  1. They don’t deserve to be ahead. If they score a legitimate onside goal, then they deserve to be ahead. If they are ahead from an offside goal, then they don’t deserve to be ahead.
  2. I’m more amazed at the number of neutrals who think it was onside or even tight.
  3. No, when the ball was played, he was well offside. There’s no tight about it. He was offside.
  4. Offside. Andy Walker is an absolute c**t. “Tight”? Jesus f**k.
  5. Every chance you are correct, and I’m wrong, Jambo. If we set up your way and win, I’ll be delighted. HHGH
  6. I’d drop Boyce for Ginnelly, because Celtic will be pushing us back in to our own half for the majority of the game, and Boyce won’t have the pace to break against them. Boyce likes to come deep and then try and bring the ball forward. He will not be able to do that when we are camped on our 18 yard box. Ginnelly and McKay have the pace to get us back up the pitch and properly hit on the break. Boyce can come in later on when his chronic lack of pace won’t be as big an issue. You say that Boyce was excellent v St Mirren. I agree he played well. St Mirren at home is a totally different game to Celtic away though. United at home was a far better performance than St Mirren at home. I think that particular set up would be better though, because it gives us the ability to hit on the break.
  7. Only if Neilson is stupid enough to persist with shoehorning the huddy in at every opportunity.
  8. I’m not expecting much from tonight, with Beni being out. Since we beat them at the start of the season, they have strengthened by adding Ajeti and Kyogo. The cup game it was very apparent that Smith wasn’t up to handling Kyogo. Neilson will play him though, and he will probably spend his entire time camped in his own half. If you play with wingbacks in a 343, you absolutely need to have them up the pitch and helping the two sitting midfielders. Moore and Cochrane do this very well, but Smith just doesn’t have it to do this against a fast attacking player like Kyogo. I am praying that Beni is actually fit, and that we play Moore and Cochrane as the wingbacks. I’d also be starting Ginnelly as the striker again, like we did v United. Boyce can come off the bench and try and nick one v tired legs. Don't even mention Andy fucking Halliday.
  9. Dunno. There’s at least one St Mirren supporter on here who would disagree.
  10. Has to be Haring. He’s always been one of our better players v Celtic. Where did you read about Beni?
  11. At least “Indodrill” sounds like some kind of exotic animal. “Global Energy Arena” sounds like a huge American stadium with towering skyscrapers on its periphery. Then you see the place. Brechin City levels of glib misnomerishness.
  12. GMS was in the paper today, saying he’s been carrying an injury.
  13. Yes. For a while after Hibernian started playing at Easter Road, the press still referred to their home ground as Hibernian Park. Point is though, Hearts Park would sound shit and most of us wouldn’t be onboard with it. As it’s Celtic we are talking about though, then I’m delighted to use the even more beige and generic sounding Celtic Park name.
  14. Been to both. Rancid place. If I was a Celtic supporter () I’d still call it Parkhead too. I’m trying to imagine someone renaming Tynecastle Park: ‘Hearts Park’. I’d not be having that. It’s Celtic though, so I’m happy for them to have an ever shitter generic name for their stadium than that which they had already.
  15. Pedant alert: Not for a few years, now. They play at Celtic Park.
  16. I’d be playing the team that beat Dundee United, before we insisted on moving Moore out of RWB, Boyce in for Ginnelly, and Halliday taking Cochrane’s place. Three changes that weaken our team.
  17. Absolutely. The calling card of the inbred bigoted puddle-drinker. No shock that the OP falls squarely in to that category.
  18. Suspect you are correct. As I said, “oddball” thinking. I can categorically state that I’d be happy to see any other club than Hibs win a trophy/division at the expense of the OF. There you go though, clearly the ‘big team and wee team’ mentality is as strong as ever in some parts of Scotland.
