  1. It was a straight red card for serious foul play so will be an immediate two match suspension. Only reds for two bookings or a professional foul would carry forward to next season's Scottish Cup.
  2. All the work mentioned is on the east side, not seen anything happening on the north side at all. Don't think anything has really changed following the August meeting. A few replies from Leanne Dempster to supporters emails and a couple of mentions of the injured players apart, it's been business as usual from the Glasgow branch of the secret service. Also notice that Darren Lyon seems to have fallen into the vortex of players who vanish without explanation.
  3. Concrete pouring going on today when I went past Lesser, looks like most of the foundations have now been poured, steel for the framework has also appeared in the last few days. A trench is also being dug at the the front of the stand. Perhaps a moat to keep those pesky Clyde fans in check?!!! Noticed that the basket case at Rangers published their accounts up to the end of June last Friday, strange that we've taken ten months and still no sign of ours to the end of 2020. Three weeks notice need to be given for the AGM and the accounts have to be lodged with Companies House by 31st December so the clock is ticking.
  4. Looked like someone got a red card in the tunnel at the end of the game, possibly Willie Muir as he was giving the ref a bit of stick.
  5. Very optimistic, Lesser could not be described as a hotbed of activity anytime I go past. See you at Firhill next season!
  6. Seems a bit crazy that 50,000 can go to Hampden without restrictions and we can have 600+ at Firhill, but a crowd that's barely going to reach three figures is still not allowed at youth games.
  7. And Cowden 3-2 down now with quarter of an hour left. Edited to add: make that 4-2 down now.
  8. I can understand why nothing was said in the preview about Connell and Murray, why advertise to your opponent that two of your most potent goal threats are going to be missing? Agree with the point about Baynham, the veil of secrecy about him, Grant and Quitongo is baffling and infuriating in equal measure.
  9. Steel reinforcement bars now laid for almost the entire length of the east side, next stage is presumably concrete pouring.
  10. We could offer to pay Aberdeen as much as they gave us for Lawrence Shankland and Michael Ruth!
  11. It would be nice if we were told where/when their games were taking place before they happened rather than only finding out afterwards, might encourage a few folk along to support them.
  12. For those who use public transport to get to Firhill, bear in mind that there's no trains on a Sunday just now due to a long running strike. Underground is ok though.
  13. Two - Stranraer at home and Elgin away, both after the league title was wrapped up last season.
  14. Looking at the picture it looks like Laurie regards it as a team effort, and if he considers Graeme to be part of the team who are we to argue.
  15. And Scotland finish with two full backs from the QP youth system. Add in Lawrence Shankland and Barry Douglas and that's four players capped in recent times, shows what a good job was being done with the youth set up in the early. 2010s.
  16. That was one of my concerns, we couldn't seriously play at a 1,000 capacity ground if we were in the Championship next season. Suspect we could end up back Firhill if that was the case.
  17. Surely the marketing guy is there to lift income rather than dealing with communications with supporters? Given the complaints above that Leanne Dempster has failed to respond to any emails from members after specifically saying she would welcome them, it would suggest that nothing has changed in respect of communications with fans/members. The team being top of the league does not excuse piss poor communications.
  18. I thought it was quite a depressing meeting. An hour of waffle and then an hour of avoiding giving straight answers to straight questions.
  19. For all the praise for Brown, I wish we would let someone else take corners, too many of his are not getting past the first defender at the near post. Apart from that, Longridge was great and Thomson looked much more of a threat than he did on Tuesday.
  20. Plant and machinery starting to appear at Lesser over the last couple of days so looks like a restart to the redevelopment is imminent.
  21. Might be pay at the gate as restrictions end on Monday?
  22. If the referee thinks the defender has made a genuine attempt to play the ball but commits a foul then it's yellow and a penalty, if he fouls the attacker with no attempt to play the ball it's red and a penalty.
  23. In 2000 it was right before kick off, with Paul Smith keeping Berwick in their changing room until after the flag hoisting was finished as he was still raging we had beaten them to the title!
