Even if he is impartial it’s a massive conflict for him to be in charge of any Ayr or Kilmarnock game. I’m sure Steve Clarke called him out as letting it affect his performance which led to his DKB father stepping down from being a club ambassador.

He is unpopular with Kilmarnock fans too. He sent off three Killie players in a match against Aberdeen. An historical precedent was three Killie players getting sent off against Ayr and his Dad was one of them.

I thought we won the Darlington game comfortably but the game against Blyth Spartans was closer.  Looking back through the archives online it says we drew both games 0-0?  Normal preseason games though with players being changed out frequently.  I stood near Connor during the Darlington game and you could tell he had a real passion even in these friendly games.  Left the games thinking that Ayr looked a decent squad and think that was the season we went to the League cup final?

1-1 versus Blyth. 3-2 win versus Darlington. Blyth then beat Darlington 4-1 to win the Absolute Print and Design trophy.

Bless. Thank you, thankyou. Number 7 Pit in the background.

The photo was from Cowdenbeath 2 Ayr United 0 on 3rd September, 1949 (League Cup). I borrowed it from John Christie and got it copied. He is the goalkeeper in the photo. The stamp on the back was West Fife Press. Here is another from that game.

  4. If Cove did make precautionary measures the club should make a statement to confirm what those measures were. In truth they bottled it. Nothing was done at all. If an unsuccessful effort had been made then no more could have been asked. You will not find one Cove fan who was remotely bothered by the postponement.  They are probably hoping for another cold snap to prevent Friday's match going ahead. Volunteers to clear the pitch? Where were they? Pitch covers? Where were they? I would have no gripes about the postponement if an effort had been made.

When you think things are bad...

Take a second and think it could be worse.... We could be Falkirk....

Shocking again from them... 4 nil defeat to a bang average Airdrie side...... That's poor

Tipped to do well every season and end up utter shite.... And they are throwing decent money about as last season proved

They are where they are thanks to a premature celebration at Palmerston.

    First half - very good

    Second half - mostly good

Arbroath down to 10 - outfoxed with a real lack of game intelligence. Arbroath looked more likely to score.

We never really looked like losing that game today. Although it's fair to say we didn't really look like winning it.

    We still need additions pronto.

No. I don't agree that Arbroath looked more likely to score.
