  1. Clydebank are 'another example' of which model?
  2. You have no clue of our expenses. You don’t even have a clue on your ‘own’ clubs expenses.
  3. I think it's Talbot but could be wrong. Holm Park requires some work done for additional entrance and exit gates before the capacity can be raised again. The terracing itself can hold more than is currently allowed.
  4. There's no huff, we've had decades of winning nothing - it makes no difference. It's nice to win things, of course it is. It will never be the be all for a club like Clydebank though. If a club is going under then it is going under - promotion to the LL isn't going to save any club in the world, that's a silly suggestion. We spend what we bring in, we can't afford to spend beyond that. There is no benefactor supporting the club. The yearly accounts show that and the 600+ owners are happy with how the club is run. AGM after AGM passes without incident. We'll be here for a long time to come. We've never had to buy our name, the UCS Trust own it. Why would anyone want to buy Clydebank at present that we would even need to consider buying our name back from them? That's a crazy suggestion. Didn't have a decent view on the first red so not going to pass comment on it and already said the second was harsh. Cumnock deserved their lead, they bullied us in the first half. Second half, I thought we upped our game and were worth a point. It's very disappointing not to have taken the lead against ten men and indeed the penalty could have won it. Teams have struggled against ten men for decades, it's not really a big deal.
  5. It's a shame for you. At least get the fella's name correct. Regardless of what we do, two of the clubs behind us play each other next week so something will always give elsewhere. FWIW - the second sending off was extremely harsh and came in the 93rd minute so was never going to have any impact on the game. I believe we've bid for three players ahead of Saturday's game, £20k and £500 a week each while work on our 500 seater stand begins on Monday 29th ahead of our impending promotion to League 2. With any luck, you might lose your password again because you are incredibly boring and full of shite.
  6. Is there not some requirements to do with a club doctor as well? Heard this mentioned elsewhere.
  7. The last few games I've attended, the assistants look a lot younger than of late. They're still learning in that sense. Like it or not, the WoS is a learning centre for younger assistants. The guys in the middle - most have been in this league for a few seasons. They need to be better, for both the teams and the young guys they're also coaching. No idea if it was a younger official on the Largs - Pollok game. The video shows the assistant pointing at something twice and then raising the flag after the whistle goes but before the ball is in play. I'll guess he got distracted by whatever he was pointing at and having heard the whistle, assumed the ball was in play. It's impossible to watch two things at once. I think the referee should establish that and either give the goal or order a retake.
  8. This was crazy stuff, and nobody had a clue what was going on. The amount of decisions that baffled everyone and left coaching staff on both sides sniggering was of a very high count!
  9. Went to Cumnock with a friend who has no real affinity to my club, was a day out on the train for us. That boy in the middle has to be the worst referee I've ever seen in the WoS. I can't recall the last time I saw both sets of fans gathering to bay for his blood. The game slipped away from him in the opening minutes and by full time, it felt like he had slipped away with it. My mate can't wait to see him strutting his stuff at a higher level. Neither can I.
  10. Darvel are the best side I've seen us play so far this season but any one of five or six could go onto win it at this stage. We've still a few double headers to play which could have a massive impact for all.
  11. A number of fairly late call offs at the weekend - the league has to have better leadership on this if you ask me. Some of these games never stood a chance. I think I read our supporters bus was boarded and ready to leave when Pollok went off. IT's not a good look for clubs or the WoS.
  12. The grade is long gone. Why don’t you start it up again?
  13. It’s listed above, it’s widely known that it was £10k.
  14. Well Cumnock have been quoted more than what Clydebank paid.
  15. We could all do with those buses staying in our towns.
  16. Two fees from last seasons surplus. Higher rental to account for said council funding. Several self funded ground improvements. Wages within budget for 20th season in a row. If we don’t go up, we din’t go up. That’s football. There is no gamble.
  17. Don’t we all. I wouldn’t comment on any individuals alleged wage though. I’d be stunned if any Clydebank player is on £500 a week or ever has since we reformed the club - the figures wouldn’t add up.
