Am I right in thinking he gets on well with most of the players on a personal level? If I was one of your players, I'd be fucking raging after hearing that shite from him

I’d assume so given that he’s played with a lot of them and signed the rest of them. They’ve also definitely been playing for him up until now and you can’t say that 100% effort hasn’t been given from the players, even today.

It just doesn’t sit right with me that anyone can see that the game was lost before kick off today because McPake fucked up by changing something that didn’t need to be changed yet he’s taking absolutely no responsibility.

  2. Said it in the match thread after about 15 minutes but I’ll say it again in here: today is all on McPake. I’ve backed McPake up until now (and I’m not suddenly calling for him to be sacked after today) but he got it all wrong. He’s also came out and thrown the players under the bus, and while they were also pish, he has to take responsibility.

Hes come out constantly and praised how well we’ve been playing this season and just not had the luck in front of goal which I can agree with and most on here will. However, if we’ve been playing so well, why the f**k have you completely changed the whole system?

Players didn’t have a clue out there. Nobody seemed to know who was supposed to be tracking which runners and it was a total clusterfuck. A tactical shambles today.

Like I said, I’ve backed McPake however the change of system because we played okay with it against Rangers (completely ducking different to St Johnstone) is incomprehensible especially after what he’s been saying all season.

I’m fucking seething that he’s put all of the blame on the players.

Dark Blues officials told Sky Sports chiefs that their pundit would not be getting interview access to any of the club’s management team or staff after Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Rangers.

I read that as not banned from the stadium but the club will refuse to cooperate with him in any official capacity

That’s what I thought but then it also says that he had to watch the game from the sky truck outside the ground which isn’t true as he walked infront of me pitch side around 15 minutes before kick off towards the TV bit.

I hope he is banned mind you.

I would put good money on him being in charge of you guys at some point. Probably even this season, even if only on an interim basis.

I’ll take your good money. No matter what happens this season McPake won’t be sacked and I’m not against it (unles things were to go completely tits up). Still think we’ll be fine.

I would think that if Dundee are to get a goal in any game, it will be this one. As mentioned, we will be a bit makeshift at the back, so really opportunity to exploit that.

If I was McPake, i'd put plenty of pace up top and start by going right at saints. I was really impressed with Anderson last week for Dundee. Looks a right prospect, so would be happy if he is not playing.

If we go a goal down, it think we will struggle to turn it around.

For Saints, I would be dropping Kane. He is good at what he does, but we need goals and from the last few games, I would say Stevie May looks sharper than he has for a while.

Liam will undoubtedly feature at some point and would be a nice touch if maybe Steven Anderson was there to present something to him. Better still if you could get Alan Main and Doug Barron too.

Finally, get the pyrotechnics in the bin thanks.

    Anderson will be playing.

I'm expecting you to start Sofien Sheridan and him to scab a winner with a header he barely touches, but I expected that at the Cup game too tbh.

Midfield area will be key. Felt like we were outnumbered there during the week due to personnel so need to resolve that, especially if Adam plays.

Sheridan won’t play and will only come on if we are losing with 15 minutes to go so you really should be wanting him to come on.

Don’t think Adam will play, have a feeling McPake is waiting until after the international break. We could afford to have him out for this game but we can’t afford for him to come back early and be out for another 6 weeks.

Bizarre to think that if we win this we will be level on points and for that reason I can’t see anything other than a home win.

No excuse. But surely Dundee have a great chance now.

    Gordon

    McCart

    Brown

    Bryson

    Davidson

    McPherson

    All out.

Means that it's likely to be Ambrose and two 19 year olds at the back. A back three that's only trained together.

Only 2 of those players you listed played the game at Dens and 1 of those 2 went off injured in the first half. So really only McCart missing from the team that came out for the second half at Dens which you won 2-0 last week.

He can't be, he's played in the EPL and for Southern Ireland. I was explicitly told I was talking shite when I said he was a waste of a wage (as I was when I said the same regarding Duffy last season).

Celtic look very poor here on the ball. There's no guile, just hoping to force a way through.

To be fair to McCarthy he’s no more pish than the rest of them. They’re all equally pish.
