  1. I personally think the right decision was made. The amount of greeting faced rangers fans moaning about celtic being handed a tainted title and now moaning coz there club havent been handed promotion.

Anyway I think the right decision was made but laughable that grown men are blaming everyone bar the right people.

I see one of the Crosshouse strikers on social media abusing people when his own club couldnt even be bothered to vote for a proposal they were part of. LAUGHABLE

For me you are taking the easy way out. It's easy to blame the blazers. This is 100% down to the clubs.

There were 2 proposals. The executives proposal was wrong imo and the Mauchline proposal was correct.
It was the clubs that voted the wrong proposal through. This is on the 34 clubs that did not vote yes to Mauchlines proposal. No one else.
Even if ayrshire had proposed what Mauchline had it was still up to the clubs to vote it through.

34 shite bag clubs are to blame.
  2. Yes I totally agree with the part about football not being allowed as yet but pubs etc.

Just found the comment about being downgraded on 19th march a little odd.
I get your point tho mate and as I say totally agree.

Because people don't know whether they are coming or going half of the time.
It wasn't a comment of trying to slate anything, its just frustrating when certain things are allowed open. I've honestly been in places where there has been zero distancing. And not just the odd place.
  3. Maybe as there has been almost a millions deaths since 19th march.

Things are changing week on week. What has a decision 5 months ago matter

I'm absolutely flabbergasted at the fact that pubs have been allowed to re-open, where people have continuously proved they have broken rules regarding restrictions yet outdoor sports isn't allowed? It's crazy.
It would also be great for someone to shed some light on the fact that the government downgraded covid-19 from a highly infectious disease to the same level as the flu on March 19th.
Yet there are still so many restrictions. Crazy times
  4. Probably the same way it should have been up to the government to organise and fund the nhs yet football clubs/ players and individuals all over the country raised millions for the nhs. Sometimes it takes individuals to make the first move. Iv NEVER seen this kinda hate towards someone trying to raise cash for the good of the game. I wonder why James Anderson's donations at senior level wasnt met with the same reaction. Maybe if he was a Darvel man rather than a hearts man he would have been.

Surely that should be up to the league to organise such a thing?
  5. Great point. The guy just donated £1000 to help a random club and he is getting grief for it. At a time we all know another wave of this could end many clubs at this level. No matter how long they have been around for.

The donate a ticket thing has gone through the roof, brilliant effort by everyone. Is it just coz of Darvel's involvement that upsets the junior grader so much ? I expect EVERY  non league club would be happy for any help in this current time, hope you've made a contribution ?
  6. And tbh I do not agree with the strict training rules for clubs. It must be safer than other activities that's allowed but the government and sfa were clear. Stick to the rules or lose out. Football as a whole only have themselves to blame

I Couldnt agree more. I follow a few local Amateur teams and the one on my door step never stopped training at all. Right the way through all this. Then started posting pictures of maybe 20 people all training and certainly not socially distancing and certain plenty of contact.

I meet one of the boys who plays with them at the bookies who moaned about the celtic c**t ruining it for everyone. I certainly left thinking to myself, you can't be serious.

Just dont break the rules?? You say it was too difficult not to. It wasnt really becayss the vast majority of teams were sticking to the rules. Teams playing friendlies using dressing rooms, others putting poctures of 20 guys training all together, posting requests for referees. Along with Aberdeen, Celtic, Hibs, Motherwell and Rangers they're the ones who shafted everyone.
  8. Is that how it's running? I thought the delay to having the AGM was to allow the vote in person. I suppose the schools etc will not allow bookings. As I say damned if they do and damned if they dont.

No keen on Zoom AGM tbh but I suppose unless they can get a hall that social distances 50 odd folk then it just have to be?
  9. Aye one thing I will say is they AAFA are damned if they do and damned if they dont. We have started a new season at senior level and still all the talk is about team being handed titles and relegated too early, and that's in much fairer circumstances than amatuer football.

Whatever happens going forward it will be the clubs that vote for it so it's on them.

As I say the aggrieved clubs are confident they have enough votes so be promoted. Time will tell

It’s a tough one...you look at Mauchline fir example?
Streets clear in their league compared to Galston who hardly won a game of fitba & when fitba restarts Galston play in a higher league than Mauchline???
That can’t be right...Not just that example as there are a few more scenarios in there as well.
  10. Been hearing that all the teams that should have been promoted last season are very confident about the vote at the AGM. They have been phoning around clubs gathering votes. If what I hear is true then fair play to the Lee's who supposedly has refused to back the proposal even tho it means they would win the premier.

  11. f**k sake mate it's the close season. It Really ain't that big a deal. Do u really think the AAFA are gona even care who has signed where and training elsewhere. They should but they wont .

The ones mentioned are not the ones I heard were at training last night. I won’t be name dropping.
  12. Or he could be like u. A very good footballer that does have a clue....... but let's down every team he has been at with a lack of commitment.

At this level commitment is everything and he has the right people around him to learn

I agree, decent boy but hasn’t a fuckin clue about football , couldn’t do it with dean and most certainly will be a hanger on at most at leese
  13. No it isnt.

There are plenty of guys that know plenty about football and are/were great players but have no interest in committing to management or playing.

There are also guys that may not have great football careers or be the next Mourinho that are the absolute reason many Amateur clubs are still going as they are enthusiastic.

Enthusiastic. Another way of saying hasn’t a clue.

And I doubt your last comment.
  14. Cunny had won f**k all Before taking over shortlees. The boy Pearson is enthusiastic and sometimes in Amateur football when u are surrounded by some of the best players in the country and a very good up and coming manager that is enough. Quite sad people would post a picture of him for reactions like above.

One thing I'd bet, by the end of the season he will likely have won more than you two combined

  15. How would u work the strength values out. Sounds interesting

As there's probably no amateur football until October, I'm working on a simulation of the Scottish Amateur Cup, including every single team affiliated to an official Scottish Saturday Amateur league - program should be ready some time tomorrow once I finish plugging in strength values for all 700+ teams.
I'll post the results here if anyone is interested.
  16. It's going to be the longest hardest summer in a long time for most clubs. I think a few "strong" clubs could struggle to come through unscathed. As u say mate. I hope we are wrong

Very true ,  be an interesting year as a think lots of players will be lucky to get the notion to fully commit to it again due to the amount of time we’ve been away from it , hopefully I’m wrong
  17. Yes without a doubt. No idea what ayrshire are going to do but I seen the Caledonian league are planning on playing their full league calendar first and if there is time ( and no second wave ) they will play their cup competitions until the normal end of season date of may. I just hope all the clubs( and new) are still here to see it

Hopefully friendlies get going 4-5 weeks from now?
Gonna be a strange season tho??
  18. That's good news mate. What's happened is no ones fault but would have been a shame for the clubs rebuilding to have been negatively effected

we’ve got everyone apart from 2 resigned from last year at mauchline, but as the same as every other team it’s hard to get new faces about the place till we know a kind of start date or even a friendly for that matter
  19. Some cracking signings agreed but cmon, cash? Sort you are having a laugh. Some rumours flying about this pre season with regards to cash and for once it's not in the Premier.

Killie united making moves already. Some cracking signings. Even better team than last season. Must be spending cash
