St Johnstone have two Scottish cups and a league cup in the time period he has mentioned not that it makes any sense to the discussion or that anyone genuinely thinks St Johnstone are a threat to us or Celtic for the title this season or for foreseeable future on the back of it though. -

Just out of interest and not really any relevance to what is actually being discussed what do they class as greater Glasgow on that list ? always assumed that places like Coatbridge , East Kilbride etc would fall into that category to be honest so just wondering how they classify some areas like that as separate but for example Paisley isn’t on the list -

To put that in perspective only one team other than Celtic have beat us in two full seasons and Celtic are nearly a year undefeated in the league since we beat them at Ibrox -

I think Dundee utd’s victory over us at the very start of last season was the last time someone beat us or Celtic in the league outside of each other -

I don’t think there is a major problem with our lower league set up as it is to be honest . I may be naive or oblivious to any major flaws or gripes as it has been a few years now since we were down the lower leagues so happy to be corrected if the lower league fans have any major issues that I am not picking up on edit to add : just realised the colts teams is probably a major issue after I typed this up -

I don’t think that part time teams are a major issue at all in the grand scheme of things getting rid of part time teams from the lower divisions isn’t all of a sudden going to bridge any gap between Rangers , Celtic and the rest -

Nah personally I’m not into or comfortable for this idea of merging or essentially killing teams off to lower numbers All these smaller clubs play a significant role historically and are still a huge part in the local community to this present day As mentioned in the now defunct Kilmarnock and Celtic thread I like the idea of bigger leagues so I would be more for bringing more teams into the SPFL fold if it meant we could get it up to a number where you could get into 3 leagues of 16 or whatever -

People have the right to be offended and uncomfortable with any supposed support of the IRA taking place infront of them . You can argue your point about it being a romanticised notion of the old early twentieth century IRA until your hearts content but their has been more than enough symbolism , songs and banners down the years which show sections of the Celtic support have been quite public with their support of the balaclava donning proscribed terrorist namesakes of the later half of the century so that link and perspective is always going to be there And yes I know that we have the exact same argument on our side regarding the old UVF and their later namesake before we go down whattaboutery avenue -

All very true but then I have seen “both” my clubs win knockout rounds in the proper stages of European tournaments and “both” get to a final since you last witnessed your team win in Europe past Christmas swings and roundabouts eh pal -

It hasn’t been devastatingly effective under van Bronckhorst ? It has worked every time he has used it and got us to a final mate how much more effective can it be -

Is it tactically naive if it has genuinely worked in every single example you have just referenced?
