? ETA I’ve already tried heaters on full blast with all of the windows open.
  2. Mind when 20 goals a season was the sign of a good striker? Mans scored 30 by the start of April and is getting called shite.
  3. That is very true. Both players and the club would have been daft to want permanent deals in January too. The club wouldn’t have been offering 18 month deals to players on the chance we do end up in league 1 and you could imagine players wouldn’t be too keen to potentially commit to a year in League 1 as well. That would leave you offering 6 month deals which is exactly the same as bringing in someone on loan and probably more expensive. Having a squad full of loan players is hardly ideal for team building purposes but the lack of motivation angle is atrocious.
  4. Because he scored his first goal in 3 months against a rank rotten side bottom of the league? Despite a great start a lot of what was said about him has turned out to be true. He works his arse off and is good at holding the ball up. Would he score more goals in a team that actually created chances? He may well do. I don't think he would have been much of an improvement, if any at all, on what you already have. I haven't seen any of your games or highlights but I'd imagine you are in a similar position to us. Don't get me wrong I like him and think he would do a job for any Championship team but the Premiership, I am not so sure.
  5. People obsession with loan players is completely mental. No professional footballer wants a relegation on their cv. These players are here to prove a point to their parent club or another club and it ain’t going to look good for them if they have been relegated. They are exactly the same as permanent players. If a team gets relegated literally any player can say nah I don’t fancy that and bugger off, under contract or not. The problem is that the players that have been brought in are, at most, not any better than the players we already had. We didn’t bring in a proper replacement for Wotherspoon. That’s the reason we are still down at the bottom of the table. The aim when Ferguson took over was to stay up, it always was. People looking at promotion playoffs were off their head. The squad has never been good enough and we would have been 10th with Dodds in charge. Ferguson deserves his fair share of criticism for the recruitment in January and the Tactics/style of play when we play at home and quite rightly should be sacked if we get relegated but if he keeps us up (don’t give a f**k if this is by finishing 8th or through the play offs) then it’s very much job done. Do I have confidence we will stay up? Not really but now isn’t the time to start throwing your toys out of the pram. Get behind the team for the last few games and hope we can get out of this mess.
  6. I feel exactly the same. It’s a great away day but Arbroath always seem to be a complete pain in the arse against us. I think the head to head record over recent years is probably pretty even but I’ll be glad to see the back of you for a while!
  7. It was Delaney. He was marking Duffy at the throw so not sure if it was a bit of banter started by Delaney or if they just hated each other when they were both with us. Either way I’m all for that sort of celebrations.
  8. Well, the aim was to get 6 points out of Arbroath and Queens Park and we have arguably done the difficult part by winning at home. Always feel more confident that we can get a result away from home but can we finally put a couple of wins in a row together? Dont think the performance was a massive improvement on previous weeks, we were just playing a dreadful team. Huge game at Hampden next week. A repeat of the last time we were there would be grand.
  9. Absolutely no surprise to see one of our wing backs have scored.
  10. Thankfully I earn a five figure salary so I will be able to help them out.
  11. Been very wet the last few days but I’d be very surprised if this game was in any danger of being called off.
  12. That sort of stuff really annoys me for exactly the reason you have said. I know it’s not exactly fantasy land stuff to say we could beat Arbroath tomorrow and then Queens Park next weekend leaving you needing 1 win from 3 but there is zero evidence from the previous 31 games to suggest it is even remotely likely.
  13. His reaction at the end of the Dundee Utd game last week was a bit bizarre as well. He was celebrating as if we had won a cup final or something like that. The fans were giving the players a decent enough reception, as it was a point away to top of the league, but there seemed to be an acknowledgment that it really wasn’t enough considering the position we are in and the other results from that weekend. He genuinely seems to think we can draw our way out of this and that isn’t going to happen.
  14. I’m not ITK at all but you can see why the players may lose faith in the manager when he seems desperate to get his own son signed despite the fact he wasn’t good enough for a league 2 team. Doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.
  15. You can buy on board but you’ve had plenty of notice to buy a ticket so don’t complain when you pay more than if you bought in advance.
  16. I really don’t think you lads have anything to worry about. We’ve not won 2 games in a row all season and are incredibly shite at home. It’s fantasy stuff to suggest we will all of a sudden start now.
  17. He’s really not a very good footballer and it probably shows how desperate we are because I want to see him get a game. Mainly because he is fast and that is something we are desperately missing up front.
  18. It’s very fucking hard to defend the job he’s doing, as much as I’d like to do so.
  19. That midfield worries me quite a lot. Same one that played against United for most of the match but we really struggled to control the game in the middle of the park and I suspect that will happen again today.
  20. I think it’s only fair if Partick roll over and let us take the three points today. I mean they don’t really need them do they?
  21. Stating the obvious but we have to win today and even then I don’t think it will be enough. I fancy the teams above us to win at least 2 of their remaining games which leaves us needing to win at least 3 and I don’t see that happening.
  22. You’re absolutely right, I was stretching trying to be positive to the absolute limit. If he was decent surely Forfar would be wanting him back or a team up at the top of the table in the highland league would be after him. There is a huge, relegation shaped, caveat to this but I’ll back him until around Christmas next year. I think if he has the money to shape his own squad together we would do quite well.
