  1. What a night for the Lee's. Thistle being brought down to earth and another semi final for the lads
  2. Great to see both shortlees and New Farm winning after the pitch swap carry on
  3. Not the best game. Weather had a lot to do with that tho. Great result tho
  4. See the annoying thing is. With a bit of a budget and some maintenance scott Ellis ( incorporating the ayrshire athletic arena) could be Kilmarnocks answer to Kilwinning sports club. There is space for 6 parks down there. With some investment it could be a top facility. One that makes the council money, albeit after an initial large outlay.
  5. They asked a club to swap. The club agreed. What's the big deal. One thing I'm sure is that New Farm wouldnt have felt bullied into it from Cunny so Who cares. well played New Farm from everyone at shortlees. All the best to Cunny and the lads. Cant wait should be a cracker.
  6. On this note. Why do teams like The Lees, Thistle, New Farm, Killie United, Kilmarnock AfC Belfield Crosshouse need to all do battle for St Joseph's and The Grange astroturf when Stewarton and Galston constantly have first dibs on Stewarton and Loudoun Astroturfs ?? Is it not all the same trust ? Seems like favouritism to me.
  7. You cant book Astros in advance in ayrshire mate. The Monday before the Saturday is the earliest that it can be booked. Eg this morning at 8am is the first time u can attempt to book a pitch in ayrshire for this coming Saturday
  8. Well enlighten us. U claim u found out "it did happen" What did happen? and who is away coming into a huge couple of weeks for the club
  9. Thistle v Glenburn should be a cracker this week, although I think I'll be watching the Lee against Sandy's.
  10. I was down myself although I left as Glenburn equalised with 8 mins to go. The conditions were horrendous but fair play to both teams, they actually played some good football considering. 2nd week in a row I have left with nothing but praise for the referee aswell. Last week Rab Hunter and this week Kris Brawls.
  11. [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122] totally agree. Two really good teams that controlled large spells of the game each. Rab is an absolute breath of fresh air as a referee. Takes it and gives it to a certain degree and decent in to the bargain.
  12. I couldnt agree more. I dont watch alot of junior football at all so I wouldnt claim to know more than the good people on this forum, but I watch amateur football every week and know alot of people in the Amateur game. Townhead may not be owned by the Juniors but atleast they are doing the next best thing, being part of a COMMUNITY. Yeah Beachwood may be owned by the Talbot and the junior have a great backing in Auckinleck. As far as I can see there is not much care for grassroots below that. The Amateurs were never given any Community backing whatsoever. Nose turned up at them when they dare asked to use the excellent beachwood facilities, but bend over backwards to accommodate the amatuer Ayrshire cup semi finals and finals. So yeah being the best team in the country is brilliant and having the facilities Talbot have is commendable but not everyone is as lucky. So being part of one of the best community set ups in the region isnt too bad either IMO ofcourse.
  13. I Still think Shortlees will win everything in ayrshire this season and a great chance of winning the Scottish. Knapps season has been stop start with the 8 games he has missed thru suspension and he only came back ammies in sept Oct time. That being said I still think he is every bit as good if not better than the season they won the scottish. I do agree they need a striker tho. Shortlees or Eastfield for me. I will stress that I haven't seen half of the teams left So like many it's an educated guess based on other teams results.
  14. I dont remember them losing any game there. Drawing once with thorn and winning the rest I think
  15. I will be shocked if shortlees dont win by 2/3
  16. Cumnock v Dailly will be a cracker. That will be my choice of viewing. Hopfully the juniors are away
  17. I was shocked myself. Fancied Tarbolton but didnt think it would of been as convincing as Irvine are a good team in their day
  18. Shocked at the Mauchline result against today. What's going on there the now. Also looking really bad for Galston. That's a horrendous result ag home. Tarbolton showing again the gulf between mid table - top premier league to top first division teams. I watched killie United again today and although they looked to be missing a few they were very impressive again.
  19. Agree think they have still to be beaten and that's after drawing away to Hurlford and at home to shortlees. There is going to be a good battle at the top this season. Top 3 will be the usual I feel but with a chunk of teams capable of taking points off them this season
  20. I think the top 3 will be the usual. Out with that a serious chance of top 4 and maybe another couple of finals like last season. Very good team
