Been said already, but that’s an absolute astounding article from Sims. Makes it abundantly clear that the “we got it wrong” stuff was a lie, and that he doesn’t actually give a f**k about Raith Rovers as a community club, it’s his club to do with as he wishes.

I’d suggest that Rovers fans are going to have to start working on a way to get him out of the club. I know it’s not easy, but it’s surely untenable having a man like that in control.

Very doubtful considering the vast majority aren't losing their shit over this! Please do keep up or concentrate on your own club.

It would appear he's much more of a "Kirkcaldy" man than a Rovers man, or even a football one.

He appears to have a genuine interest in the community, and that the football club is just a vehicle for him to provide facilities and a service to that community. In one sense that could be quite laudable, but when he's also spouting off about how hard done by a predatory sex offender is, he can go and f**k himself.

Well don't go back then! You really do sound like an entitled wee p***k.

Aye, cause that’s what every Rovers fans want to do. Hunt about the main stand on the off chance John Sim has turned up. Then when you do find him you can have a stand up argument with a 70 year old man. That’ll show you in a good light.

Why an argument? So basically no numbnuts will just go on a forum to get back up from the usual suspects. The fact Sim was in Kirkcaldy to announce the new shirt sponsorship might have given him the inkling he would be at the game. Absolutely no harm in asking.

It’s good to know that if you don’t actively campaign regarding a particular issue and it doesn’t directly involve the football club you support, you’ve no right to voice an opinion.

    Cheers Frank!

Pity they didn't give an opinion when he played for another club for several years. Thanks for the input though.

It’s sad to call out people who actively make out David Goodwillie to be some kind of victim in all of this? And to openly come out and basically say that the fans that are against the move don’t matter and can go support another team? I’ve no idea how you’ve reached that conclusion to be honest.

It's easy the vast majority of our support think the same thing no one is going to beg them to come back. The truth is the ones moaning on here know that all to well.

There's clearly someone inside the club who's trying to right the ship. Presumably, based on today's news, they're either not consulting Sim or expressly going against his wishes. I'd assume the former, but he can't be involved in stuff like drafting the 'apology' statements (or even the appointment of Susan Simpson?) because he obviously doesn't see the need.

It feels like he must be barely involved with the day-to-day now on things like the Fan Panel, and instead he's just turning up every now and again to run his mouth in the press and expose himself as the regressive, abhorrent, silly auld c**t that he is.

I'm sure Sim was there on Saturday you should have asked to speak to him. Then again why do that when you can come on here to seek attention.

I haven't read his statement yet but it didn't take long for the usual wankers from other clubs like you to stick your nose in other folks business. As for the Rovers contingent on here other than a grovelling apology still wouldn't suffice the vast majority will still support the club.

    Shut your puss, Frank.

You should be getting the bed sheets ready for tomorrow.

It’s a multi club forum mate. If fans of other clubs commenting on your club bothers you then maybe this forum isn’t for you. Also I’m not sure I’m the w****r in this situation. That’s all Sim.

It doesn't particularly bother but does make me laugh when the same sad cases keep popping up time after time. Its a bit sad tbh.

What a vile c**t. Wouldn’t piss on him if he was on fire.

I’m sure wee Frank or Raith slaver will be along at any moment to leap to his defence.

Been reading a lot of the comments about us keeping McGlynn. Why are these people so forgiving now, he and some directors were the architects of the signing of a rapist. The majority of us on this thread wanted shot of the lot of them. Now it seems no one can replace him. Also talk of Marvin Bartley getting his chance, what has he achieved that Christophe Berra hasn’t. Just a question mind?!?!

Football fans are fickle its that simple we will getxa clearer picture as the season comes to an end or when the old guard decides on an opinion and gives anyone dogs abuse for daring to challenge it.

Future signings: "I'd maybe have came to you if you weren't such a fuckin basket case club with a horrible reputation. Why would I want to step into that?"*

We could be in for a rude awakening on who actually wants to come here be that player or manager.

*would all be fine if we done the unthinkable and finished in the top 4 and somehow went up.

Chances are that any future manager or players don't really care about the Goodwillie situation. Overreacting as per usual.

Aye not sure Championship players have crushed velvet couches, shite dogs, mental cars and model girlfriends.

Pretty sure quite a few of them will be sharing a house with at least one other player.

How much do folk think our players get paid?! Remember that the club isn't chucking around Masterton era wages, and that the club has actually posted a profit in most seasons since administration.

Also, it's a daft cliche that players don't care, don't try and don't show passion when they're losing/at the bottom of the league. It might be true in some cases, and perhaps towards the end of the season guys who have a contract up might not be flying in to tackles, but most of the time it's just silly nonsense.

    Fucking knob!

I’m over here, quite happy I’m not a rape apologist, scumbag, gammon.

Quite strange how you’ve come out from under the rock you disappeared under after last Saturdays game.

You don't realise how much of shit hole Somerset is till you see it on TV.
