  1. Two similar sides, in brutal conditions. Some smashing pens and someone had to lose.
  2. He was offered a babies bottle to suck on, that’s what tipped him over the edge that night. I’m sure it started with him goving Bankies fans GIRUY when Morton took the lead. Kenny Brannigan deserves another mention here for offering some Bankies fans a square go during the Dublin protests and we can’t forger former Bankies keeper Garry Matthews trying to knock down a steward in the Boghead car park. Our early period in the juniors was full of this stuff too, very entertaining.
  3. Darvel are the best side I’ve seen this season, though Benburb blew us away on day one. We’ve lost two in fifteen, think we’d lost 5 or 6 at the same stage last season. Both losses to Benburb. I’d say that’s fairly consistent.
  4. The fortune of assembling a decent team and getting promoted. Aside from the good run at Falkirk, I expect his best spell as a manger would have been at Somerset. I am quite content of my knowledge of professional football having spent many years working in it, thanks for asking.
  5. His arse collapsed at Clydebank as soon as Gordon Chisholm walked away, after spending a budget that didn’t exist as him and his mates did their best to kill off our club. He failed at Morton. Did ok at Airdrie when spending money they didn’t have as they went bust. Won the Stirlingshire Cup at Falkirk. Did nothing at United, cost QoS £20k. Lost the lottery at Thistle and went missing for years. A bit of fortune at Ayr and then relegated Thistle. We have our own reasons to dislike him but his stats are mince.
  6. Unless he has a good number two with him (and not in a shoe) then I really fear for Clyde with this appointment. The man is a disaster, he couldn’t coach a shite out of an arsehole.
  7. Saturday's match with Darvel was a fantastic advert for the league, two good teams going at each other for 90 minutes.
  8. LOL It's one thing to have a pop at the fans, it's another to have a pop at the club itself. We have a few walloper fans, no doubt about that but the club and the people who run it are a fantastic bunch and don't get the praise they actually deserve. To suggest they are arrogant in any way is a shocking statement.
  9. You can't take much from a still and that doesn't look good but there is a few stills in the lead up which makes the Bens player look more dangerous than what is clipped above. Sadly I'm not clever enough to lift from twitter and place on here. The sending off didn't really impact the game, apart from the two goals, Clydebank created numerous chances but couldn't really test the Bens goalkeeper. The opener was a poor mistake from the goalkeeper and the second goal came at the death with Bankies throwing bodies forward for an equaliser. Bens work incredibly hard though and showed on day one they are a good side, results back that up.
  10. Long way to go, points on the board is good but we know there are a few clubs more than capable of winning all their games in hand and making the table look more even. Also worth noting that we've only beaten Beith once in 14 games stretching back ten years and that was a cup tie after extra time in 2020.
  11. Are you not related to anyone with a different surname?
  12. Is it possible that the terms of the loan deal do not have an option to recall early in it? Seemed to be what someone suggested at the game on Saturday but I 'm not upto scratch on how these things work to be honest.
  13. It's a very strange dig to make at somebody who has only been playing in the grade 5 minutes against a team and player who deservedly won the league last season and continue to pull out results and show they are the team to beat. We don't need to ham him up, his career speaks for itself.
  14. Beith keeper kept them in the game at points and the winning goal was from his quick thinking too. It was a physical game, the number of cards show that. There could probably have been another three or four to be honest. Cup football at it's best and worst! The stuff at the end from both sides was very poor though.
  15. Nicky Low has won the Scottish League Cup and the League of Ireland cup. Carlo Monti would be lucky to get tickets for either!
  16. There was a decent atmosphere and fair to say a lot of ale consumed on both sides! Nobody expected a bowling green. The licence relates to way more than just the actual ground itself. Did anyone get the official attendance by any chance? Curious to know as it looked around 400.
  17. Fair enough! When you go 1-0 down though, you do start to think ‘oh shit’!!
