Christ I'd bring back Charlie King the now.... am already nervous for the next few games ...... not good with a depleted squad in this league

I don t think we re at breaking point but there's no point in travelling with guys who have niggles etc and paying them 2 wages (  they're 1st job losses of earnings as well mind) just to sit in a bus or warm the 5th place on the bench .

Different if game had been in the central belt .

    That cups gotten ridiculous.

  2. What are folks opinions on this ? I'm just asking the a question and not being synical !!

In this league a half decent City team doing away fine and with the other teams being mostly local I reckon our average attendance could be 550 / 650  that's relying on  derbie s plus winning Airdrie and Raith teams .

But the poor offering we ve had to start with I think we ll struggle to get 200 home fans shortly . This is a reason I think things need to change sooner than later . Either our style of footy and let our better players play proper footy or we bring in new faces behind the scenes as well and freshen whole place up .( I m not having a pop at anyone and I know we punch above our weight but it's all a bit gloomy just now ) .

I gave him till last Saturday !

Nothing s going to change and we all know it.  We ll get two 0 0 bore draws the next couple league game s and he ll be safe .

Up until Xmas I was quite happy with him but after Xmas we gradually got worse n worse ( confidence as well I realise that ) Not changing formations or giving others a chance , telling a confident Isaac not to take a penalty and give it to teachers pet Kalvin, who was woeful last year but doing okay this year .

Binning Finn Graham and Watty for having opinions .

And lastly not lifting the team against QOS probably worst performance of the season.

    This makes for grim reading.

I now have four games I will attend and then make a judgement, although in all honesty I will take some convincing that Dods is the man.

We seem to have no idea about how to win games (something like a 30% win rate - excluding last year). We have been duped too long - the great escape year had a good end to a season, we forgot how shite the previous 25 games had been, we got promoted losing more than we won but hey we got promoted - excellent and we forget what a chore most of the season was and then last season - a free hit (?) playing the same non football tactics all season and now this one.

Not starting well, signings not been the best, we have replaced decent players for average or is it still the tactics that make the players look average. My money is more on the tactics - sit tight and counter. Boring as PISH!

I do not think it good going back to previous managers. I see the argument for an old hand to steady the ship otherwise we maybe looking at oblivion. Ignore the pish about no money - we are okay after last year with a bit of a reserve, with a prediction of a 50 - 70k loss this so spending large is not an option. That said the crowds will dry up this year if the anti-football is continued to be served up, which in turn might make the predicted loss worse.

Stevie Campbell did a good job at Utd and I for one would like to see him given a go, if he would take it.

Any word on who was (if anyone) was falling out with the players and committee after Saturday?

I agree regards keeping a tight ship but more positive displays on the pitch eventually brings it s rewards . We re not staying up with the current squad and manager with what I ve seen so far ( just my opinion  )

I think when you see the rage from other team s when they have bad spells our lads have got off lightly.

Why do you think it has disappeared ?

i find it strange that we re in dire strait's and we re not doing anything about it . We re not even bringing in loan players. which I know cost money these days . We re not spending money on the ground either like we were told at AGM .Maybe my statement sounded worse than intended I m certainly not suggesting foul play or anything like that .

  6. The money disappearing is a massive concern .Is the benefactor from previous years being reimbursed behind the scenes ???? .For us to be competing at a senior level but allowed to compete at a amateur levelon and off park  is a massive worry .Things ain't right at our club top to bottom and need fixed .I'm sorry harsh but true

I spent a fine day with my son and grandson thanks.

I knew that after Wednesday's drubbing a defensive borefest would be on the cards at Dens so avoided it like the plague.

And you have the cheek to have a pop at me ha ha ha . It was in fact the ultimate defensive borefest.  Even the Undateables were quiet

Don’t understand that. If you are free and want to watch a game then go to see your own team regardless of how poor we are. It’s the first game of the season ffs. Why on earth would you boost the coffers of your rival clubs ahead of supporting your own?!

I'm on 6 till 2 simple as that . And being a footy fan will go and watch a nearby game .

I've said all along Dodds is useless and now it looks like the mafia are now turning against him.He will never be sacked as the committee don't have the balls to do it and he will never walk because he is too thick.Slowly the club is being run into the ground and before we know it we will be in the Highland League. The dwindling home crowd is just a start.

He s certainly not thick he's taking a wage whilst underperforming knowing full well he ll never be sacked.

Have to remember The Committee cut his budget because they foresee a 50 k loss this season .

Maybe if we were nt so shite in Cup games under Darren we d have some cash or maybe if we played footy thats easy on the eye our crowds would slowly get bigger , we d win a game or two , sponsors would start appearing and slowly but surely this grey cloud that has hovered over The Glebe for the last 13 mths will disappear. It's all down to his obsession  with defending .

    RANT OVER

  10. First derby of the season on Saturday and you ll probably find more Brechiners at it than will travel to Stenny.

With Brechin making it clear on and off the field that we have accepted a dire season I can see more  City Fans than usual adopting Montrose as their 2nd match option  ( note not supporting just watching ).  Really looking forward to what should be a real feisty affair.

Got to fancy Dick to take the spoils though from his pal .
