  1. Pay the going rate and let the manager worry about selling the club, if we had spent in the summer instead of trying to strengthen in January I believe we wouldn’t be in this mess, this all stems from not backing Dodds in championship season or the season we came down, the board tried to keep money back because they knew they would sack Dodds if the were out the playoffs, fifth in league and sacked, why not just sack him ? rightly so after not winning a game in a whole season! Give a new manager a full budget for the season at the start of the season, we can go back to the great escape season, the board took so long to appoint a manager all the best players that may have been available had been snapped up giving Dodds no time to build a team, ridiculous club management surly you can see this? we’ve never had problems getting a squad together before
  2. Where has the manager been backed? It’s a team of kids, they won’t be costing us very much if anything, there’s a massive difference from 19s football to first team football, hopefully we get a few gems and we come good I genuinely hope we can I just don’t see it just now. Pining our hopes on a teenager who’s still done nothing in the game is very desperate i do agree we needed more from experienced guys, jacko and McCord Mcgaluchlin being the biggest let downs Followed by McCabe , but not down to ability more down to there own fitness,!
  3. Not at all, my point is back the manager at the start of the season so we don’t have to over pay in January and give the manager his full budget at the start of the season. This trying to strengthen in January didn’t wort I’ve now witnessed 3 years of it
  4. The problem has beeN the board not backing the manager, the board have killed the club, Dodds got a decent budget the year after the great escape brought in trouten, hill, and love, He got us promoted, then couldn’t keep hill or trouten as budget got reduced, went into the championship with a weaker squad than the season before, the board realised we needed to spend money and gave Dodds a budget in January a notoriously hard window . Why not back him after promotion knowing the gates are going to increase ?? then even after not winning a game for a whole season they keep Dodds on ?????? Didn’t agree with this at all! we start season ok but don’t really have a recognised fit striker and we sack dodds when we’re 5th in the league and bring in Barry smith, his way of playing is completely different again the board give him a budget in a notoriously hard window, Barry smith brought real quality to the club but we didn’t address the striker shortage which inevitably caused us to get relegated we where completely toothless now Barry smith is a recognised manager if your going to keep him on you need to back him, the club cut the budget again we keep 2 players. Oneil who did ok and hill our player, players player, and fans player of the year as he had another year on his contract! there’s a great start, we tried to keep 6-8 of original squad but they move on for better money Because the club don’t back the manager, I think smith knew he wasn’t getting backed so he left and instead of getting a recognised manager he brings in an inexperienced manager who again has his own ideas , give him a budget to bring in players in again January a notoriously hard window and if it wasn’t for a pandemic we would be out of the professional league now this season instead of learning there lesson and backing the manager with a half decent budget and having faith in him bringing in the right players they cut budget again and now we have a an extreamly young team No players of any note have signed except Paton who hasn’t set the heather alight , we may have better legs than last year but we look much weaker at the back and unable to manage a game I fear we will struggle again this season a lot more than last year
  5. He has been offered a contract by ourself but is stalling, he's a great defender throws strikers about, easily our best player this year nothing he could have done regarding relegation always left everything on the park, I think we will lose him regardless if he ends up at you lot or not, he's far to good for league 1 never mind league 2,
  6. Keep hill thomson miller (looks the part) robertson c tapping (if he can stay fit) spark burns toshney (if he can get fit) scobbie : ultimate steady player nothing flashy just does his job undecided jackson :looks done this year still has moments of magic but fewer every week mcgeever : not had a great run at brechin oneil : did ok but just ok orsi : can be unplayable on his day , not enough this year e smith: bit of a meh I wouldn’t want him starting every week in midfield punt mclean : great servent but he’s not got legs to play full back and can’t play cb shields: injured seen him play 3 times in 2 spells lynas : 100% player but rash we have better options sinclare : has the ability , to busy arguing with refs and own players and always injured kavanah: just a really bad player
  7. Think airdrie Montrose dumbarton Stranraer could all be fighting for that playoff spot if recent forms to go by, we have had almost full squad for the last 4 games now, and the mood is changing in our camp, playoff hear we come tbf dumbarton have been doing well
  8. Next two games massive for us, if by some miracle we win them we can start looking up, 9 points gets us save I think
  9. How much was the Astro say it was £250k the loss of £150k isn’t that bad, you should make money off the Astro next year
  10. Didn’t you have your most successful 7 years when you had a hybrid of part time and full time, I personally think the football on show doesn’t get any better when I watched a lot of full time teams last year, I thought the fitness was better and they wher better organised ( that coulda been down to Dodds) but a club like yours should be able to attract the best part time players and use the money saved to bring in better full time players, it’s a no brainier
  11. A lot of gloom around airdrie, thought apart from the first 20 mins you completely dominated the game. A welcome 3 points, some heroic defending and good goalkeeping for us but airdrie well worth a draw or all 3 point
  12. He has a point citydiehard, u got that one wrong
  13. I thought he was terrible, worse than layne, but we’re all entitled to our opinions
  14. We play sexy football now! The fans will come flocking back
  15. He would be great for us but would he want to come to brechin? John mcglynn mark wilson anybody is batter than Dods
  16. Think people are being a bit harsh on shields to be honest , I think he’s been fine, isolated the last 2 games but one of the better players the first 2 games, we really are a boring team to watch when we don’t need to be we have players who can be exciting kalvin out wide is a cracking player, delivery could be better but he’s young sinclair: goal scoring midfielder Dods won’t play him!!! Tapping can go box to box as can smith burns likes to get forward from full back as does pabz Jackson is quality and I think him and shields will link up well big mcgeever and hill a solid base, thats in a 4-4-2 but Dods persists in a 3-5-2/ 5-3-2 it’s chronic to watch, i do blame Dods for last year and I do blame him for how we are playing but I will give him my support the first 5 league games, if he starts bad he’s a goner
  17. So Isaac was good? We played two up top, so wasn’t isolated boris tried??? He ran about that’s it tho! I could get a 60 year old from the Stand to play up top he would try also ,that doesn’t mean he is good, he gave the ball away everytime he got it didn’t like up and didn’t have a shot at goal, are you happy with that, he’s no where good enough for this league, a bit like Isaac last year Fusco James dale/ moreno. worse Watt/ Henry. worse Trouts/Isaac. worse buzz/ Brennan. worse burns/ Dyer. worse but still ok we lost finn also who I’m not a big fan of but he is better than we have it been a gradual decline since we got promoted. A year of dross and now he’s signed even worse players, it’s laughable how bad he’s been
  18. I’ll give you hill being good and getting pass marks, which is crazy considering we lost 7 goals but I don’t think he could of done anything about any of them, but Boris is worse than Issac and he was the worst player I’d ever seen in a brechin shirt
  19. Really enjoyed the game today, we played some neat stuff and dug in when Stirling has there spell, the goal we lose is very soft but the team look more balanced, shields was quality, Boris scored but didn’t do much else actually he was poor, I thought tapping was really good(in spells) hendry was a bit meh mareno was ok neat and tidy, burns was good, Lynas was ok but gives you nothing going forward , back 3 all good and composed, Euan Smith had a great second half in midfield, the subs made the difference so fair play to Dods, Sinclair and Orsi gave us a lift at the right time, we were actually good to watch so I look forward to the next game
  20. Scored 2 goals in 2 years ! Please take him! I’d be happy for him to move on, if he stays ..........meh
