  2. Never keen on quoting one of my own posts but this is to put this post into context. Even although we haven't heard it much lately, I'm sick to death of Amarillo being the song that is played when we score a goal. What about You're The First, My Last, My Everything by Barry White instead? "The first, my last, my everything And the answer to all my dreams You're my sun, my moon, my guiding star My kind of wonderful, that's what you are I know there's only, only one like you There's no way, they could have made two You're all I'm living for Your love I'll keep for evermore You're the first, you're the last, my everything" Start at the 0.50 mark on the video below. Just a thought,
  3. Can't speak for others but not in my case. Are you skiving on P&B by any chance?
  4. Fair enough, but it is when they are doing their punditry work instead of doing the work that we are paying them for that really pisses me off, (see attached video). Mind you, more often than not, when Jim Jefferies and Yogi Hughes had a spare few hours they were driving up and down the length of the UK to take a look at players for the betterment of Falkirk FC, not doing punditry work just to line their own pockets. I am no fan of Yogi but when he was the manager you could never complain about his work ethic or his passion to succeed.
  5. Not acceptable, as you yourself agreed in a previous post. We are not a fucking hobby for Miller, he gives us 100% of his time and attention or he can fcuk off. I am sure that there are plenty of other potential managers out there who would gladly give us 100%. To paraphrase the late, great Barry White, Falkirk are My First, My last, My Everything, I would expect that while a manager is working for Falkirk that that is his position too.
  6. Edited, sorry, I misread your post. If you are in the top league and you finish 2nd then you are guaranteed a place in Europe, quite a prize. In our league 2nd place, unless it leads to promotion, is nothing.
  7. 2 games to go, Airdrie are 5 points behind. Mathematically possible but unlikely. What is so difficult to understand? We could finish in 2nd place in the league for the next 10 seasons but if we don't get promoted then we have achieved nothing. There is little difference between 2nd and 5th if ultimately you don't get promoted.
  8. 2nd place is nowhere if you don't get promoted. I reiterate, to date he has won feck all.
  9. I'm really not getting the love-in for Ian Murray on here. Has anybody had a look at his wiki page? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Murray_(footballer) He's done feck all. My big fear is that if he is appointed we get the usual spiel of "we have to give him time", "this is a long term appointment", we need to get some stability at the club". No, we need to get somebody in who has won something or achieved a promotion, not somebody who has won nowt. Or else we'll be a part-time club celebrating our 150th anniversary in the 3rd tier of Scottish football. Cue the fireworks display.

  11. Not sure about Tommy Wright. I think Oran Kearney at St. Mirren used to commute from Northern Ireland.
  12. You mean completely, surely? In our predicament we need our manager giving us 100% of their time and attention.
  13. You mean the Ruud Gullit who was racially abused and spat on by St. Mirren supporters while playing for Feyenoord against St. Mirren and called it "the saddest night of my life'. That Ruud Gullit?
  14. If they employ Heartburn as a DoF then they had better not start pleading poverty and holding the begging bowls out. We don't need a DoF in League 1.
  15. We've been saying this for hundreds of pages bud. P.S. After the Titanic struck the iceberg they tried to steady the ship but unfortunately it went into a downward spiral. The good news was that when it settled on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean it was pretty stable.
  16. Unless it's the FSS representatives who want to keep him, maybe?
  17. I don’t know any of the board members from Adam but I would assume that they are all successful business people in their own particular fields. While we all consider ourselves to be fans, maybe they view us as merely customers? That being the case, they must know, surely, the cost and benefits of selling to an existing customer compared to the cost of trying to win a new or lapsed customer? Acquiring a new customer can cost five times more than retaining an existing customer. Increasing customer retention by 5% can increase profits from 25-95%. The success rate of selling to a customer you already have is 60-70%, while the success rate of selling to a new customer is 5-20%. They really must take note of their customers’ point of view when it comes to retaining Rennie or they could lose hundreds of existing customers and it would cost the club an absolute fortune to woo them back to TFS. Rennie and the Sevco Gobbler have to go.
  18. Talking about the good old days, can anybody remember a song that used to be quite popular in the Falkirk area? I might be wrong but I think that it was called Amarillo? I haven't heard it in ages.
  19. Yup, but you're their friend, I'm not. I'm sure they would tell you things that they wouldn't tell me.
