Before I read the post I did think the middle player is Benny McGuire. I have a team photo from around that time with Benny in it. I’ll try to post it.

Big shout out to WLDC for a ludicrous decision to limit the crowd to 1730.
You mean West Lothian District Council? That was abolished in 1996. But then your posts show you are living in the past.

It's probably because Alan doesn't realise how totally obsessed Specky is with Bo'ness .

Yes Fair. If it’s on a Saturday it a gala day

Seniors dominant throughout. Thought it was played in the correct spirit and beneficial for both teams. Seniors get to have players come back from injury and Juniors see where some players are. Helps for them to set a marker. They’re on a journey and I’m sure future games between the sides will become closer in the years ahead as the Juniors develop and better standard of player is introduced.
Interested to know - do the fans of the BU now see the Juniors as “part of the BU family”?
No

I’m sure George Connelly, ex Celtic, played in that game. He subsequently signed for Sauchie and played for them a few times against BU.

People are looking too far back for the missing answer .
Falkirk Juniors?

A guess, any 2 from Grangemouth Rovers, New Blackburn Athletic, Comie Colliery, Bonnybridge Juniors, Ballingry, Steelend Vics.

A teaser to test your memory. 2014 and the BU's won 2-9 at Bonnyrigg, led by Max Christie. The inimitable Duncan Smith was the ref.
Firstly, which BU player was sent off?
Secondly, what was unusual about the Rose player's sending off?
He came on as a sub, had already been yellow carded, got another after a few minutes and was red carded.

Been posted on the Linlithgow Rose thread that they are playing at Camelon next Saturday.........so where does the BU v Oakley game get played. Guessing it will be a trip to Oakley.
Oakley is nearer than Camelon. ....... boat to Culross then a taxi, 5 miles tops

I think one Newman was Norrie Brown who went on to play for Linlithgow for a good few years. Is John S thinking of Brian Watson not Brian Wilson?

Craig Napier, what a clown!
You’re being disrespectful to clowns. Having seen him refereeing Bo’ness games he’s a narcissist, it’s all about him, he has to be the centre of attention. He needs to seek medical attention for his condition.

You just don’t know when to grow up. However, there’s a good few people in your age group of 5-9 year olds could show you.
You sure about that? If you had said his nursery school class I might have believed you!

Another Kelty teaser, quite easy, back to Championship year 2014. Which two former SuperLeague winners of ours lined up against us in a 0-0 draw over there?
Roger Duffin and Paul Shields

Only problem there is that some would be approximates as team-lines not available for a number of games but I'll have a wee look and get back with it soon.
I’m guessing Ian McQueen will be in there,

They could stop them using the name Bo’ness United should/if they choose to do so

We go to 1976 now and a visit to Prestonfield in the League. Bo'ness came home with a 1-0 win over Linlithgow Rose, with the winner being scored by Billy Mitchell.
The team was: Ferguson, J McQueen, McGuinness, McGeachie, I McQueen, Miller, Scobie, Balanowski, Mitchell, Temperley, Anderson subs Robinson, Taylor
That was also the 1976 junior cup winning eleven.

Easier teaser today. Who scored the winning goal on their debut in 2016, against Broxburn?
Eddington? Can’t remember his first name

Was it the match when Greg Logan conceded a penalty , got sent off and Gavin came off the bench and saved it?

Just a general teaser here. Many players have had more than one spell at the club but can you tell me the greatest number of years between one debut and another?
