Too many big words for me and for that reason I'm out.

Dev have a day off mate. There are also protocols for shops, pubs, restaurants, hairdressers and seeing friends and family. It doesn't mean that they were adhered to nor does it mean that during the worst stage of the worst pandemic In living memory we should be allowing recreational football to be played when people are either dying or losing there business due to being closed down. I love amatuer football and its been a part of my life for over 40 years but its nowhere near important enough to be going on at this minute in time. I understand peoples mental health is important but there are other ways to exercise amd socialise rather than kicking a ball in groups of 22- 50 people

For the life of me I cannot understand why people in the amateur game or the west of Scotland league have an issue with football being stopped. Amateur football has not been treated harshly by not being allowed to play, imo the WOSFL was being treated to slack by being allowed to play.

I don't think there is a chance of that. If anything I think they may try to reduce the traveling for the foreseeable rather than make ayrshire teams travel to Glasgow regularly ( for an example )

I mention this everytime i post on this forum but I am new to the Juniors/WOSFL and I fully understand that this years title race may not be as strong as previous but one thing iv noticed is that its never mention on the Buffs, Clydebank, Troon or Meadow threads, that a title success would mean nothing, only in respect to Darvel. Sounds like bitterness to me. Also side note, as it belongs on a different forum but Celtic have won more trophies in the 4 years since Rangers have been in the same division than the 4 years that they weren't in the same division so I'm not fully sure they added any more of a challenge between 2016 -2020.

Sorry in advance as I'm sure that this information is available somewhere but has Talbot commented of wether they will ( or are they even allowed to ) compete in last seasons Scottish Cup of its gets completed

Where i dont agree they should be open atleast it is for education purposes. Not coz they make £15 expenses a week

Millions of peoples Xmas ruined coz they are being forced off their work, while 48 guys go down the local park ( or travel across the country ) for a game of football coz they are "professional" Madness.....all while only 20 mourners are allowed to bury their loved ones.

I wouldn't think so mate to be affiliated with has nothing to do with games or training. I still had to pay my one off yearly affiliating to my bowling club

As previously said. The activity of playing the game may not be an issue. Just like the activity of sitting sipping a pint in a pub is not the issue. It everything else round about these things. 40 different households congregating in one area. Journeys to and from these areas. Hugging kissing shouting amd singing in each others faces when a goal is scored or wrecked in said pub. They other side is that should the game be played on the Saturday and someone at the game tests positive on the Monday, even if its been passed to no one, all these lads need to isolate for 14 days. How long can that last for? No training, minimum of 2 games called off and 2 weeks off work, likely unpaid. The first time that happens to a club will be an eye opener. The next time that happens to a club they could find themselves with a mass exodus and imo, its not a matter of if that happens but when. No one misses the game more than me. I cannot bear watching that pish on TV. id much rather be at a local park watching the amateur game. I just don't think in the middle of winter in lead up to Xmas is the best time. The only argument against, that holds any weight is the mental health damage. I dont know how to counter that

The best example i can give is the Kilmarnock FC situation. Almost a full first team test positive of covid. Thats not a coincidence. At the very top level where every precaution possible has been pit in place it still managed to decimate a full club. The only positive is that due to their testing procedures that was caught and taken care of. That has happened before and will happen again at the top level. Let's not be kidded it has happened before, happening now and will happen again out our level. We just don't know about it as the majority of young men don't get symptoms, but what they do do is carry it and pass it on but family and workmates. So the lack of testing at our level and the lack of symptoms in people at our level make it very hard to specifically blame a game from our level IMO.

I 100% agree with the example you gave. Thats why I don't think any of them should be allowed. Its different at the top where the testing is so rigid or championship and lower leagues where its considered a major source of income. Anything below league 2, for me, shouldn't be played just yet

Unpopular opinion here but football outwith the top 4 leagues in the country should not be permitted IMO

Where i agree with all your points it also makes an even bigger mockery of the fact that amatuer clubs are not allows to play. They have both already played to the same protocols as each other and now they are using the same facilities. Absolute zero logic

Funny that only a couple weeks ago he was happy enough to throw money at managers to start this season. I hope Thistle do manage to keep running but they are fooling no one with this sudden take the year out attitude

I don't think any club is kidden themselves on. They all know that at best its going to be stop start and just manage to stumble over the finish line, with what is likely to be an untrue version of who were the best and worst teams. See in all honesty, who cares. 90% of amatuer clubs start the season knowing that they are not going to win anything, most players turn up on a Saturday not knowing who they are playing and probably couldnt even tell u all the teams In their league. The vast majority of players committee men or management take part at this level of the game for enjoyment. No it may not be as enjoyable as 18/19 season was but for the last 8 weeks guys have still got out to train 1or 2 x a week and played maybe 4/5 games. With the vast majority not even moaning about changing pitch side. So in short. No the season won't start in time. Yes the season will likely be stop start. No the season may not even finish on time and yes we may lose some men due to changing facilities etc. It would be great tho if they folk could slip away quietly and come back when they feel that this grade of football can meet their requirement and let the rest of the clubs and "dog walkers" enjoy their football fix. No mater how much or little that may be.

If yous don't lose a game its cause their is no Scottish cup. Look like big boys in the LEAFA and do f**k all when u mix with the big boys.

See if football is allowed to continue this week. By the end of November there will be very few clubs thats not had a player who has had contact with someone who has tested positive. For all we know the crosshouse player has been tested and is negative. Kilmarnock especially is riddled with cases just now.

So far today iv heard 1 week, 2 weeks and now 3. I hope it doesn't come but I think that's just wishing thinking
