  1. My girlfriend is away with work for a few days. For the last two days i've basically just done a throbber and drank cans in the house myself and watched films and played football manager. I intend to do the same today
  2. Thanks for that. I cannot believe a completely private or completely state run operation to be the be the best solution. Do you not feel a mixture, dependent on needs and requirements of individual sectors may be the best bet?
  3. Surely the new government, presuably Labour, would then Nationalise it again? I have no idea if privatisation would be better but get the feeling people are against it because they just are, rather than any rational reason. My views on various issues swing from right wing to left wing and would welcome any solution to a problem
  4. If it was a dreadful policy, there would come a point people said 'enough is enough'
  5. I cannot get my head around the fact people believe a Tory government would shaft enough people to cause a certain, catastrophic election defeat, just to please a few fat cat friends
  6. Braunschweig are shit the bed material. I'd prefer Wolfsburg stayed up anyway
  7. That's because an ultra small percentage has been.
  8. If it privatisation wasn't better value for money then surely no government would even risk propose it. No matter how bad you think the Tories are, creating a worse NHS with poorer pay would surely see them spend decades out of government
  9. I'm presuming the shareholders would be existing shareholders of a current healthcare provider that won the bid. Either privatisation is impossible and therefore nothing to worry about or existing shareholders
  10. The NHS could always use more money. From what I've seen first hand, money in the public sector is pissed up against the wall (and I include my wage!). My sister is a doctor and is always talking about the NHS is underfunded but there is a massive waste.
  11. A quick google suggests the current NHS budget is £116BN. If this money was paid to a private company who ran things 0.5% more efficiently, the service could be better and they could make hundreds if millions in profit (I'm not saying that's a good thing) Surely a private company making profit and a better service aren't mutually exclusive?
  12. A quick question. We always hear about the privatisation of the NHS being terrible. If tax stayed the same and it was run by a private company who ran it more efficently with better patient outcomes, why would that be bad? Is it because people think that's impossible or other reasons. It's not something i know much about so genuinely unsure
  13. Livescore letting me down. It's usually excellent for accuracy even in lower leagues
  14. Duisburg and Kiel both promoted automatically to BL2 with a game to spare
  15. Montrose was always one of the best days out, so like Neilly, selfishly hope they stay down.
  16. In a way, I find it a bit of a relief to go down. Circling the drain is no fun whatsoever, but you'd think we'd certainly have the potential to be a top half League 2 club, winning more often than losing. Since we gained promotion in '99, I think we've had 2 or 3 seasons that have been enjoyable on the whole. The' Colin Cram' season the highlight for me and we finished third! When I trot out the fact we've never ever won a league title in 130+ years when a Thistle, Falkirk etc supporting friend moans about their club brings gasps of disbelief.
  17. The vast majority of people I know have a job they don't mind, 40 hr or less working week and earn a reasonable wage that allows them to live comfortably. Although there are many people who are very poor and trapped in low paid, soul destroying jobs, let's not pretend everything is dreadful and we're all miserable. A fair percentage of the population are happy with their lot. It's why the Tories get voted for in the first place
  18. I keep hearing this from people, sometimes in jest but other times fear not. I can understand why sex would decrease due to tiredness, lack of time/privacy after having children. Before having children, I don't understand why couples who live together aren't at it pretty much every night. It's the best thing either of you are going to do in a given day
  19. I think the trainer was fully aware when put into practice at home, happy endings for all would be the order of the day. Some of the techniques and movements were around the groin area and the knowing smile of the trainer suggests she know this is when hands would wander. My fiancee would have been deeply offended if she'd offered to show her how to give a handjob. She likes to think she's pretty good at it already
  20. Went to a couples massage class recently where they tesch you lots of massage techniques to use on each other. It was fairly pricey but worth every penny
  21. I overhead two guys discussing a girl one of them was seeing. He apparently really likes her but they had just had their first sexual encounter and he described her vagina as like 'a badly packed kebab' (which made me snigger because I hadn't heard it years) and he wasn't sure if he should see her again. I felt this was seriously poor form for caring what her her lady bits looked like and he should have his man card revoked for such poor behaviour.
