Absolutely no idea what to expect going into the game against Selkirk this Saturday. Given our performance last week I would probably foresee an Borders bodying being handed out; however, our away isn't actually that bad this season (certainly much better than at Ochilview) so who knows. The preview on the Lowland League website namechecks Kelbie as one of our key players...

Great to get 3 points and a clean sheet yesterday after a few disappointing results, especially against a team that gave us two tough challenges last season. Did anyone here make it down to the game? What was the performance like overall? Looked pretty strong from the highlights

Grant's a big loss, especially in the way he was able to hold the ball up, but we really shouldn't be struggling this much without him (pretty certain he dropped out of the team a bit around Christmas last year and we still beat BSC 6-0, for example), and Glasgow, as great as he could be, was quite inconsistent. Certainly other teams have strengthened, but at the same time we just don't seem to click going forward in the same way we did last season.

It still says that! On the league page Spartans are currently top with 12 points and 4 wins I was a bit confused for a bit there until I checked the Spartans twitter. Brilliant stuff for BSC, that's (on paper at least) three of their toughest games out of the way after four weeks.

Only real positives to take from today's game is that our defense was surprisingly solid, and the new black and red away strips look good. Gala's goalie was terrific, I thought. We're going to get absolutely hammered by Ayr this week.

Maybe they figured he'd back down first? Who knows? If his contract is as tight as mentioned here is really is inexplicable from EK. Mind you, firing him in the first place is arguably inexplicable, so whatever.

WW 0 - 4 Shire I wasn't at the game so can't speak to the actual performance, but is a very good result for us - comfortable margin, and a clean sheet as well. Good to get a positive result after the disappointment of Saturday, and with another difficult game in Dalbeattie coming up this weekend.

Totally agree, White always impressed when he played last season and should really be given more game time. I think in general we need more strength in midfield to support the defense. A central 3 of Del, McGregor, with White pushed a bit further forward, might work well

Is David Grant still at the club? I could've sworn he signed a contract for this season, but he's not been been listed in any of the teams so far

The team was much the same as it was last year, 9 of the 11 starting today would have been regulars last year. We were just unacceptably sloppy in the first half against a BSC side that have really improved over the summer. So hopefully it is just a freak result against good opposition
