There was a pop up shop in the St Enoch centre at the weekend selling retro football tops. QP's Le Coq Sportif 1999/2000 championship top could have been yours, a snip at 149 quid.

Oh, really? This is what I see under "Ground" on the page for the Hamilton game (for previous games the map shows Ochilview Park).

That arrow is in the car park.
A bit of a slope and floodlights in the middle of the pitch instead of the traditional side, but they will add a bit of jeopardy to cross field passes.
Although we could probably fit more spectators on the grassy bank than inside Lesser.

Perhaps it's the start of Leanne Dempster's way of building crowds - put every other sports club in the southside out of business so people will have nothing else to do on a Saturday?
Joking aside, it's a pretty shameful act.

Is there anyone in the area who's been by the site and can give an update on how it looks, or some photos ideally? The folk living in the tenements overlooking it must have a pretty good idea of how it's going!
It actually looks close to completion to my untrained eye.
The perimeter of the pitch has been tarcmacced, gates installed at the front of the east stand and a main gate to the left of the turnstiles.
Still see workmen at what looks like a refreshment kiosk next to the turnstile area most days. Cladding over the turnstile area looks really cheap and nasty as previously mentioned. Royal Box looks complete externally but no idea what's left to do inside it.

If it’s a volunteer, they can’t be sacked.
I think there are a few former volunteers who would disagree with that statement.

At least part of that end is earmarked for residential development.
Can't believe we are going to sell part of the only side of the ground we have any room to do anything with.
Wonder if this is needed to replace the £800k+ we threw away sacking the original builders?

put smth in place to ensure its not repeated.
Didn't we do that after the Cowdenbeath fiasco?

What do you expect them to say? They should do all their talking at the tribunal then make an announcement once the tribunal has made its decision.
I expect the club to say f**k all, that's what they have done for the last two years after all.

Looks like our friends at Stenny were correct last August when they said we were there for the season.

If Liam is fit, he will, at least be a good addition to the bench.
That must be up there with Kjartan Finboggason as the most pointless loan spell ever!

I know that the consensus on here is that nobody really knows what would happen with your stadium situation if you got promoted… But I went a walk earlier by Lesser for the first time in a while, and I can’t believe how small it’s going to be. I mean, I knew what the capacity is going to be, but it seems like a huge waste of time and money considering the ambition is to play in the Premiership eventually? I do love the fact that Lesser is being redeveloped and you’ll have a stadium fit for your home support, maybe the case you’d play elsewhere for games against Rangers and Celtic? I’m looking forward to our game in February, should be a tasty one!
Noticed a third floodlight pylon had been erected last week at the south west corner, a fourth is lying behind the goal at the north end of the ground.
Anyway, as enjoyable as recent performances and results have been, each win is magnifying the absolute mess Leanne Dempster and the committee have made of Lesser.
To put it into perspective, they have now taken longer to build a single tier 1,200 capacity stand than it took to build the 17,000 capacity two tier stand at the main stadium in the late nineties.

and the sacking of the original contractors for, presumably, not doing what they were meant to do to a particular standard, have both increased the headache.
If the original contractors were sacked for a shortfall in standards then why did the adjudication find in their favour at a very large cost to the club? That suggests that there was nothing wrong with their work.
The fact they were sacked within days of Leanne Dempster coming in also suggests the problems started with her arrival and there is no sign of them ending.

There appears to be about one-third of the west side that is still free for development. Another 500 if terraced, surely? Also I don't think it would restrict the Royal view in any way.
Except the club have put a massive water tank half way along that part of the ground, effectively blocking any chance of putting seats there.
If they had put any thought into it they could have it buried under the pitch like we did at the main stadium in 1999, leaving space for a small stand.

Went by Lesser today and a couple of turnstiles have been installed at the south east corner.
Getting there (very) slowly but surely.

Just had lunch with my sister who lives in Somerville Drive and while I agree with some of the above, they have just erected the first floodlight pylon, slow but steady progress.
Two pylons up on the east side of the ground this afternoon.

Full season at Stenny incoming
In eight weeks time the building trade shuts down for the Christmas & New Year fortnight- by the time they start back we will have played the first home game of the second half of the season (Thistle on the 3rd January)..
After that point there is next to no chance the SPFL will allow us to change home grounds, sporting integrity and all that jazz.
There's no way Lesser is going to be finished in those eight weeks.
Wonder how long it will take for our beloved leaders to come clean that we're at Stenny until May?

I see, from a local angry people’s social media group, that some locals are unhappy at the late night work going on at the building site. Appears that the Royal Box was being worked on into the early hours.
The club will spin this as getting the local community interested in what's happening at Lesser.

Went by Lesser this afternoon and steel framework was being put up for the director's "no scum" stand.

Went past Lesser this afternoon and the builders were pouring concrete for the floor at the south east corner, spoke to one of the builders who reckoned there was a couple of months work to get it finished. Also said the east stand has been extended and should have a capacity of around 1200, don't remember that being mentioned before?

That was the case when we moved back - Hampden was ready at the start of December 2014 but we had to wait until January 2015 to play there - but we moved out midway through the second quarter of the season in November 2013.
