  1. Both Celtic and Rangers have indicated they want to be in the league next season. They will both make this proposal to the lowland league before the end of the season. It will be up to the clubs after this. I thought it was a one off???
  2. Alloa To Beat Bonnyrigg Peterhead to comfortably beat Civil Gala to Beat Annan East Kilbride to Beat Dalbeattie
  3. The B teams should never been allowed into the Lowland League. Have the Colts teams brought anything to the table? Have they even paid their cash to the league yet?
  4. Proper Game of football yesterday and great atmosphere. Error on the stroke of half time certainly took away any momentum Berwick had. EK had the know how to see the game out that’s for sure. Two sides who will only improve moving forward.
  5. Perfectly summed up! Foster challenged him well saying what do you do when playing out from the back, has you 3 down in 10 minutes? The total disregard he had for Lower league football was extremely poor.
  6. Well said! Just a slight indication of when we could go back would be grand.
  7. Im sure the Players, staff, sponsors of the SFA is not included in the fans allocation. Could be wrong but I think a qualifying side is allocated tickets from the main percentage of UEFA tickets.
  8. Seems like Mr Cass has got his captain and he's local so matches his criteria. Plus he's a good player. Hopefulky more signings follow for the borders side. Imo he's had to do something as losing good players, staff and board members like Graeme McIver and Garry Fraser who have been at the club from the start of the clubs inception into the lowland league. Which are all a huge blow ahead of the new season. Mind Ryan Cass is only doing what John Collins tells him.
  9. Not a peep from the club and another good player away. Letting other clubs announce they have signed your players and not thanking them for their services on a successful season is poor. Other clubs are spot on with announcing who has arrived and left their squads. Gala sound like a complete shambles from what it sounds like. If it helps the folk on here the club have signed Bonnar, McBride, Berry from the Vale and Herdman who was on loan at Coldstream has returned. Also two young lads from Kelty 20's have signed who were previously at Tynecastle. Out so far Baxter - Spartans Cunningham - Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale Smith - Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale Paterson - Vale of Leithen Stevebson - Tynecastle Donaldson - Sunday Football Not confirmed but from what's been doing the rounds is Watson - Spartans/Penicuik Miller - Berwick/BSC Main - CSS Scullion - ?
  10. Dress it up whatever way you want the new chairman used whatever he could to get rid of the management team. 3 Board members and key members walked out and rumours are the current number of players who have left off the back of the new chairman currently stand at 8 or 9! The way Gala have conducted themselves over the issue is nothing short of shambolic. The players, board members and coaching staff have all conducted themselves professionally maybe the club should look at doing the same. What makes it worse is supporters will find out via other team's social media platforms first before they do on Gala's that they have moved on.
  11. Hearing we are signing two good forward players. Happy Days!
  12. As you say it's football and it happens. However, what was being discussed at the weekend was at this level the sacrifices made by all are huge and for individuals/ players to be treated the way they have is what is baffling. You speak about the great work that Gala do in the community which I have no doubt about. But for 3 key members of your board to resign who have been there for years says the new chairman is having huge disregard for the clubs process and procedures. The decision is made and you guys have to move on but the utter nonsense that was being talked about and how the chairman has been meeting players for the upcoming season, made the decision weeks ago without any board members knowing, disputing potential new signings due to them having disagreements with the new Chairman and letting good footballers leave the club due to where they are situated. A club like Gala Fairydean Rovers has never acted like this in all the time I've known whether that be EOSL or the Lowland. Folk can voice their opinions but from what everyone who was or is involved is saying on both side of the fence. Is a Chairman who didn't want the job is now signing players, and being a puppet for those above. Yes of course it's never nice for someone to lose their jobs but I can't help that the young lad Hastings who is a good coach is being setup to be a mighty scapecoat if this backfires.
  13. For 8 players to walk, 2 of which looking like they'll be joining my club speaks volumes. Also rumours up here are key board members have resigned shows this is not right. Dress it up whatever way you want but it's painted a great wee club in a shocking light. For a club like Gala to conduct themselves the way they have is a surprise to many. 3 weeks ago the club announced it was their best season they've had in the lowland league. Hope this new Gala philosophy that was being talked about at Bonnyrigg yesterday is a blueprint for us all. Also, a Gala player said this was setup weeks ago supposedly and nobody new a thing about it except the new Chairman. Interesting times but at least it's not my club that is the laughing stock atm.
  14. I've heard 7 boys have told the club they won't be back. Its a shame as a lovely club and had the makings of a real good side. Gala have always been a well run club but this is just madness and so out of character. After they've had a good season and looking to build why? To move on to a higher levels he statement said. This league is only getting harder and you need to earn every point. Surely the current side showed they could compete and now looks a total rebuild. I think they need a reality check or this new chairman does. Could be a long hard season for them now.
  15. No way! Had a good season first season and looked as if they were building a decent side down there. Baffling if true
