  1. You forgot Matty Aitken's (1 goal, 2 assists today) Stenhousemuir's falling over
  2. Apologies if covered elsewhere, but with regards seeding for the finals, how does it work? I've seen/read contrasting claims. It it just simply all the teams who qualify through the 'usual' qualifying method using purely number of points gained in qualifying, or does winning the group take precedence for a higher seeding?
  3. Delighted to see the failed statelet back to being a pub team
  4. I can't believe I thought Crighton for Buchanan was an even swap. Buchanan is sensational. I know Forfar fans will get their knickers in a twist but Jamieson, Jamieson, Buchanan is the best keeper/defensive duo in the league by a distance.
  5. Because shuffling senior pros into unfamiliar positions is preferable to putting on absolute dross. Saying that, Reid would have been just about serviceable.
  6. Maybe I'm misremembering but it was stand side, about the half way line. Certainly kicked up a bit of a fuss whoever it was.
  7. There were a few comical dives for sure but I really though he was cleaned out.
  8. I wasn't fully focusing on it so can't be 100% sure but was Yates not booted off the ball right in front of the linesman?
  9. What would be the point of having folk there that we're never going to put on? We had a keeper, defender, midfielder and striker on the bench. Not ideal but there's no point in just filling it up for the sake of it
  10. An entertaining 0-0 draw between two reasonable teams. Probably a fair result with decent chances for both teams.
  11. It costs more money for security to open it but I do wish it was open for away fans even if it was just 50 or so.
  12. Started watching 'Crime', a series based on Irvine Welsh's books. That fucking accent. Far, far worse than the Glasweigan accent.
  13. How was Matthew Shiels last season? He has featured as a trialist for Stenhousemuir (but I believe also has offfers from other clubs)
  14. I do add on a bit at a restaurant out of shame and usually a pound or two to my barber as he does a better job than anyone else I've been to and it's not something I could do myself.
  15. I find the idea of tipping mad, especially when they are carrying out the most basic function of the job they are paid to do. In the last year I've had one takeaway delivered and have not been in a pub where the wait to be served has been over a minute so not even like I can use it to my advantage to 'queue jump'.
  16. Playing a team in your own league in pre season should result in a 3 point deduction
  17. How can Clyde even afford to have even a vaguely competitive budget? Must be circa £150,000 gate receipts + SPFL money + cup money + sponsorship - rent. Given you're paying Stenhousemuir a top end League 2 player a week, I'm surprised your squad is as good as it!
  18. In his post match interview, Brown Ferguson said he expects the 5 who are currently injured to probably be back by the league opener, which is a massive positive.
  19. I understand the need to not just bring 'anyone' in and they have to be vaguely the required standard, but when you have two outfield players on the bench for a competitive match, fans understandably become a bit jumpy.
  20. The majority of the holes look like a flat bit of land and someone has mowed a completely straight fairway. I realise the length, number of bunkers and rough length make it hard, but that doesn't mean good.
  21. Sewell was a reasonable League 2 player. He scored 6 goals in a cumulative 13 and a half games (total minutes). Given many of them were relatively late sub appearances, that's very respectable. I think he just preferred being first name on the team sheet and banging in 40 odd goals a year which is more than fair enough.
  22. If it makes you feel any better, my ball striking consistency off the deck leaves a fair bit to be desired. Do you play at Tryst?
